Brick The

Hi - I purchased a new refrigerator from the Brick in scarborough. The one sales person who helped me was not knowledgeable at all - he had no clue, on the features associated with the appliance I was interested in.

I purchased a sectional from the Home Show (then a Brick company and now The Brick in name also). I had issues with the sofa from day one. There was a manufacturer defect in one of the cushions and it took two years to get it replaced. I now have a problem with springs in the sofa and although the warranty is still active and The Brick has told me that they will deal with items purchased when the store was called the Home Show I am finding it impossible to get a response from them. Customer Service is definately not their strong point. Considering the amount spend on the sofa I would expect more from such a big company. I won't be shopping there ever again.

We found that when we moved into our new home we needed to furnish almost our entire home. Going to the Brick Clearance Centre on Kennedy Road in Scarborough several times over about a month, we were able to find all the furniture we needed. Some was new and on sale, but other pieces were returns or very slightly damaged. We saved thousands of dollars furnishing our home this way.

We bought a couch, love seat and ottoman from the Brick last year. It was a fairly simple purchasing process, we found the set we liked and flagged down a salesperson. We asked the price, he told us the sticker price, we asked for something better and he talked to his manager and came back with a 7% markdown.

We arranged for delivery and when the delivery people showed up they told us it wouldn't fit through the front door of our house. We suggested they take it out of the box, they said it wasn't their job and they were already late for their next appointment so they gave us two options:

1. They could leave the couches on the lawn
2. They could reschedule but the closest date they had was in six weeks

We told them to leave it on the lawn.

I called my brother-in-law over and we took them out of the boxes and moved them into our house. The next day I went to The Brick and complained. They refunded our delivery charge but I expected something much better than that.

A few years ago when we first got married, my wife and I were looking for some new furniture and decided to go with a Living Room set that was something we felt comfortable in and within our price range at The Brick.

The Sales Rep that we dealt with was very helpful and helped us get a good deal. The delivery of the furniture went well and we have no major complaints.

We will most likely find ourselves back at The Brick when we begin looking for a Dining Room Set.

I bought a mattress from The Brick that was inferior in quality. I contacted the store and they were not very helpful. The customer service quality was more than poor.

3 pc Sofa set, 2 area rugs, counterheight dinner table + 6 chairs, platform bed frame, leather sectional sofa, and more! All stylish, modern and best of all...on sale! The sales team at this store is very knowledgable regarding their products and did not pressure you to buy...in fact, they were trying to save more money by trying to bundle everything together and asking the manager for better prices due to our big volume purchase. Shipping was prompt and on time, get compliments on our furniture all the time...cant really ask for more than that.

We would definately go back to The Brick. Also we would recommend it to our friends and family. It was great service, staff was very friendly. They offered suggestions and ideas match prices with other furniture companies

I went to buy products such as sofa's electronics and beds. Everytime we went the service wsa excellent and the price was above average. The quality was above average as well.

Had several problems with The Brick. Bought a brand new bedroom set, first - they delivered it 2 months late and it was used. There were several dents and markings. Customer service was a joke. They were not helpful or responsible. They said they "understood" but didn't do much to solve the problem. After our 5th or 6th round of issues re attempted to exchange it for store credit but they refused. We will never buy from The Brick again.
