Mitch and Chris did a fantastic job rebuilding the hearth of our fireplace (required due to some cracking in the original fireplace floor). They explained exactly what they would do before they started, and made sure we understood before proceeding with the work. The work was completed exactly as described and for the agreed price. We are very happy with the work and look forward to seeing them next year for our annual cleaning/sweeping. Highly recommend these guys!

I emailed AAA Gates' Wildlife Control late at night, after hearing something running around and chewing on things on the attic. I asked for an appointment the next morning, and amazingly their Customer Care Centre was able to book a technician to come investigate for the requested day and time. Pete came by right on time, quickly did a thorough inspection and confirmed an entry point. He gave me a quote, detailing all the work that was needed. It is an old house, so there were a lot of places that needed to be sealed up to be sure that nothing could get in. Huge thanks to Jennifer in the office - so quick and friendly, she was able to get the work booked for the next morning, and even helped me apply a little coupon to the invoice. Pete arrived on time again, worked so fast and did a beautiful job. He even cleaned out a little section on the gutter for me with a mini tree growing out of it, while he was up there! Pete even came out to my top deck and sealed up a couple holes out there. He came back a couple days later to check and remove the one way door, and assured me that if I heard anything else, I could just contact the office and he would be back. Such a short turnaround from hearing a noise in the attic to having the work done! I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again for any wildlife removal, and I would ask for Pete.

I contacted Swift-X after reading all the positive reviews, and am so happy I chose them. Mike was able to book an appointment to spray and bait for ants the next day and showed up right when he said he would. I had carpenter ants in one location, and pharaoh ants in another, and I feel confident that both types are in the throes of death right now. Mike was very friendly and knowledgeable, explaining everything about the process and what to expect in the coming weeks. Mike was very thorough, and I wouldn't hesitate to call him for any pest problems in the future. Thanks Mike!!

I called Award Plus Plumbing after seeing the positive reviews on Homestars, and I am so glad I did! Alex arrived very promptly, and quickly diagnosed where the leak was coming from. He knew exactly where to cut into the drywall to access the leaky pipe, and had it fixed so fast! Alex took the time to put on those little booties to keep everything tidy, put down a drop cloth before working, and wore a mask throughout his visit. He is a true expert in his field, and I will definitely be calling him again if I have any plumbing issues in the future. On top of everything else he is so nice and friendly, explaining everything along the way. Thanks Alex! You are awesome!

I contacted a couple companies for quotes to repair the stain on my swirl plaster ceiling, and the Wall Doctor had the best price. I knew they were a good company from all the positive reviews, so I asked them to book me in as soon as they were able. The office assistant Penelope was wonderful, always very quick to respond as we emailed back and forth to confirm a final date for the repairs. Daniel and Greg arrived right on time, and were both so friendly! I didn't think they would be able to plaster and paint in the same day, so I hadn't moved everything out of the room. They moved everything, put down drop sheets, and even let me know that it was a smaller job than they anticipated from the photos, so they advised that the price would be lower than the original quote. Wow! That shows you what an honest company this is - that they would lower the agreed upon price because the size of the job wasn't as big as they thought. They removed the damaged plaster, got rid of the stain, replastered the area and painted the ceiling, then cleaned up and were gone within 7 hours. I will definitely use this company again for any future ceiling or wall repairs. Thanks Daniel and Greg!

I found Ontario Paving and reached out to Luca after reading all the positive reviews. He was (by far) the most responsive of all the companies I reached out to, and gave me a great quote on our driveway. His team was incredibly fast, but there were no cut corners on the amazing job they did. They cleaned everything up when they were done, and the gentle slope and edges on our driveway look perfect. I needed some broken heavy furniture removed from my office space. I created the appointment on a Thursday afternoon, scheduled for Friday morning. They called when they were 30 minutes away, showed up on time, worked very quickly, and were such a pleasure to talk to! On top of that, the invoice was exactly what I expected when I booked the appointment (the price estimator during the booking process was a great little tool). A wonderful experience all around - I would not hesitate to use this company again. Keep up the great work, guys!!

I found Aqua Tech Waterproofing on Homestars, and they quoted the lowest price for the job with a 25 year warranty, so I decided to go with them for my basement waterproofing. Andrew was amazing! He contacted me and worked around my availability, and I didn't have to be home for them to complete the job. Even though Andrew said it might be a two day job, his crew stayed late to get it all done in one day, because there was a good chance of rain the next morning - and they didn't want to leave anything exposed to the weather overnight. In addition to all that, they crew cleaned and swept up everything (debris, leaves, dust) - the side of my house looked better than it did when they arrived. I think they even oiled my mailbox hinge, because it was no longer squeaky when they left! This company deserves their a high rating on Homestars - I will definitely use them again if I am ever in need of their services. Thanks Aqua Tech, and thanks Andrew!

After reading all the positive reviews for the Duct Cleaning Specialists, I decided to use them for cleaning the vents and ducts of our recently purchased home. I'm so glad I did! Our technician (Mark) was amazing - showed up right on schedule, was very polite and friendly, and didn't stop working until the job was done. He even helped me move a 4 tier shelving unit out of the way so that he could get to the furnace with his cleaning gear, with no complaints about the unexpected extra work. He took pics of the ducts and showed me how clean they were when the job was done. What a difference - the air already seems cleaner! I would definitely recommend the Duct Cleaning Specialists to anyone looking for quality work and professionalism - I'll be using them again when our ducts need cleaning in the future.
