We changed a couple of bedroom windows, with brick to brick installation. The prices were quite reasonable, and they are top quality windows. I'm very happy with the installation, which included a wooden frame and wood moldings. Tony M made sure that all of my questions were answered, and ensure that the window appointment for installation, met with my availability. Installer was very patient, and made sure to explain the process to me. We're very happy with the results, they look great, and open smoothly.

Roy from Westview did my driveway a few years ago. It's been holding up really well. After 3 years the driveway starts to lose its natural oils, so I had a company come out and spray it with Black Mac asphalt coating, to restore the oils. It's looking great, a lot better than some of the other driveways I've seen in the neighborhood that were done even more recently. there were a few things I did to make sure that it stayed in place. 1. Installation of a solid edging 2. Insisting that the driveway base settle for a number of months before paving 3. Paving completed on a hot clear day 3. Do not allow trucks on it 4. Did not drive on it for the first week

*** Response to A & Y Plumbing's response - blaming the customer and the bathtub company without taking any responsibility, is not the correct approach - saying that it was "impossible" to notice the defect before installing the tub, is ridiculous - I noticed the defect, and spoke to Alex on the phone about it prior to installation. I asked him to write it on the work order to investigate - I talked to the plumber about this, and asked him to check it - He felt it was ok, despite the fact that there was a port open to the air, outside the tub, leading to a connected water jet! - He insisted that he was an expert and insisted that there was nothing wrong with the tub, instead of investigating - He was wrong ******* I read the reviews about this company and they looked pretty good. I'm sure they are fine for small repairs and installing faucets. I had a similar experience, to another recent review, about a bathroom upgrade. I was left with a flooded house, multiple giant holes in the ceiling, and scratched walls on my freshly painted hallway. The company wanted to charge me extra for finding the leak, that in the process of finding, destroyed my ceiling. Let's get to the beginning of the story: I ordered a whirlpool tub from Costco, which was delivered to my home. I inspected this tub, and decided to call a plumber to do the installation, because I was not qualified to do it myself. I noticed a pipe on the hot tub, which led out from one of the jets, was open, while all the other ones were closed. I asked Alex, the person who answered the phone from the plumbing company, to please make a note on the work order of this concern, and to have the plumber verify if this is okay. he told me that it's not necessary to make a note of it, because the plumber is a professional, and he would notice any problems. I should have canceled at that point, because ignoring customer concerns is not good practice. The reviews were pretty good on this company and I decided to go ahead because I trusted them. I was not home when they showed up, because they were late. I did call the plumber and ask him to please inspect that pipe. He assured me that he would. A few hours later I came home to double-check his progress, and to remind him about inspecting the tub. I saw that as he had moved the bathtub up the stairs, he had done a lot of scratches along my walls which were freshly painted just a few months before. I had spent more than $500 to paint that hallway. In a short time, he had made a brand new paint job look like garbage. Things were not looking good. But I did see that the bathtub was in place. The plumber assured me that everything was inspected. I left and let him finish his work. I came back later and he was ready to go. After he left, I finished the faucet plumbing, and tested the tub. my wife was downstairs and started yelling about the tub leaking. I quickly drained it all, and called Alex. I had to wait until they came back a day or two later, to check it. Instead of quickly checking, the plumber kept the water running forever, causing a huge flood in the ceiling, and then he felt that he had to cut open two giant holes in my textured ceiling of the living room. After causing several thousand dollars in damage, Alex called me from their head office, stating that I owed them more money for the inspection. Eventually we found that the cause of the leak, was the same pipe that I was initially concerned about and asked him several times to inspect. Alex wanted $200 extra, and meanwhile I wanted them to pay for the damages. I didn't really want to get into a big argument. I told him I would hold back any payment until damages could be assessed. The living room ceiling is still not fixed. I did not pursue him for damages. The blame is somewhat on the manufacturer of the tub. And that's why I didn't give a zero rating. They got paid $500 for their work, plus taxes, minus $50 for a can of paint. I lost thousands of dollars in damages.

