Golden West was quite responsive and prompt in quoting me the job for a new roof. Their price was fairly competitive, but I went with them based on other reviews. There was a mix-up with the shingles and half of the house was shingled with the wrong shingles. Golden West took complete ownership of the mix-up. They offered to rip all of the shingles off or to give me a discount to proceed. I was impressed by the way they handled it as there was opportunity for a dispute. They kept a close eye on the contractor that they hired to do the work, which was needed since they had some of the venting a little buggered up. It was not finished when they said it would be, but this was not critical (it took 4 or 5 days when they said it would take 2). The shingle mix-up partially contributed to this and the contractors were form Montreal and the Habs were in the playoffs, so that also didn't help. They left the place clean and Golden West encouraged the contractor to keep it clean as they worked (which was needed).
