We hired John to help us fully renovate the 1st and 2nd floors of our house. No structural changes were required but the scope of work was extensive and John executed flawlessly. Full renovation of the kitchen, 2 bathrooms and the laundry room, replaced all flooring (wood and tile), doors, baseboards and light fixtures, painted top to bottom, redesigned and refinished the stairwell, replaced a wood burning fireplace with a new gas one and more. On budget, no surprises, excellent communication, expert design and finish recommendations and completed 3 weeks early. This also included mid-project scope changes (driven by us) which John accommodated professionally, within the time lines and at a reasonable cost. John is a hands-on owner and was involved in the project during the entire process. He was on site most days but when not, site supervision and management was provided by Wagner who also did an excellent job. Work flow was synchronized with various trades and crews being mobilizing with precise timing and always being respectful of our house. They were not the cheapest quote but very competitively priced and honestly, we got great value for our money. Our space has been transformed and we're absolutely thrilled with the quality of work and the results. Highly recommend without hesitation!

This is the 2nd time I've had Maxaire do work on my house and they did not disappoint as expected. The first visit was to replace the furnace and install a tankless water heater. This visit was to replace the humidifier. Both jobs went flawlessly. Karnik is the front man - setting up appointments, quotes, etc. I agree with other reviewers - he's fair in pricing and honest - refreshing and a pleasure to deal with. Erick ran the installs - so knowledgeable and willing to educate. Quality of work is top notch and he left the place clean and tidy. Appreciated for sure. Highly recommend without hesitation.

In the middle of the cold snap in Toronto when frozen pipes and no heat were an issue for so many, getting someone to help with my drainage/flooding issue was a problem. Absolute was recommended to me by another plumbing company (yes - they're that good) as they're drainage experts and glad they did. The root system from my maple tree had found its way into the original pipes and had caused a major barricade. Andrew came in with his camera scope, diagnosed the problem within a few minutes, gave me a quote on the spot and was back the next day with his crew to start the work. He also recommended the install of a backwash valve and helped me to navigate the required permit, city inspection and paperwork for the rebate currently being offered by the city. Great idea as the floor had to be opened up anyway - get it all done at once before the new flooring goes down! He also replaced a leaky shut off valve for me. All in all, Absolute was reasonably priced and did quick, quality work. Great experience working with Andrew and his team! Would recommend without hesitation.

Reached out to Junkit based on my contractors advice and was not disappointed. Booking on line - easy. Email confirmation and reminder - appreciated. Bin dropped - where I wanted (back of the driveway on 2x4s to protect the asphalt) and the snow shoveled out. Staff - courteous and professional. The drop off window was very wide and had a bunch of stuff to get done that day. Quick call in the morning and the gentleman who answered got on the phone with the driver and had the time frame narrowed down to a 45 min window (I'm sure that doesn't happen all the time but was very helpful on my demo day). Glad I called Junkit - would definitely use them again.

Introduced to Cleanfreshair through a Groupon for duct cleaning. Fully expected to pay more than the voucher covered as its been a long time since servicing. Rasi and Raul were punctual, efficient and professional, recommending only services that I needed - no pressure with upsell. Work was good and fast - ducts, furnace and AC were a mess but no longer (as demonstrated by the before and after pics). If you have pets, ensure you have somewhere for them to go - very loud and scary for them. Would hire again.

I needed a countertop for a bathroom reno. The team at Maxspace were great and easy to work with. I ran into an issue with the fit of the countertop (my fault - not their's), came up with an idea to correct and the team at Maxspace came through for me. The countertop looks beautiful - they do top-notch work at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend!

Had a door insert and door sweep replace - small job but Barry (and Dan) didn't make me feel like it was. They were in and out within 1/2 hour, left my home neat and tidy and were very professional. I couldn't make up my mind so they brought both styles for me to choose from so I could save a trip to their showroom. I went with the Genesis model and what doesn't really come out in the pics is the fact that there's some smoked glass in it - contemporary and classy. Barry was quick to respond to my request for a quote and in all subsequent communications. Would definitely recommend What a Pane!

I found YCL Structural Design on Homestars and very glad I did. I needed drawings pulled together very quickly and Yu Ching and his team did just that - even working the weekend which was very much appreciated. They also submitted for the permits which saved me a lot of hassle. I found them to be professional, knowledgeable, responsive, empathetic, meticulous and a great team to work with. They understood my situation and took the extra steps to make it as easy for me as possible. I would highly recommend YCL and would use them again in a heartbeat.

Carl (and his dream team) were wonderful to work with. Carl was very patient with my questions and concerns - addressing them all knowledgeably and with professionalism. The team arrived as scheduled and completed the work as scheduled. They were very conscientious and meticulous - tarping and erecting protection for my property as well as the neighbours, leaving no hazards and my property looking better than when they arrived. Additionally, they were very polite and respectful of my privacy and space (I was home through the work). The workmanship is solid - beautiful and strong. I had my roof done last year and have had ABSOLUTELY no issues. I would recommend Carl and his team without hesitation.

There was a micro-burst storm yesterday and I was the unfortunate recipient of a massively damaged tree. Not just any tree, one of my treasured 100 year old cedars in the backyard. I wanted it cleaned up but more importantly, I wanted to work with someone who would help me to salvage it if I could. My neighbour recommended Craig and his team as he had worked with them in the past. I also checked them out on HomeStars - great reviews (and here comes another one). I called Craig this morning and left a message. He called back quickly and was at my house by 10:30. We agreed on a game plan - he was going to be able to save my cedar, do some shaping and put it on a good path to recovery - what a relief. He made a commitment to me to return this afternoon with his crew. Even though their truck broke down, he had it quickly repaired and kept his promise to me. The clean up took about 3 hours and in that time they cleared the debris, chipped the scraps, chopped some pieces into firewood, stacked the firewood and saved the larger pieces for me so I can have something beautiful made for my home. Additionally, the fallen limb was resting on the phone wires (of course). The team worked delicately around them and were able to NOT disconnect my service - no small feat. Except for a slightly wounded deck and some obvious marks on the cedar, you would never know what had happened just the day before. I will be calling CB Trees for all my tree needs. Why? Because they're AWESOME - professional, knowledgeable, meticulous, diligent and fairly priced.
