We got double sliding doors for our back door as we have quite the aggressive cat on the inside and a menagerie of wild animals on the outside which we don’t want to mix and mingle. The doors exceed our expectation. They are sturdy beyond what I thought a sliding patio door could be, Gilde very well and the locking system seems secure- very important as we are a bit worried about the “flimsy ness” of our glass door lock. Joe and his partner were great installers. Dealt with a small issue efficiently and without worry. The install too about 4-5 hours with that aggressive cat I mentioned jumping and hissing at them the whole time through the window (sorry!) Overall we are very happy. Thank you!

I had a s*itty contractor make a mess of the install do my subfloor and just put the wood on top. Found this out when I had a pipe burst and got to see what he did when the tile was replaced. Anyhoo our wood floor was cracking and loose. Everyone said it was water damage and it would need to be removed. Then I contacted Lev who identified the problem right away. I didn’t tell him I already knew. So the guys came and spent an entire day carefully drilling and filling with the adhesive. With my problem they would drill a lot of the holes in the seams but those in the planks were done in the training so the marks are almost undetectable. I’ve attached 3 pics from about 5’7 from the floor and one up close to show how uninvasive the holes are. The floor is now solid and as silent as wood floor should be. We will sure to have Lev back in the future to do more squeaky spots! Thank you!

Yardly breeched their service contract with us. Over and over again all month. They have a sattelite image of your property with the areas to be done highlighted, yet 3/5 times they were dispached, only our 5 ft long walkway was done. They always offered to send someone else to redo it, however it would take hours, so only once did they actually finish the job in their 12 hour window. I got a mass email from their owner so gave them a second chance, then spoke with someone who told me they would deal with it so gave them a THIRD chace. But then, they just never came to finish the job and I was DONE! But worse was they knew they had a contractor who was a problem, and they spoke to him- assured me it wouldn't be a problem. Well the very next day, it was a problem. I waited and waited for him to return to finish the job, and at 4 I finally had enough and called in after dealing with one "operations coodinator" and then another. Long story short, their response was completely inflammitory- that the contractor "promises" we will do his job in the future.. even though THREE TIMES he just hadn't. Like I'm supposed to be sympathetic when I'm paying for a service that isn't happening. So I cancelled my contract- the only part with integrity is that they did agree to refund my month without argument. But get it together guys! Especially with your Danforth area contractors- if you live in the area (Riverdale/Greektown) I'd highly recommend you look elsewhere.

We decided to stay in our house during a kitchen renovation and it has been long and messy. Rebeca and the Dust Ladies have made it much more bearable by coming in every other week and deep cleaning our very cramped living space. Their first clean was super thorough but the care in each subsequent cleaning shows a real prude in work. Plus they are efficient- no moving in with these ladies! Look forward to using them in the future as well.

I’ve used Steve on a recommendation for about 4 projects around the house now and he’s done an excellent job. He did our deck, some caulking and some wall repairs and all were done flawlessly in our 100+ y/o home. He’s honest and fair in his pricing and cares about the end project- no shortcuts with Steve! 100% recommended.

Very happy with the service and the product. It is undetectable- when the awesome workers called me to show me the windows they had done, I couldn't tell the ones with the film from the ones without. And the design of my windows meant that some needed a little caulking-- it is perfect. If I didn't know he had put it there, I wouldn't even notice it. Fair, on time, no issues and great install. Couldn't be happier. * Edit- 2 years later and we are as happy as day 1- when we even remember they are there. Haven’t had to see if they work yet but I’m confident they do (hope I don’t find out!) most impressive is their cauking. While all the caulking elsewhere in the house has started lifting etc their straight even lines are as good as day one! Would the guy who did it like to moonlight and redo all my caulking?? Kind of serious!

I noticed my dryer vent was really dirty, and took a chance on these guys. And they were great. I couldn't ask for more. Polite, on time, didn't leave a mess, but most importantly they did a thorough job. Would and have recommended them to anyone I know.

For big cleans, I go with custom maids instead of my cleaning lady for time's sake. They vary from good to excellent; are much more in depth than any of the other large companies but of course more expensive and less thorough than if you can find a good, reliable private cleaning lady.

Unfortunately, the contractor I hired used Simcoe Cabinets as their millworkers. Many pieces has to be replaced, and I am still not satisfied with their products. They were very slow to install, and installed incorrectly which caused damage to the average to subpar products in the first place. The doors are uneven, and don't close properly due to improper placement of the hinges. The lacquer is poorly applied with drips throughout, and some of the cabinetry is installed completely not square. Every piece is done to the bare minimum. Their attempts to fix their mistakes were half hearted at best, and I was met with blame everytime I pointed out a flaw. But if I didn't stay home to supervise them, I'd be left with a horrible mess, and ridiculous fixes that were completely unacceptable. Their products are not built to last, as less than a year after install they are already falling apart. I obviously do not recommend.

I have a ridiculously hard roof with very limited access that needed to be reshingled somewhat urgently. Dan Scott and his team came out, gave a fair and honest quote, and got the work done quickly. My parents have also used this company, and have been equally as happy. Highly recommended- and there seems to be a lot of discrepancies with roofers in Toronto. These are some of the good guys.

