My parents used Rooted Tree Services twice. The first was 4 yr ago to cut down a tree in our front yard. They did a great job and we used them again in April 2020 to do another tree removal job in our backyard. They are very professional and efficient. I would highly recommend them to our friends and family. We give them 5 stars!

Mike responded quickly and gave a very reasonable quote for some work in my basement: replacing about 15 ft section of copper pipe that was carrying NG to my fireplace, and installing about 10 ft NG pipe to a new location for my gas dryer. Work was done quickly and as requested.

We hired A to Z plumbing to do a number of jobs in our basement renovation. Digging and installing new drainage rough in for toilet, vanity drain and shower drainage, along with venting. They replaced a 6' section of clay pipe and the kitchen drain/clean out. They installed a backflow valve which needed about 5 feet deep digging to access the main pipe. Lastly, Dmitri assessed the source of a small leak in my concrete floor, and recommended a solution (installing about 20' of weeping tile in the interior, connected to a new sump pump). All of this work was done quickly, with them answering questions and providing their recommendations. Dmitri is a professional and I'd hire them again!

Hired Mr.Drywall to install drywall in my basement reno (800 ft2 space). The quote was competitive (certainly some quotes from other company's were much much higher), and I felt confident in them based on reviews and meeting them. Once the process started, with delivery of the materials, there were some communication issues, regarding timing of when to be home, when work would start. The actual hanging of the drywall went well, quickly and efficiently. Mudding and taping took longer due to the weather and basement conditions, which Mr.Drywall could not help, but they gave many reco's to me to try to speed up the drying time. Some areas of mudding were challenging, and they did a good job building it up, to look clean and sharp. Some other areas needed touch up, which were pointed out after priming, and they came back and did a reasonable job fixing most spots. Drywall is a messy job best left to pros if you want it to look great.

I reached out to a number of shower glass companies, and decided on Shower Lagoon due to their quick and details responses to my questions, their competitive pricing, and a feeling of confidence after meeting Billy who did the measurements, answered my questions and gave suggestions. The installers came on time and the glass looks great. The company even provided some extra service that I requested (additional caulking around the shower) free of charge, which was generous. Service level here is fantastic.

After literally 2 months trying to get my Samsung Dryer repaired by a "certified Samsung repair company" (called Koambra) with zero callbacks or email replies, I got fed up and tried homestars. I called Delroy and he returned my call in 20 minutes. 2.5 hrs after his call, he was at my house and fixed the problem within 20 minutes. As I wasn't personally present, he had no problem coming back the next day to pick up payment. Lightning fast, pleasant and honest, Delroy was the right choice!

Alex and his crew installed 16 potlights and 2 island pendants, and a new switch. They did this with no damage to the ceiling and cleaned up well. Alex spent time on the phone to explain the options and suggestions and gave specific pricing which was very competitve with other quotes I received. He also responded quickly to other questions I had over email. The crew arrived right on time, and ensured we were happy with the layout prior to starting work. After hanging a fixture showed that the fixture (not supplied by Alex) was defective, he didn't charge for the installation work, even though the defect had nothing to do with him. Very nice. We are more than happy with the pots and the installation.

After receiving quotes from Maximum, as well as 4 other contractors (all reviewed on homestars), Maximum's combination of a competitive quote, quick responses to all questions, and overall confidence level, was the easy choice. The job was for wood fencing in a townhouse complex, for myself and four neighbours. Paul provided excellent customer service and dealt with each owner for contracts and payments individually. The fence & gates looks great, and was completed as requested.