Thank you for the feed back. Just to point out, the work was done two years and one month ago before the review was posted and until then we were not aware about this until the review was posted. The last time the customer contacted us was in October 18, 2016 and informed us that that the manufacturing company will compensate for the costs. We learned these concerns only from the review.

As you can read from the customer's review: the leak was caused by a manufacturer defect which was identified by us when we conducted the leak investigation. It was determined that the leak was the result of a manufacturer defect in the area of the jet tubing. This kind of manufacturer defect can be detected visually very rarely since the right layout of the tubing is determined by the manufacturing company specialists and it is pretested after the assembly of the unit in the factory. This is why, it could not be detected visually by us, but only when the whirlpool starts working, the leak may appear.

N.B: We did this work in September of 2016.
We need to mention the bathtub was very heavy and when they carried it, they accidentally scratched the wall. We recognize this was our fault and we changed our policies from 2016. From then on, if the bathtub is very heavy, we ask the customer to invite movers to bring it upstairs. This is more safe and will protect their properties. As for this case, we asked the customer how much to compensate for the wall and the customer said: $50. In the review, the customer said he spent more money to paint the hallway, but we asked if we should pay more and he said $50 is good. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and we have been more careful since then on. If the bathtub is really heavy, we advise the customer to bring in movers.

To recap: before installing the whirlpool, we visually checked the tub for damages. This is our regular procedure which we do every time before any installations. It is a necessary part of the installation. We did not find any visual damages that would prevent us from doing the installation.
Shortly after the installation, the customer called us about a leak and we scheduled an appointment. We do not know why it was 2 days later, because more than 2 years have passed and we cannot recollect this. Usually we come on the same day or the day after if the customer wants us to check something. On this visit we needed to conduct an investigation in order to find the source of the leak. For this, a standard procedure for water leaks was conducted. A water test was conducted and no leaks were detected from upstairs. The only way to determine the source of the leak was to open the ceiling. He opened it with the customer's permission. Prior to the investigation, as was discussed with the customer, if the leak was found to be a result of our work then we would take full responsibility for the ceiling and further plumbing repairs. With the customer's permission, the ceiling was opened. During the investigation, the plumber identified that there were no problems with our drain and water connections and we ruled out this possibility. The only possibility left was a manufacturer defect which was confirmed later on. To emphasize again, prior to the installation a visual assessment for damages on the whirlpool was done by us. At the end it was found out that the leak was caused by a manufacturer defect on the jet tubing. At the point of visual inspection, such a defect could not be identified by us visually. In no case it could have been seen visually by us. Again, when we did the visual inspection, we did not find any visual damages that would prevent us from doing the installation. Besides, it was tested by manufacturer assemblers prior to being bought by the customer. After the investigation, I spoke to the customer and he told us to send him an invoice for the leak investigation, which we did.

Some further highlights: in a few weeks we contacted him to ask if he contacted the manufacturing company. In the middle of October the customer sent us a message that the manufacturing company agreed to cover his costs including our invoice and he would pay us. Please note that this was after a month that the service was completed. After that we did not hear from the customer about any concerns and references to any damages mentioned in the review, nor that he is connecting anything at all back to our work. During this time, the customer did not reach us with any concerns or questions or issues. The last time we heard from him was in October 16, 2016 when he told us about him contacting the manufacturer company of the whirlpool and that the company will pay his costs. So we didn't hear from the customer at all during all of this time until the review was posted - it was posted 3 months ago.

We built our reputation over the years. We worked hard all of this time to make sure that the customers are happy with our work and to provide them with the best work that we can do. We pay attention to all their concerns and return calls right away when they want to check or recheck something as well as accommodate their needs in any potential situation. We always get back to our customers and clarify/address any concerns in a prompt manner. This review took us by surprise but we will take this experience to grow further while taking in mind this experience.

