We used Jeff and Wood Specialties to refinish our dining room furniture and are very pleased with the outcome. While the work was being done Jeff kept updated on how the project was going and once done, he provided us with instructions for care (good bye Pledge!). The furniture turned out beautifully and it has given the room new life! We would definitely use Jeff and Wood Specialties for other projects!

Last Saturday we had Got Junk come in to remove a dresser and media unit. Zack and Oz called to let us know they were on their way and were there in less time than they stated. Both men were very friendly, explained what the removal was going to cost and told us that the furniture would be donated to the yard sale. We've used Got Junk's services many times and are always impressed with the calibre of the staff. Zack and Oz were friendly and efficient.

We recently had our 40+ year old furnace replaced and decided it was time to clean the ducts. We have lived in the house for 22 years and never had this done, in spite of the numerous offers we get over the phone! I found Dave's Duct cleaning on the Home Stars site and was impressed with the reviews and the fact that the company responded to their customer's comments. I was not disappointed. Everything was handled in a very professional manner (from booking with Stanley, to reminders, cleaning and follow-up). On the day of the appointment, I was kept informed as to when the crew would arrive. They arrived early! Brendan and his crew were great! They were knowledgeable and professional. They explained what was going to be done and how it would be done. They kept me informed throughout the process and didn't mind my curiosity. They showed me before and after pictures - even downloaded them on my computer. They even showed concern for our old cat - who spent the afternoon hiding under a bed! One thing that really stood out for me was how clean these guys kept the place - I really didn't know what to expect - especially given how dirty the vents were. It was a very positive experience and I have already started recommending the service to my friends.

Shortly after the ice storm, we noticed water in our basement. We contacted numerous waterproofing companies and were referred to Mud Monkeys Waterproofing by a company that did not work in the east end of Toronto. First and foremost, Darby and his crew have to be one of the nicest and easiest groups of people to deal with. Darby came out, assessed the work and gave a reasonable quote. He did not try to oversell us, like other companies did. When his crew arrived, they were polite, worked quickly and kept me up to date on the work and how it was progressing - they encouraged questions and didn't mind my curiosity. They kept the site clean - which was a big deal for me as I envisioned muck everywhere. In the end, the only sign that work was done was the cut in the asphalt. (Darby also recommended someone to repair the area, once it had settled.) Would definitely use Darby and his crew again and would highly recommend them!

We have used Bill Rapport on numerous projects around the house. Most recently he replaced all the windows. The work was done within the timeline agreed to. The work team did an amazing job on the installation and did it with minimal disruption. They also left the site very clean. The windows look beautiful! I would not hesitate to recommend Bill and his services!

We hired Deck Space through Home Depot. They were very responsive. Showed up to do the quote in a very timely manner, brought design ideas to the initial meeting. The work was completed with minimal disruption and they kept the site very clean. Also provided advice on how to treat the cedar. Will definitely use them for the back deck!
