Plumbing Now

Basement toilet clogged. Gray water coming back in the basement shower. Called Denis, great conversation over the phone, straight up about service call and prices. Plumber came over next day bright and early morning, on time, to fix it. Turns out the float from the pump does not work anymore. Job was completed within 1h.

Mark from Plumbing Now arrived on time, he decided to replace the old pipes in both the kitchen and bathroom, hooked my my new sinks and taps with little of any problems. His work was excellent and he cleaned up once he was finished

Stay away from the Ottawa company known as Plumbing Now AKA Butler plumbing unless you have deep pockets and don't care how you spend your hard earned cash. Their work could be satisfactory but they are in my opinion "Opportunistic Parts Changers " In my case they insisted on doing work that was not necessary by replacing everything leading to the part that needed replacing. The plumber they sent to my house was supposed to do a preliminary assessment and provide me with an estimate. The estimate, for what I considered to be at best a $1200.00 job was quoted at $2660.00 ....excluding tax. I told the plumber that it was outrages and to leave my premises. He presented me with a bill for $314.14 for some 30 minutes onsite......I asked about the $79 dollars that their despatcher had indicated would be charged for the assessment and was informed that those charges were strictly for driving to my house and that I would have to pay $200 more for the time he spent at my house at the rate of $200 per hour or any part of......stating that he took a two week course on well pumps and was considered a specialist therefore justifying the $200 per hour......After he left, I called C&N Plumbing and Electrical in Manotick and had the job completed expertly in less than two hours for $1050.00... including tax......That is a difference of $2000.00?

So don't get ripped off stay away from this company at all costs.

We had a leak under our kitchen sink. The technician came and replace a one lever kitchen faucet (we supplied) installed 2 shut-off water valves under kitchen sink, removed waste disposal unit and installed an elbow with sink basket. Completed work in total of 3hrs including going to hardware store to get an elbow and drain basket. There rates are 4 times what an ordinary plumber will cost you! Never use this company. Phoned a few other companys who charge $75 per our plus parts. Lesson learned!

I have called Plumbing Now a few times in the past 5 years and they have been there within a day. I find that they are very professional and the service person also makes sure you understand how to take care of the sump pump that he installed for us. I highly recommend this company and they back up their products & service. We had a problem with the sump pump emitting sewer odors and it was almost a year later after installation and they came and took care of the problem without charge. Now THAT is service!

The company was called to unclog a kitchen drain. For showing up to assess the problem, the up front charge was about $90 (during regular business hours). We were then provided with an outgageously high fixed price for the actual work. We accepted only because we were facing the possibility of incurring another service call charge if we started over with someone else from the yellow pages. The work took well under an hour, and it was done correctly without recurrence. As far as we were concerned, this was sneaky price gouging. Because of that, we will never use this company again.

diagnosed some venting and sewer fumes were entering basement and he knew how to fix the pipes, venting and corrected some inappropriate angles for the pipes so water flowed safely. He even saved me money as he quoted me over $400 but then reduced it to 350 because i didn't need to use the pipes he quoted.