My driveway was a few years old, and starting to show signs of dryness. I looked around for a proper driveway improvement, and came across Perfect Sealing. I had some oil spots and a little driveway damage. Sebastian said that he could fix it all and provide a nice uniform result. Sebastian was very good at scheduling the job when I needed it. He showed up exactly on time. He took his time to clean the driveway properly, and prep the surface. He fixed the issues. The job was done perfectly as described. It looks great now. I would gladly recommend Sebastian.

Chris advertises everywhere he can for tiling jobs. He then hires illegal immigrants to do the work. He keeps workers a short time, until they realize that he isn't paying them. Chris also took some items from one worker, prompting a confrontation, where police were involved.

**** to Carol - I did call your office, and spoke with the owner. Several times he made promises, with the condition that I take down any reviews before he fulfilled those promises. I kept my end of the deal, but then all of his promises were ignored. So you will continue to see this review ***** Kevin from NT Home Service, brought 2 men to my house, to install air conditioning. He promised that he would process my rebate paperwork. The men insisted on payment in cash, including for the HST. After I paid, they didn't provide a receipt, and said that I should ask Kevin for the receipt. They quickly ran away, but not before I got a photograph of their license plate. After numerous calls to Kevin (who mysteriously claimed to have quit the company that day, but still shows up in recent reviews) and company management, I got nowhere. After posting a bad review, the company owner called me in the middle of the night. He told me that he wanted to come to my house to talk about it, right away (it was almost 10 pm) unless I remove the bad review. I told him I would remove it, but I simply needed a receipt for the work, so I could collect on my rebate. He made all sorts of promises, but in the end, he said that Kevin doesn't work for him, and there is no record at his company of my air conditioner. Since I see that Kevin is still working there, I'm writing some more reviews of Kevin.

I signed a contract with Reliance, through a 3rd party HVAC company. I had just bought a house, which had a 12 year old Direct Energy water heater. My insurance doesn't allow anything older than 10 years. Over the 8 years with Reliance, I found them a lot easier to deal with than Direct Energy had been. That being said, there were still the occasional mix-ups in billing, which went against my contract. Sometimes they were straightened out with one phone call, sometimes up to 3 calls. On average, each issue required 2 phone calls. The water tank was serviced 3 times in 8 years, including thermocouple replacement, and the gas valve. If I called in the morning, the technician arrived same day. Evening calls were resolved next day. I've since upgraded to a tankless. I dropped the old tank, back to Reliance. My contract, plus all the people I talked to, plus the paper I got upon returning the tank, did not talk about any fee for returning the tank. They did tell me of a charge, if they picked up the tank. Which is why I returned it personally. Now they charged me a $40 plus tax "return fee". The first time I called, I was told that they have no access to help me, and they would transfer me to a manager. Instead, I got disconnected. I'm calling back a second time. I'm on hold, waiting to talk to someone. I figured I'll use this time on hold. I've been to the bathroom, taken a shower, and wrote this review. Still on hold. Reliance charged me $40.

This is my second time using this company to install new equipment. 7 years ago they installed my furnace and a rental water heater, plus a humidifier, and Honeywell air cleaner. Everything is working well, without any problems. Recently I called Eugene again, as we decided we want a tankless water heater. He was very quick to respond, gave a competitive quote, and helped select the right water heater. Installation was done well, and we are happy with our tankless system.

I called Magical Pest Control to get rid of wasps which were in my house. They agreed to come over and fog the walls, to flush out the insects. Instead of a fogging machine, which would produce a large volume of fog and get rid of everything, they used a straw and a small spray can. The wasps got worse and angrier than ever. Instead of just a few wasps in the basement, we now have wasps everywhere in the house. When I talked to a woman at Magical Pest Control, in the customer service department, instead of explaining how she could help, she just yelled at me. I would avoid this company.

Mark did a great job building our fence. He carefully listened to our requirements, and built what we wanted. His work is precise and accurate. The cleanup afterwards was thorough, he even carted away the dirt which had been dug up, since I did not have any space for it.

