Andy Aluminum was hired to install and reslope an eaves trough, relocate a downspout and install trim within all eaves in April. Andy is as nice as one can be. He and his crew did a great job, were on time and professional, worked efficiently and cleaned up thoroughly. Some aspects of the project were challenging but Andy was determined to resolve the issues with a patient, quiet demeanour, refreshing sense of professionalism, and pride of workmanship. He also recommended some helpful options to consider. Like nobody else, Andy has been true to his word to return promptly to address any issues that have arisen since. He is a hardworking, trustworthy person who has his clients best interests in mind. Looking forward to working with him in the future and highly recommend Andy for his meticulous work and attention to detail.

This was a most positive experience with John who was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was able to provide next day service and arrived promptly. John was clearly very familiar with the system and got to work right away. He looked closely and efficiently at all zones and adjusted them accordingly. He also explained how and why the system had been set up as it had been. Had he installed the system, it would definitely run more efficiently. John suggested future improvements which made a lot of sense. He neatly and professionally repaired two heads and graciously spared the expense of a third by using a working head from an unused zone to replace one that needed to be changed. He did all this with a patient and accommodating manner. Not only is John extremely capable and competent but he is also an extremely nice person, polite and gracious. He did an excellent job so if you are looking for top notch service and repair, John is your man and Green Valley would be the way to go. Thank you very much John!

