We were having a great deal of difficulty keeping our home comfortable during the warmest days of summer due to our ancient single pane bay window that faces west (afternoon sun). The solution was a new triple pane window from The Window Experts. These guys really know what they're doing. The work was done quickly... and it was done right. They replaced our old wooden back door as well. If you need new windows and/or doors, you should give this company a call. You won't be disappointed!

We had some problems with our aluminum soffit (ultimately traced back to fascia issues) right in the middle of Christmas week (December 28th). Petar from Mallion Aluminum picked up our message from Homestars less than 30 minutes after I posted it (December 29th)... came to our house to inspect the damage and determine the best course of action (January 2nd)... supplied us with a written quote (same day) and was back on January 5th (a Saturday) with all needed materials to complete the repair. A warning - if you are looking for a makeshift solution, don't bother calling Petar. On the other hand - if you want your home repaired properly... and permanently, Petar is your man. He and his team fully explained every step taken, communicated thoroughly and effectively, got the work done fast, stuck to their quoted price... and left our place looking spotless. Mallion is our company for eavestrough, fascia and soffit work from now on. Give them a try... you will not be disappointed.

During a previous dryer repair (made by another supplier), the tech had mentioned that the permanent kink in our semi rigid aluminum dryer vent would likely cause dryer performance problems (or failure) in the future. He recommended Dryer Vent Wizard as a potential source of a remedy. The vent in question ran up the outside wall between the foundation blocks and a wood panel wall on the inside. I can clearly remember replacing an old plastic vent with the aluminum one roughly 20 years ago... and how I had nearly no skin left on my hands by the time I was done. It was a very awkward tight fitting situation. In other words... I was not anxious to tackle this job again. I called Tyler (at Dryer Vent Wizard) on April 22nd and he got right back to me with an appointment arrangement on the 25th. Tyler's son, Leighton, was actually the tech assigned to our job... and he was an absolute delight. He arrived at our house 30 minutes prior to the appointment time (after calling first to insure that this would be OK). Personable, clean, funny, knowledgeable and hard working... Leighton recommended a total replacement of our existing vent in order to meet current code... as well as a brand new anti-pest solution on the outside wall. We quickly agreed and he went to work. Less than 2 hours later, we had a brand new, code friendly dryer vent solution and we simply couldn't be more satisfied. I highly recommend this supplier for anyone who is having issues with a dryer vent.

It's actually amazing how much you miss it when your dryer just stops working... especially when it's still below zero outside. When this happened to us right in the middle of the Easter weekend, I wasn't too hopeful that I'd be able to get anyone to come and fix it any time soon. Fortunately, Peter from Modern Appliance returned my message early on the Monday morning and was at my house by 3:00 PM that same day. Peter was friendly, tidy, efficient.. and most importantly he really knew what he was doing. The repair was made quickly... we were back up and running within 30 minutes of his arrival at the house. It's important for homeowners to know a good major appliance repair service... and as of Easter Monday 2016, Peter is our guy. Highly recommended!

Approximately 1 week ago, the ceiling fan in our bathroom quit. Based on a previous positive experience with Captain Electric, I requested their help again. The electrician (Dave) who came to the house was extremely professional, polite and customer centric. He removed the (very) old fan and sourced a same-size replacement for it within 2 days. Dave also took the time to provide advice on a kitchen renovation that we're contemplating. I would heartily recommend this company to anyone.

If you are moving personal items and furniture that you care very much about, I would highly recommend these guys. They wrapped every piece of furniture and placed smaller breakable items securelt into lined boxes. They also put floor coverings down so as not to make a mess of the premises. The two young men were both big and strong, but also polite and very respectful. I would wholeheartedly recommend Tender Touch to others.