I had a problem, since I bought my house. The upstairs bedroom, especially on one side of the house, was always much colder than the downstairs in the winter, and hotter in the summer. My house is a few decades old, and based on the older building codes. The attic was insulated to a level below R-30, and possibly even R-20 as the insulation lost effectiveness over the decades. I suspected that the attic insulation was causing these problems. After searching for a company which had excellent reviews, I found Eco Comfort. Wojtek answered the phone when I called, and was able to explain in detail what his company does. I was able to provide sizing and other details on the phone, and received an estimate immediately. There were a few items I needed done, including properly connecting my bathroom fan, and straightening out the insulation around my skylight. Wojtek included these items in the very reasonable price. The crew of 3 men and a large truck, showed up exactly as scheduled, to the minute, on the day of the appointment. They quickly completed the work, within about two hours, on my small home. They provided photos as well. The job was completed to well above my expectations. The insulation gets blown in through a long hose, directly from the truck, to the attic. The crew took off their shoes inside the house, and even vacuumed up after they were finished. The job was done very cleanly, and this was much appreciated. They also took the time to explain what they were doing, and provided photos along the way. The night after the insulation upgrades, the upstairs bedrooms were much hotter than usual. Instead of setting the thermostat to 24 degrees, as we had been used to, we were able to set it down lower, on the next night. The temperature in the house is much more balanced now, and all the rooms feel more even. There is noticeable less temperature difference between the floors, and between the rooms. I'm very happy with the results, and as far as heating/cooling upgrades, this is the best possible value for the money spent. I would recommend this for anyone who is noticing a temperature difference between various rooms in the house, either too cold in the winter, or too hot in the summer.

Thank you for your business and your great review!
If the job is big or small, we take great care in providing the same level of care for both. Insulation can potentially be messy, unless the right precautions are taken. Our company policy is to leave our client's home cleaner than it was before!
I'm very happy that you are feeling the difference our services have made! Have a great summer!

Roy did an amazing job. He was highly recommended to me, and I'm glad to have found him. This is as good as driveways can get. The job was done properly, starting with a perfectly straight cut, right down to the straight edge on my grass line, in preparation for the wood curbs. The gravel was left to settle for an appropriate amount of time, and a beautiful paving job was done. I'm very happy and will recommend Westview Paving to all my friends.

I needed some landscaping work done, and found this company on Craigslist. Two men came out, and gave a very reasonable price. They promised to start work as soon as possible. We had a written contract, and I assumed that my search was over, that I would not need to worry about having my backyard done. All I needed to do was pay the money, and my yard would be fixed. They cancelled on me several times, and then said that they would call when the weather was better. I called once every week, and they told me that they would call back when they could fit it in their schedule. Over a month has gone by, and it seems that they have just wasted my time. I have to look for another company now.

Basement wall was cracked in several spots. I contacted this company to look at the wall, and see if it was repairable. After repairing the crack, it continued to leak, and Jason sent someone over to re-inspect it. Unfortunately, the wall had further cracks that were not feasible to repair using injection. Jason has agreed to send me a refund.

I bought a house, which needed some repairs. My driveway was cracked, and looked pretty bad. I hired The Driveway Doctor to seal my driveway. They use commercial grade coat, containing real asphalt, which they brush on. No spray is used. They did a very neat job, I'm happy with the results.

When I bought a house, there were so many expenses, I decided that I could live without cable television. Instead, I went to Angel Electronics, and bought the following items: An 8 bay Channel Master HD antenna - 10 foot steel pole - Chimney mount - 100 feet RG6 cable - 50 feet grounding wire Angel Electronics sold me all of the above at a great price, and also recommended an independent installer. I paid the installer to mount the antenna to my roof, and run the cable.

Excellent company. I had an old, rusty door, which was a pain to open. I called The Door Doctor. Someone came over the next morning to give me an estimate. They were priced lower than the big box stores, and most other competitors. I ordered a door with window and insulation, plus an automatic opener. Within a few days, they came to my house, and completed the installation in one afternoon. The two installers were absolutely professional in every way. The installation quality is impeccable. More than a year has passed, and the door still looks and operates like new. If anyone asks, I will recommend The Door Doctor.