When the boiler conked out, of roughly ten companies contacted, most calls went un-returned or to voice mails. Replies received ranged from non responsiveness, to “We don’t service NTI boilers.”, to “I’m away for the weekend – find someone else!” Thank goodness for Amanda, our first point of contact with AccuServ. What a refreshing difference when an actual person answers the phone and is polite, friendly and empathetic to your situation. With a positive and reassuring tone, Amanda quickly and efficiently arranged for someone to come out within two hours. She explained who would be coming and something of their background, information that was again, reassuring. Amanda even went so far as to call back within 15 minutes to confirm a more precise ETA which, by AccuServ standards, means Exact Time of Arrival, not Estimated Time of Arrival. At 6:00 PM on the nose and as promised, at the end of a long day, Aaron and Dilraj arrived, pleasantly and calmly introducing themselves as if their day had only just begun. They politely removed their shoes before entering – a courtesy greatly appreciated by clean freaks like us who had spread drop sheets from the door to the furnace just in case that didn’t happen. If they were tired, they never let on during the next 90 minutes or so they spent providing education, suggesting repairs to the existing system, generating alternatives and options. To appreciate their expertise, it is noteworthy that a year prior, efforts were made to service the boiler but the experience was always the same: Two people for whom we’d waited three weeks, stood scratching their heads for extended periods of time, whispering, wondering and speaking in languages foreign so as to exclude our comprehension. In sharp contrast, Aaron was transparent in his honesty and did not hold back any ‘secrets’ while he competently and readily sized up the system in minutes. It was immediately apparent that he is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, educated, focused and current on all matters Hydronics, heating, cooling and much more. He spoke passionately about every aspect and detail, large and small. One got the sense from a soft-spoken Dilraj that he well understood all that Aaron was explaining and addressed various questions during that discussion. You could see their eyes tracing the paths of every piece of pipe and wire, quietly dismantling and rebuilding the system from scratch - properly - in their heads. They had a clear picture of what needed to be done and exactly what the finished product could be. To that end, many helpful photos were shown of what the solution would look like and what a particular part looked like. Aaron tactfully and politely pointed out myriads of deficiencies with the existing set up without being critical. He spoke factually, explaining why various components were improperly located, nullifying their purposes, rendering the system inefficient. Among many things, he exposed a gas line that was, in his words, “…not unsafe but certainly not up to code”. He didn’t belabour any issue but took time to explain many things, including differences in the quality and sizing of materials AccuServ uses versus what was currently in place. He did not try to upsell anything but rather set out a few scenarios for consideration. Their expertise and professionalism clearly evident, Aaron and Dilraj established confidence and trust from the start. Lengthy conversations with James began shortly thereafter. Like clockwork, easily understood and accurately detailed quotes were emailed. James is a very good and patient listener. He devoted a great deal of time responding to questions, addressing concerns, providing further explanation and clarification. He was not put off when asked the same question twice. James provided his direct line and always answered his phone or returned calls within minutes - literally. He was equally responsive to emailed questions, even well after hours, offering a level of customer service and responsiveness that sets his company head and shoulders above the competition and other ‘ten star’ companies that simply did not measure up to their ratings like AccuServ. Moreover, James well appreciated and acknowledged the significant and unexpected nature of the expenditure and went to lengths to patiently ensure a complex situation was kept as simple and as readily understandable as possible. That in itself is no small task when dealing with customers who know nothing of the Science of Hydronics and who have, since childhood, referred to the furnace area as Scary Place. The AccuServ group have their business application well streamlined such that what can be fabricated offsite is done in advance, magically revealing itself tailored to the space, made-to-measure in advance of installation day. A new installation - what other contractors/companies suggested would be a daunting task - was a routine day’s work for this Fab Four team, skillfully lead by Aaron and comprised of Dilraj, Rahul, and Josh. They arrived promptly, were neat, clean, respectful, professional, efficient, thoroughly skilled and knowledgeable in their craft. Every measure was checked, rechecked, tested, retested, tweaked and re-tweaked to perfection throughout the day. Under Aaron’s vigilant eye, including one at the back of his head, Dilraj, Rahul and Josh worked easily and seamlessly together in a small, humid space, without complaint. There was no downtime nor wasted time. Working as a cohesive team like a well-oiled machine, Aaron, Dilraj, Rahul and Josh, The Fab Four, were 100% focused, prepared, organized, proficient, detail-oriented and diligent, anticipating three steps ahead at all times. The Fab Four went above and beyond in the exceptional service they provided. They were thoughtful not to install various components in such a way as to interfere with other pieces of equipment unrelated to the system, ensuring unrelated equipment remained accessible and undamaged. A practical service light was installed without discussion. Aaron even tried to fix the basement door handle which had loosened under heavier use during the course the day. In relocating a vacuum hose holder, they patched and painted that area as well as other small areas wherever they even mildly suspected having contributed to the presence of minor scratches or smudge marks on walls. Because the little things are the big things, it is noteworthy that our paint can was left neatly and tightly sealed. Well stocked and clearly always prepared, they used their own (new) paint roller and tray. Moreover, the team worked neatly the entire time, respecting the residence as if it were their own, never leaning dirty hands or dusty bodies against walls, cleaning up thoroughly nonetheless, taking away all garbage and leaving the work space extremely tidy. Humidifier installation was scheduled for another day. Within less than two weeks, Rahul arrived on time, as well mannered and gracious as before, fully prepared and well stocked with filters as arranged during his first visit. It was a pleasure having him back and a relief knowing there would be nothing to worry about. He offered a creative and smart solution for some rusted springs that come with the air handler. He reviewed his work and included instructions on how to use the system, explained some of the finer details and offered helpful tips and guidelines regarding humidification. He rechecked the entire system again and made some additional adjustments in light of the upcoming change of season and addition and the humidifier. True to form, Rahul executed his work with the same efficient and well organized strategy as before, entirely familiar with the task at hand, continuing to respect the residence as his own, having removed his shoes without being asked and executing the project professionally, efficiently, neatly -- all with a most polite, calm and at ease manner. I cannot more highly recommend this well organized, committed, reliable, trustworthy and accommodating company and crew: From the first point of positive contact with Amanda, to the quick response time, punctuality and extraordinary expertise of the installation team, to the time spent by James patiently bridging key gaps and answering critical questions, this was a precise and perfectly executed project. Everyone was pleasant, making interactions smooth and easy. Beyond installation, everyone at AccuServ continues to be entirely professional, polite and diligent in their follow ups. AccuServ, highly competent and extremely well versed on the complexities of Hydronics, makes it clear that they stand behind the products and systems they sell and high level of workmanship they offer by way of an excellent warranty and service plan. Because follow up and service is critical and long term, it is most comforting to know that the teams who fabricate, install and service this equipment know their product inside and out. Their website is very informative with excellent visuals and well worth reviewing. It was an absolutely positive first experience with AccuServ, a company that truly deserves the highest rating and this lengthy review. They provide excellent service; their quality of workmanship and execution is truly impressive. To highly recommend them is an understatement. To look forward to working with them for many years is a weight lifted and replaced with comfort and confidence knowing that the highest quality of expertise is on your side. Scary Place has been transformed. Thank you AccuServ!

