I could spend all afternoon walking through this store. It is well organized and full of great items that need a new home: doors, sinks, hardware, etc. The recycled denim insulation has turned a drafty room into a cozy family area.

Mark was excellent to deal with, gave prompt and professional estimates, and made me feel as if replacing my roof could be booked when I needed it. Not only was my roof replaced but his crew also dismantled a sizeable structure without any complains or added cost. The job was done quickly and expertly.

Ray was excellent with accommodating my schedule and with booking the job before the house went on the market. I was not happy with their cleanliness and it felt as if he was more concerned with getting the job done as quickly as possible rather than focusing on the details.

Timberline wooden replacement windows were bought for my home. Atchue was one of the few places that sold a solid replacement window that was wooden. Their service was excellent and their staff was very knowledgable.

A special painting had a glass break so it was taken to Michaels because they were having a 50% discount. The frame was originally done by a small picture shop that I assumed would do a good job. The Michaels serviceperson clearly knew his job and showed evidence to indicate that inferior material was ruining the picture. Thank you Michaels for your advice and suggestions that saved my picture!

The salesperson at Amherst Farmers Supply was kind while looking at various buckets to collect sap. The store is clean and organized and seems to offer many services. I plan to go back to order chickens and buy some stone pavers.

The Whiting serviceman came on time as expected. He was friendly, kind, and professional. He showed me how to turn off the furnace and hot water heater in an emergency.

In order to begin a home improvement project, it was necessary for ABIDE to give me an estimate and do the job ASAP. The job was to remove asbestos from the basement. The job was done professionally and the person was very courteous.

After moving into our new "old" home the upstairs bathroom began to leak into the downstairs ceiling. I was able to set up an appointment with Pickering for a repair. The job was more complicated than expected but they were great to work with and did a great job of cleaning up.

The Tool Shed is a little hole in the wall store that could be a goldmine for your home repair needs. All types of tools can be bought at a bargain and the owner is incredibly helpful and fair. I have bought a table saw and other tools. New tools are always coming in so joining the newsletter is recommended.

Cowles offered us great service! We were adding a door to our house and a bay window. During the planning process, the dimensions changed numerous times. With much patience and professional advice, we happily ordered these items and are very happy with their appearance and function.

Gardner mattresses are outstanding! None of this polyester and fake material stuff. Why would you want to sleep on something fake when you can select a nice and comfortable cotton mattress. I also found the prices to be very reasonable and the service was helpful.

As a new homeowner I wanted to bless my house with a new grill! Ideally a Weber grill but I just wanted to get something that was good. Sears had a large selection, knowledgeable staff, and free set-up. The free set-up was my selling point but I was happy with the available selection. Even though Webers were available I went with a cheaper model that had as much quality. THe set-up was my only disappointment b/c I had to fix the ignitor button.

Amherst Glass has been a savior for my house! I have brought countless broken glass panes, bought several storm windows, and had screens repaired. Each instance has been a great experience and done with fine craftmanship. In addition it is a small and quaint store that is fun to enter.

My old laptop was dying and I brought it in to be checked out. The staff at College Pro was great and knowledgeable. They were also very fair with pricing and were not looking to charge me for everything that was done. My next computer repair or purchase will definitely be from them!

As a home owner I always need to rent specialized equipment. Northampton Rental is far and away the best store in the area. The tools are in good shape, there is a large assortment, and the staff is friendly. I have never been nickel and dimed for a rental product and I have always felt valued by the staff.

If you are buying any home repair product (doors, moulding, tools, and odds) you should visit Grossmans first. They have such a large assortment of products and I guarantee that you will be happy with the price if what you are looking for is available. The selection could be limited but you should visit the store first for a potential bargain!

The sales representative was very informative and helpful. I did not feel pressured to buy and was encouraged to think about my decision and then come back. We are very satisfied with both appliances and plan to return when we remodel our kitchen.

My sons needed gardening gloves for a school project. We went to Hadley Garden Center to see what they had. Each child had a variety of gloves to choose from in their size and came out of the store proudly wearing their new apparel.

Dale Hawley and his sons moved into our "new" house days after we closed. For 2 months they arrived promptly in the early morning and finished around 4pm. Though his workmanship was thorough, it was the care he took to clean the worksite at the end of each work day. Also, as a stay-at-home mom, I greatly appreciate his attentiveness to safety at the worksite.

The showroom displays many styles of lighting fixtures. The representative helped us match our finishes between 2 different lighting fixture companies. The saleswoman was professional and knowledgeable about the products.

The equipment did not work when I brought it home. I called and they asked me to bring it in. After looking at the machine, it was determined to be BROKEN and another machine was given to me to take home. It did not look like it was in good condition, and it barely did a decent job. I will not go back.

The very helpful sales staff helped us locate the perfect tile for our bathroom remodeling. Under a tight schedule, we were assured the order would be in between 2-3 weeks. When it arrived, 5 weeks after we placed our order, they forgot to load one of the four boxes. The store was closed when we realized this, so my husband and father cut the larger tiles down to size. We explained this to the store and they offered us a refund for the box of tile.

Northampton Rental Center enabled my husband to install drywall on our living room ceiling by himself. The equipment was clean and in good working order. The salesman was informative and friendly.

Rocky's Ace Hardware was clean and well-organized. The product was easy to find on the shelf. The cashier was friendly. I would be happy to shop there again for our next project's supplies.
