I own an older townhouse that was in dire need of a new roof and the original roof had no insulation or venting. I had several companies come and give estimates. Some were very low, and some extremely high. Great West came in around the amount I expected for the work needed. I knew that the roof was going to need new decking, raising a couple of inches to provide venting, soffits for the air venting and insulation that was never there from the start. A couple of companies refused the job because they were afraid of the close proximity to my neighbors roofs and the effect of the work on their roofs.
Great West did an excellent job and even provided a temporary repair to one neighbors roof because of the horrible condition of their roof.
The job was done on time, efficiently, on budget and there were no problems or delays. They cleaned up afterward and provided me with all the proper documentation to protect my warranty and the quoted work at the quoted price.

Golden West completed their work on time and on budget with no surprises. I started my projects at the end of last July by soliciting estimates from several contractors. Golden West responded immediately to my requests. I chose Golden West because their estimates gave me most value: high quality shingles at an affordable price complete with new drip edges, metal valleys, turbine vents and warranty. They completed their work early last August promptly, neatly, professionally and answered all my questions courteously.

A newly purchased home needed a new roof. Golden West was contacted because I had previously served on a condo board seeking new roofing for a 32 unit condominium and was impressed by Golden West's quotation and presentation. The salesman was responsive and informative re materials,options etc. and the agreed upon price was what I paid at job completion ,even though weather issues (strong winds) complicated work completion. Company staff were responsive to calls throughout the process, the roofers were friendly, efficient and accommodating re other tradesmen at the site, and an inspection at the end reassured solid workmanship in compliance with our contract. The roof looks beautiful!

Purchased a house with an older roof on it. Nothing was wrong with the roof beforehand, more of a preventative maintenance move. Called a few companies for a quote - Went with Cory for his no-nonsense no over-selling price quote, price quoted was price paid. Team that came out was very professional and detailed with their work, clean up was done well - like they weren't even there. Cory came by to do the roof inspection with me to confirm all was good, which was nice to have. Roof looks spectacular. With their warranty and detailed work, I feel confident I made the right choice. Will gladly refer them to friends and family who are in need of a new roof in Edmonton.

Cory and his team at Golden West went above and beyond to complete our project on time. The price quoted was price paid.
The installation team were professional, would let us know what the scope of the work for the following day was and always cleaned up prior to leaving.
Once the project was completed, prior to paying, Cory and Raymond came by to do a final inspection, looking for any possible deficiencies (there weren't any).
Very happy with service and product and have and would certainly continue to recommend this Company to others.

Golden West was professional, answered all my questions and returned to fix a small issue with a vent. I am very pleased with my experience and would recommend them to anyone looking for new shingles.

Golden West was quite responsive and prompt in quoting me the job for a new roof. Their price was fairly competitive, but I went with them based on other reviews. There was a mix-up with the shingles and half of the house was shingled with the wrong shingles. Golden West took complete ownership of the mix-up. They offered to rip all of the shingles off or to give me a discount to proceed. I was impressed by the way they handled it as there was opportunity for a dispute.
They kept a close eye on the contractor that they hired to do the work, which was needed since they had some of the venting a little buggered up. It was not finished when they said it would be, but this was not critical (it took 4 or 5 days when they said it would take 2). The shingle mix-up partially contributed to this and the contractors were form Montreal and the Habs were in the playoffs, so that also didn't help.
They left the place clean and Golden West encouraged the contractor to keep it clean as they worked (which was needed).

I needed our roof done fast and they had it all completed in 3days! All the workers were professional and did an incredible job!!! They gave me plenty of options and helped me pick just the right one, can't believe how much I love it!!! I would highly recommend them to everyone!
