We recently contacted Grizzly Plumbing to replace the main water valve in our house. After a recent renovation, the old valve wasnt turning off properly unless it was in the perfect sweet spot. Brad was very responsive and helpful and dealt with contacting the city to have the main water supply turned off/on. Hes a master plumber and very good at his job. Weve used Grizzly in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

We recently had Montemayor complete a renovation of the laundry space in our basement. We learned of their services through our neighbours who did a large scale renovation in the summer and who are now doing a 2nd large renovation of their basement. Its always a good sign when you invite contractors back! Santiago, Cesar and the rest of the team are excellent. Santiago was extremely responsive providing a quote and accurate timeline and answering all our questions before/during the job. Were thrilled with the finished look of the space and its now much more functional too. Without reservation, we would highly recommend Montemayor for any renovation work.

In July, a tree came down damaging our old, rotting fence beyond reasonable repair. Our neighbour contacted Ron because Crossgate has completed a number of projects (fences, decks, etc.) on our street and we admired their workmanship and the quality of the jobs completed. We shared this project with our neighbour and we're thrilled with the final result. We have a high quality, sturdy and attractive 6 ft. fence that has enhanced the look of our property and given us a higher degree of privacy. Thank you Ron! I highly recommend Crossgate.

We contacted Hickory Dickory Decks (Scarborough) in the fall of 2020 and worked with Geoff over a couple of weeks to review the options/cost/timeline. He was a pleasure to work with and outlined the project in detail and provided timely responses to all our questions. It was not the most straight-forward deck because it had to be built over an existing cement staircase and patio. We booked the work in November 2020 to be completed in Spring 2021. The job started at the beginning of May. Kosal and Guillermo were on-site for almost 3 weeks. They started early and worked 10 to 12 hour days. Their attention to detail was incredible and our neighbours commented on their professionalism, work ethic and all-around friendliness. The railings were installed yesterday (on a Sunday!!) completing the job. We are thrilled with the outcome and wish these guys could do all our renovation projects. They are the real deal and I give them 10 stars!!

We needed a custom door and frame installed beneath an outdoor cement deck. It needed to be weather-proof as it is exposed to all the elements. They framed it with 'plastic' wood to eliminate rot and fit the door in the space perfectly. The install was done in approximately 6 hours and the work area was left clean (like they were never there!). We would not hesitate to contact Odd Job Handyman again.

We've had both of our bathrooms renovated by Avonlea and we've been impressed with the process from start to finish. John is responsive to enquiries and providing a detailed quote/timeline for the work to be done. He makes the process easy. On this occasion we needed some work done in the bathroom they did 13 years ago (a jetted tub was at the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced). Gabriel and his father were punctual and the job space was immaculate at the end of each day. The tiling they did was impeccable - they were able to match the original tile and only a keen eye would be able to tell this tub isn't the original one in this space. The work was done exactly when they said it would be and looks fantastic. Without reservation, I would highly recommend Avonlea.

The process from start to finish was seamless and professional. Our Sales Associate, German was excellent. We came to the showroom on a Saturday and it was nearly closing time but German took the time needed to clearly outline our options and explain the process/wait times we could expect. He stayed in touch in the months leading up to the install and is taking charge of submitting our Green Ontario rebate forms for us. Our installation date was delayed due to extreme rain but Casa Bella quickly rescheduled the date and sent 4 installers so the job would be completed in 1 day. All 4 were excellent (Ricardo, Mike and 2 men whose names I didn't get). They were efficient with their time and the quality of their workmanship was excellent. A thorough clean-up was done when they finished. I would highly recommend Casa Bella.

I contacted AC Electric on a Monday and spoke with 2 very pleasant individuals - one of them was Nick who reviewed with me over the phone what work was required and the cost and we booked the service for Wednesday. My husband said the electrician who performed the work was punctual, pleasant and proficient. The job was completed and the area (bedroom) cleaned in just over an hour. Excellent service - we would definitely use AC Electric again without hesitation.

We were required by Toronto Hydro to have a smart meter installed. When the technician came to do the job, he discovered our old meter had been cemented into the brick on the front of our house. We contacted Dave at Red Robin to get a quote on removing the brick around the old meter and replacing the brick in an "aesthetically pleasing way". Dave and his business partner, Mike were prompt, professional and the work was completed on time and right on budget. Having a hydro meter on the front facade of your home isn't ideal but the guys have repaired the brick for the best result possible. I would highly recommended Red Robin.

Based on reviews on Homestars, I had contacted another highly rated electrical company to provide a quote on potlight installation. After 2 emails quotation requests and 2 calls with no return messages, I contacted Hotwire and I'm glad I did. Oris, Chris and Grant did an excellent job - they showed up on time, were very personable and finished the work and cleaned up efficiently. Oris explained why our previous lights didn't work and made recommendations about LED bulbs in the future. At the office, Hannah was very personable and efficient. It was a pleasure doing business with this company and I would recommend them without hesitation.
