Chris and staff were all very professional, courteous and easy to work with. The staff cleaned up the job site every day before they leave. Chris and his trades were very responsive to our requests, and kept us updated on issues arising from the renovation. Issues will always come up in an older home. How the contractor address it with the home owner can make the process pleasant to deal with.

Although we lived at the house while the renovation went on, there was minimal interruption to our daily life.

Very pleased. Chris' services do cost more than other contractors' quotes. However, having gone through one "cheap" nightmarish contractor, the money is well-spent.

We are pretty proud to show off our new bathroom/laundry room thanks to Chris at Remodel construction and his very skilled and professional crew. He is the all inclusive package you want for you new reno. His service includes draftsmen, electricians, plumbers, contractors and all the permits and inspections that go with each trade. It was a no headache reno for us and the finished product was just beautiful! We highly recommend Chris & his team for your next reno.

First off, let me start by saying that I have never met a contractor that has either always picked up the phone when you call or respond to an e-mail or voicemail within a day. Chris does maintain excellent communication throughout the project and you should not worry about him or his team leaving you stranded in the middle of your project.

I communicated with Chris for about a year on this project. 6 months before the start of the project while I was evaluating contractors and throughout the project. This was a major project which included finishing the basement of a brand new house. Chris managed everything from getting the drawings done, to handling inspections, certifications and he also picked up material that we selected at the Home Depot and Lowes which was a big help.

Because of the size of our project, there were some unforeseen challenges mainly due to the city's requirements. Chris tried to resolve them in the most efficient manner possible.

Chris also was very accommodating to our change requests and managed them with us to ensure that we were happy. We also asked for a window to be put in to allow for more light. He navigated the permit process with ease for us and ensured that we were informed at every step of the process. We also procured hard to get material for us which many other contractors would not have been able to do.

The workmanship and professionalism of Chris and all of this trades were excellent! They showed up as promised, on time, and left the work area clean. The only constructive thing I would say is that Remodel's services are priced at the higher end of the spectrum. I do think that you have to pay for high quality work and in the end we were really happy with the finished product.

Chris was also very responsive after the completion of the project to any issues that arose and addressed them promptly.

Overall, we are very happy with the job that Chris and his team did for us and would definitely hire him again in the future.

I recently hired Remodel Construction Company to remodel my main bathroom. I had no experience with this type of work but Chris, the owner made the entire project a very positive one. I was given a start date and told how long the job would take. The start and end dates were met. Chris stayed in contact every day throughout and would be there in the morning to introduce us to the various tradesmen doing the work. Each of the tradesmen was friendly and professional and their work provided amazing results! The work area was tidied up each day and everyone showed tremendous respect for my home. Chris responded quickly to any unforeseen issues that came up (due to the age of the house) and provided options to keep the job on time and within budget. I really appreciated their input when it came to the finishing touches as their experience means they can see pitfalls before they occur. Their goal was to give me what I wanted, but if I had questions they had the answers. It was a truly collaborative experience! Chris and his team were very responsive to our needs for immediate work necessary to temporarily repair fence damage and then in providing a restored permanent fence. Their work was professional, cost effective and was a perfect solution to our situation. The team was very courteous and clean in carrying out their work. They delivered on all of their commitments as promised and we would have no hesitation using them again or recommending them to others.

Remodel has been doing home improvements on our home for over ten years. The reason we retain our contractor is beause from the initial meeting they listened carefully, provided a thorough and detailed description of the project, outlined the phases, pricing and ways to minimize household disruption. The estimates we were given were exactly what we were charged. There were no hidden fees or surprises. We were given exact estimates with regard to the quantity of materials required and advice with regard to the best places to purchase them. Chris is a true gentleman. The craftsmen were consummate professionals who took pride in every facet of the job, every detail , were precise and patient. They provided us with advice and options as needed to ensure that we would be more than satisfied with the finished product . They took the time to accompany us to the supplier when needed to purchase material. Remodel makes the journey a great experience from start to finish because they are personable and driven to achieve customer satisfaction. I really consider them family now.
I would recommend them to anyone who doesn’t wish to play Russian roulette with contractors. They are dependable, reliable and true to their word. Remodel is accessible and willing to answer questions or work through any design issues in a timely fashion. They are reasonable, resourceful and are up- to date when it comes to construction technology.. They balance function with design. They make any renovation project a breeze and have repeatedly succeeded our expectations . I am a satisfied lifer . Two thumbs up!

Remodel Construction just completed a reno on our small bathroom and did an outstanding job in so many ways. I mention small because these days it’s difficult to get contractors to even bid on a small job. Not only did Chris respond immediately to our inquiry but also he worked closely with us all the way through. I have a few checkmark requirements for contractors and Chris gets checkmarks for every item:
• Understand the customer’s needs and work to meet them. Definitely, a check here. We had a budget in mind and Chris did a lot of research to find a tub, tile, shower door, vanity, etc. that are high quality and in our price range.
• Work done on time, another checkmark. Chris started and completed the job on the dates we agreed to.
• Quality workmanship – excellent workmanship
• Stay within budget – absolutely. Not a penny over, no unexpected increases, no surprises
• Service orientation – Chris worked for well over a month conferring with us on how to stick to our budget while having high quality products. All this before we signed a contract. All of his staff are hard working, friendly and respectful.
• Minimal intrusion in our home – our home is small and this is the only bathroom with a shower. We had use of our shower within a day of the tear down. Staff ensured there was minimal dust during the reno and did an excellent job cleaning up each day, making sure equipment was out of sight and there was no dust or debris. Since we have a dog that roams the house, this was really important

Our last project was the demolition of a garage and rebuild on a corner lot with a single access lane. Remodel reviewed the plans with the architect suggesting workable solutions. Our contractor had a symbiotic relationship with the architect especially interacting with the city, Committee of Adjustments and permits. Chris has extensive knowledge in architectural design , building codes , zoning regulations and policy. This was a time- consuming venture before getting lift off. Then Chris had
a challenging role with paperwork and ordering materials. His expertise years of experience,
established relationship with professional subcontractors, master carpenters and electricians , coupled with lots of time on-site ensured
a detailed, finished and aesthetically pleasing project.
Due to the volume of rain in June and some add ons . Remodel was able to deliver on a tight schedule without sacrifice to craftsmanship. Chris scheduled and met with inspectors, as each job was completed,. Needless to say it passed with flying colours.

Like many in Ajax, the column on our front porch was rotting at the bottom. The team at Remodel Construction replaced it with a fibreglass column. Coordinating the project was easy and the work was completed as promised. They left the site clean and did a nice job.