When the basement flooded after a severe rainstorm earlier this June, finding CanadaWaterproofers and meeting Carl, his brother “Paul #1” and close friend, Paul #2 were the best things that could have happened. In initially calling the company, was told someone would call back within 30 minutes. In less time than that, Carl phoned and arranged to meet within a couple hours. He arrived promptly, took time to investigate multiple issues, formulated a plan of action, patiently and thoroughly explaining all details with an eye to keeping costs down, not going to extremes, taking things step by step. He asked all the right questions in considering sustainable solutions. His calm demeanour and sense of practicality reduced tension and concerns immediately. Work commenced within five days, scheduled for an 8:30 - 9:00 AM start time. It subsequently came to light that they drove all the way from Niagara on the Lake to honour their commitment, arriving earl at 8:15 AM, ready to work. No excuses about traffic or road construction as one often hears. It is worth mentioning that they got up at 5 AM to be on time. Despite a heat wave that day and working within the confines of a very, very tight space, everybody went about their business with smiles, lighthearted attitudes and not a single complaint. They were extremely mindful to ensure no damage to walls, doors, carpet, etc., and went to lengths to keep the mess of a dusty job to a minimum, readily obliged requests in that regard even if it meant extra effort on their part. They said they treat customers’ homes as their own and they certainly did. They cleaned up nicely, were very respectful, polite and refreshingly, never used bad language. Required follow up was also promptly and professionally received so when Carl said he would return to tidy up loose ends, he meant it. Because it happens all too often that people promise to return and do not, this is another attribute worth noting. Carl took it upon himself to address additional issues directly and indirectly related to the causes for the flooded basement, ensuring that prior sloppy workmanship was rectified, making repairs above and beyond the scope of the work discussed with a keen eye for aesthetics. It is worth mentioning that the manner in which he pointed out various deficiencies was done in a professional, constructive, positive, non-critical manner. Carl provided exceptional, knowledgeable, prompt, professional service with a quality of honesty and integrity that sets them apart. In part because there was no solicited request to post a review, and in part because of the exceptional service received, time was happily taken to craft this review at length. Looking forward to working with Carl and his team on future projects as well as an on an unrelated issue so without question, do highly recommend them.

Despite it being Sunday of a long weekend, I received prompt and professional service when Rob called to say that he would be at my place to fix my garage door within an hour. He arrived earlier than that and immediately fixed the problem. He went on to answer all my questions related to the sensors, keypad, etc. and what to do during a power outage to open the garage door. We spoke at length and Rob was then kind enough to repeat everything so that I could write it down. He explained prior to arrival that given the after hours nature of the call, the cost would be a certain amount but if it was a quick fix, he would adjust the price. It was a quick fix and he honoured his word with a fair and reduced price. He gave me a lot of relevant education and information. He was most pleasant, easy going, patient and extremely well versed - a very knowledgeable professional. He could have opened the garage door in the dark if he had to. It was a pleasure to meet Rob. Look forward to calling on him and Atlas Overhead in the future and pleased to continue the tradition of using Atlas Overhead as my parents did for years. Thank you Rob.

Ken from Gotcha Wildlife picked up his phone on the second ring, provided a prompt appointment and showed up on time. Between the initial phone call and the appointment, he took calls and offered helpful advice. He was very professional, clean and neat. Despite a heat wave, he did extremely thorough inspections of premises, roof, attic, porch, furnace room where raccoon access was suspected. While their presence was evident on the roof and on the ground, no access point was found. Due to many sleepless nights spent listening to various sounds on the roof/inside the attic and having made several racoon sightings on the roof and trees, Ken went back up on the roof to inspect a second time. He treated for mice due to evidence of mouse holes in attic. He worked in a hot attic during a heat wave without complaint. He made specific recommendations and how and where to cut a tree to deter future racoons. He said to call any time and meant it: He was very helpful when taken up on that, post-appointment on several occasions and provided as much time as needed to address subsequent concerns. Ken was very fair with his charge and very thorough with his work. Ken is a shining example of a good person who is a hardworking, reliable, responsible and well versed/knowledgeable professional. Would call on him again without hesitation and highly recommend Ken as the seasoned and skilled person to whom to entrust with your wildlife problems.

