We have had various projects done by Remodel for over 30 years. Our last project was the demolition of a garage and rebuild on a corner lot with a single access lane. We knew this would be a hornet's nest with the neighbours but Remodel navigated the project smoothly, in a courteous, cleanly and time efficient manner. Our neighbours took note of that. Remodel reviewed the plans with the architect suggesting workable solutions. Our contractor had a symbiotic relationship with the architect especially interacting with the city, Committee of Adjustments and permits. Chris has extensive knowledge in architectural design , building codes , zoning regulations and policy. This was a time- consuming venture before getting lift off. Then Chris had a challenging role with paperwork and ordering materials. His expertise years of experience, established relationship with professional subcontractors, master carpenters and electricians , coupled with lots of time on-site ensured a detailed, finished and aesthetically pleasing project. Due to the volume of rain in June and some add ons . Remodel was able to deliver on a tight schedule without sacrifice to craftsmanship. Chris scheduled and met with inspectors, as each job was completed,. Needless to say it passed with flying colours. 5 Beyond knowledge of products and the latest effective building materials honesty is crucial when it comes to being a great general contractor. Your new garage was certainly a challenging project for us due to the required approvals needed by the different levels of government. We were required to obtain a permit to remove trees from the City of Toronto forestry department which required us to first obtain an arborist report. The new garage also required a demolition and a permit to build the new garage which we had to obtain by going through (COA) committee of adjustment. It took about 9 months before we got all the necessary approvals and permits required to start construction.
After being in business for so long we have developed excellent working relationships with many qualified and licensed sub trades which we used on your project and subsequently complete their job in a timely and efficient manor and passed inspections by both the City of Toronto and the (ESA) Electrical Safety Authority.
During any larger scale project we will always encounter some obsticals and challenges that need to worked through. We always try to come up with best solution possible with your input included. We believe in constant communication with our clients during any project by giving them updates along with site meetings to discuss the project and discuss issues that may arise. Good communication and having a good working relationship with any client is key to the success of any project.
