Premium account holders on HomeStars can be eligible for the awards in just 3 simple steps:

Best of Newly Listed Award

1. Have a HomeStars Verified Badge: The HomeStars Verification Badge is given after a few background checks to ensure that homeowners can hire with complete peace of mind. As it expires every three years, renew your Verification Badge on time.  
2. Have the minimum number of reviews: Depending on the category of your work, you will need between 3 to 6 reviews in the calendar year. 
3. Star Score: As a trust metric for homeowners and calculated considering your responsiveness, recency and recommendations, you must maintain a healthy Star Score of 85+ to be eligible for the awards. 

Best of Award

1. Have a HomeStars Verified Badge: The HomeStars Verification Badge is given after a few background checks to ensure that homeowners can hire with complete peace of mind. As it expires every three years, renew your Verification Badge on time.  
2. Have the required number of reviews: Depending on the category of your work, you will need between 6 to 12 reviews in the calendar year (January 1st, 2022 – December 31st, 2022). 
3. Star Score: This is a trust metric developed by calculating your responsiveness, recency and how likely you are to be recommended by homeowners. Ensure you have a healthy Star Score of 85+ to be eligible for the awards. 

Best of the Best Award

1. Have a HomeStars Verified Badge: The HomeStars Verification Badge is given after a few background checks to ensure that homeowners can hire with complete peace of mind. As it expires every three years, renew your Verification Badge on time.  
2. Winning the Best of Award: To be eligible for the Best of the Best award, your business should be the Best of Award winner for three consecutive years or more. 
3. Meet the Best of Award criteria: In addition to the above, you must also be eligible for the criteria listed under the Best of Award category.