Blair came twice last year, once for a squirrel issue, once for mice. (The price refers to his last visit in June, 2014) When he came for the mice, he was NOT PREPARED, had to leave to purchase mouse bait and return, extending the service call by more than half an hour but he was nice enough, respectful of the property. Called him July 12 to make appointment to deal with racoons and (again) with mice in attic. He DID NOT CALL BACK. Called again next morning. He said he was not working that day; he booked the appointment for four days later between 10AM-12PM. Waited those four days and waited all morning, till 1:00 PM for him. HE WAS A NO-SHOW. A note was left for him on the door in case he decided to show up but the note remained pinned to the door for several days. HE DID NOT CALL TO CANCEL OR APOLOGIZE FOR BLOWING US OFF OR WASTING OUR TIME. His VOICE MAIL WAS FULL and remained so for the next TEN days. Finally managed to leave a message to reschedule and remind him of his missed appointment. HE DID NOT RETURN THE CALL. Attempted contact via his website. HE DID REPLY. As a repeat customer or even a first time customer, one would expect SERVICE. To this day he NEVER GOT BACK TO US. These are the facts. Contacted another company where an actual person picked up the phone, scheduled a PROMPT appointment, showed up on time, did multiple thorough inspections, including in the attic where Blair had previously treated for mice. Mouse bait Blair used turned out to be standard grade, available at any hardware store so we could have done that ourselves! It was evident that the mouse bait was untouched, i.e. 100% ineffective/useless. NEVER WRITTEN A BAD REVIEW before but these comments are appropriate, accurate and deserved. Needless to say, we will NEVER use Blair's services again and would NEVER in a million years recommend him as as professional, reliable, effective or trustworthy.

I was extremely nervous to engage a duct cleaning service (first time), was very concerned about damage, fragile surfaces, fresh paint, etc. When I called The Duct Cleaning Specialists, Mariela, competently and knowledgeably explained all aspects of the process, assured me my home would be treated as their own, and addressed my numerous questions. Still, Mariela sensed I remained very concerned and suggested I speak with Paul who patiently re-addressed all my issues without pressuring me in any way. The appointment was booked to flex with my schedule and confirmed a few days prior. My special requests for clean drop sheets, that the technicians wear booties, etc. were all accurately noted in the work order (and obliged at the service call). In light of my many concerns, I believe I received special consideration from Paul who sent one of his top flight teams, Steve and Mark, who made me feel like my satisfaction and peace of mind were all that mattered. They arrived punctually, equipment in hand, relaxed (i.e. not stressed, hurried) and ready to work. Their appearances clean and neat, they efficiently proceeded to inspect furnace filters and photograph relevant ducts. I was especially impressed with their candor in that after doing so, they said they would be pleased to provide the service but felt in all honesty that the ducts did not require cleaning. We reviewed the photos and I showed them my Dustbuster filter full of grey dust. They offered to and did vacuum all floor vents and any other areas I was willing to have accessed, repaired a ceiling vent, took extra time with a couple of improperly fitted floor vents, charging only an assessment fee. They really went out of their way for me. Their honesty and fairness - so rare these days - was refreshing and greatly appreciated. Professionalism is in the details: They carried their equipment on a folded drop sheet so as not to scratch or dirty the floors. They did not lean on walls or take smoke breaks. They cleaned up after themselves. They were mindful of where they left wet, snowy boots so as not to stain the floor. They really did treat my home like a palace. Moreover, they were as nice as anyone could be, not only to me but to an ill family member -- that was especially touching and worth mentioning, if only to underscore Steve and Mark’s genuine caring natures. I value honesty, punctuality, cleanliness, neatness, patience, professionalism and greatly appreciate the family and home treated with respect and care. All this -- from the initial phone call, throughout the service call, and to Paul’s follow up call -- I found through and through with The Duct Cleaning Specialists and each person with whom I dealt. This is an honest company run by and employing good, honest people who genuinely care about the caliber of their work and the (dust-free) impression they leave behind. I would not hesitate to call Paul and to specifically request Steve and Mark in the future. I highly recommend The Duct Cleaning Specialists to anyone with high standards who values integrity and a professional work ethic.