So everyone who comes to my newly renovated house is in awe of this couch. It's a beautiful fabric, very comfortable, midcentury modern beauty. The delivery was actually great- the guys took the garbage and waited while I went to get felt stickers for the feet. And Daniel, the sales guy, is so helpful, patient and enthusiastic. Yes my couch came towards the end of the estimated delivery, but so has EVERY OTHER piece of furniture I own- if not later. 2 thumbs up!

I've hired 1-800 Got Junk twice now as I moved into a house and am slowly unpacking-- and the boxes just pile up. The guys are great- polite, courteous and don't bat an eyelash when I say oh wait one more box.. The best thing about them is they communicate- They call you at the beginning of your time frame and let you know an approximate time they are going to be at your place. And if it differs, they call you promptly to let you know. A big con: They are expensive. But if your time is valuable, then I'd highly recommend.

After a phone call from the owner, I have decided to edit my review- The installer was great, kind, courteous and neat in his work. The bed was built flawlessly- a heavy piece that is known to be one of the hardest that the manufacturer makes. The bed for assembly was clearly too much for one person, and I sent the specs to the owner beforehand AND mentioned I knew it was a hard bed to put together. The installer did a great job and did not complain, but it was clearly too much bed for one person to build, and if he weren't a quite large/strong guy, it just wouldn't have been possible. He also came late after another job ran overtime, but did call and informed he was running behind. The owner did call after the original review of this was posted, and explained his part of the story and to see what he could do to make up for the situation. I believe this might have been a one off situation like he stated, but unfortunately I can only comment on my personal experience.

First off, I apologize that there were scheduling issues and although my focus is always to accommodate everyone at times it is simply not manageable. 99% of our work orders are completed exactly as envisioned but the 1% is when emergencies or other things happen that we have no control over. I also agree that although such things do happen it really depends on how things are resolved that makes a difference.

In the end I am glad to hear that the installation went smoothly, the bed is assembled and we are ecstatic to hear that you are willing to give us another chance. I look forward to the opportunity to proving to you why we really are the best in the industry. Please let me know how we can help!

These were great movers-- and they def. were proof of the good looking firemen stereotype being accurate.. The move went really well and smoothly- a few (labelled boxes) ended up in the wrong place (on the wrong floor) but such is. They also were able to put together some furniture on the spot as they were done earlier than their minimum time window. The frustration truly was the consultation for the move- the owner WAY overestimated the time and caused me much stress in a stressful time with my property management trying to book a double elevator session. His estimate was 4 hours elevator time but they actually only needed about 45 minutes. He also sent a massive truck that was less than 1/4 full. He added much unneeded stress by overestimating the amount of time and difficulty of what was a simple move. BUT the movers were great and the move day went smoothly- maybe take the owner's comments with a grain of salt. I take my reviews seriously as I base my decisions on other peoples. I went back through and decided to add a star on my own accord.

We are super happy that this move went incredibly well for Joanna! It was me (Lorne Babiuk) who did this estimate back in October and at the time of the estimate the apartment had a lot of items, bins and boxes in it. Joanna did say that she was getting rid of a lot of stuff at that time. She even had hired an organizing company (a good one!) to help her with the job of preparing for her move. As an estimator it's my job to make sure that our clients understand what the worst case scenario would look like if they aren't able to get rid of as much stuff as they hoped for. I had a big concern whether we would be able to get this job completed (with a small elevator window) if the client was unable to scale back what was being moved. Obviously she did a great job of that! In these cases where a clients prepare well for their move they are the ones that benefit the most by paying less in the end. I'm very sorry that Joanna felt stressed about what I was telling her as that certainly was not my intent, nor ever would be, so my apologies there. I was simply trying to make sure that the client would know what the costs and time frame would look like if she was unable to scale back her contents. Congrats on a job well done by you Joanna and we hope you enjoy your new home. Cheers.

Harvey came through with great blinds at a fair price and the installation was clean and well done. He has a wide variety of fabrics to choose from, and worked hard to get in the blinds quickly. Would def. recommend-- Will use for other upholstery needs.

I just closed my home, and was looking for a locksmith to change the locks during this pre-holiday week. I contacted 2 other locksmiths who were closer to my home, and honestly, they were rude on the phone, and could not make a set appointment time. John was very kind on the phone, and made a set time for an appointment, so I went with him. Today, I arrived at the house just as the appointment was scheduled, and John was waiting outside, but not annoyed. The change was quick and efficient. No pushing for upgrades, and he offered to put things all on the same key. He also took the time to show me how to use one of my locks which was a bit different and gave me a tip to make sure to change a keypad lock battery every 6 months. Highly recommend; a nice guy, good service, always nice to give business to the good guys!!!

They were great- very sociable and didn't bat an eye at my overly messy and cluttered apartment. More importantly, they did a fantastic job cleaning up the place. What more can one ask? Also great to hire students and help them out; 100% honest, hard working and friendly. Good pricing as well.
