Furnace, Air Conditioner and Tankless Water Heater

AirPlus installed a new furnace, Air Conditioner and Tankless Water Heater in our home, they asked us to post a review and we are glad to comply. I saw some great reviews here and in other places, and some not so great so we weren't sure at first that we wanted to choose AirPlus, but after we met Catherine and Kwame during the inspections at our house we knew we had made the best decision. We spent over $10k on new equipment and we wanted to make sure we were getting good value for our money. First, Catherine came to our house to discuss our options. She is very nice, and spent alot of time with us selecting the right furnace and ac for our home, giving us good advice on rebates and cost savings. There were salesmen from other companies that were very pushy and and rude, but Catherine gave us great information and let us make our decision on our own time.

When it came to scheduling and completing the work, Kwame and his team were very good at letting us know just how long it would take to complete the work ( 1 and 1/2 days) so that we could plan our activities considering we weren't going to have hot water while the work was being done! The team was clean, and polite. They did their work and didn't bother us while we were home. The quality of the work was really good, and our furnace room and area outside in our alleyway was cleaned and swept. The crew left the manuals and start-up checklist for us.
The systems worked as promised, we had cool air, and hot water when we needed it.

One week later, Catherine stopped by to inspect the work, and drop off paperwork for our OPA rebates and the Warranties and AirPlus guarantee. I really appreciated the follow up, especially considering that she came in the evening to fit our schedule as we both work during the day.

Over all I was really impressed with how the whole process went with AirPlus and am glad to give them a positive recommendation.

New Air Conditioner

AirPlus replaced my Air Conditioner. I was vey happy with the installers Quame and Mark. Catherine at the office gave us the best price, we had 2 other estimates and AirPlus was the lowest. One week after the new air conditioner was installed Catherine came to our house to inspect and review and to give us our rebate paperwork and AirPlus guarantee. My husband and I were really very happy with AirPlus.

Air Plus Cares about its Customers

Airplus was willing to work with us, listen to our concerns, and help us to get our furnace working again. We had a difficult time at first - our furnace not staying on and spent most of last winter having to keep restarting the furnace to keep it going and keep heat in the house. The technician came out multiple times, replaced the circuit board and tried other things he could think of. He was courteous and professional. At first we were charged for the multiple visits because they looked like different service calls over several months, even though it was the same issue. But when we talked to the customer service representative, Cathrine, we were able to come to an understanding. Our furnace is now working and we will happily deal with Airplus again for our heating and cooling needs.

Dear Client -
I am sorry and disappointed that your experience with your AMANA furnace has been so upsetting. We strive to provide the best equipment, installation and service to our clients, so when a client endures an experience with faulty equipment we are sympathetic and work hard for a solution.

We have worked hard on your behalf to get your furnace fixed. Unfortunately, your furnace contained Manufacturers defects that caused an early failure.

When you purchased your equipment from AirPlus it included a 12 month Performance Guarantee. It also included a manufacturers warranty for Parts - 10 Years for Parts and a Lifetime Warranty on the Heat Exchanger. The manufacturers defect in your furnace unfortunately occurred AFTER THE EXPIRY of your 12 month Performance Guarantee. As a result we had no choice but to ask you to pay for the labour for the repair of your furnace.

Labour is not included in a manufacturers warranty - this was clearly stated on your Installation Agreement. According to our records you were offered a 10 year Extended Warranty for Labour but did not purchase. A manufacturers warranty - in your case AMANA - is valid for the full 10 years at the discretion of manufacturer, and can be administered by any Amana dealer.

You were not asked to pay for parts - you were asked to pay for the labour to install the parts. An independent dealer in the HVAC industry is NOT compensated in any way by the manufacturers parts warranty. We process and administer the parts exchange for you, at NO COST, however we do charge for labour to cover our Technician, truck, tool, insurance and fuel costs.

Our charges are reasonable and the charging of labour for In-Parts Warranty repair is legitimate and consistent with industry practice.

I am sorry that your furnace was once of the very few that incurred manufacturers deficiencies. We attempted on a number of occasions to repair your furnace, while our technician was in direct contact with the Manufacturers technical support team, and followed a process for diagnostics as directed by the Manufacturers representative.

We are still invested in helping you to resolve the problems with your furnace, and would be delighted to assist you. If you wish to have your furnace repair by another AMANA dealer, we can recommend several dealer/contractors for you to contact. Please be assured that your Manufacturers PARTS WARRANTY is still valid until it expires 10 years from the installation date.

Furnace installation and a repair

Noisy motor on a brand new Trane furnace was replaced the next day by the same technician that installed it.
This company does great work and terrific follow up...
Extremely professional staff.
They go out of their way to follow up on all inquiries and stay with it until solved.
Highly unusual for the city TORONTO.
Very lucky to have found Airplus.

replace furnace

Required removing old furnace and piping and replacing with new furnace and to-code piping. All old equipment was removed and taken away as well.

Furnace Yearly Maintenance

We have been using AirPlus for our furnace and air conditiong maintenance for the last three years. They are always timely. In fact the last technician arrived a little over an hour early. He was courteous, performed the expected maintenance, and made a point to make sure any questions or concerns I had were answered.

ameristar furnace install

the technicians installed the new furnace but didn't properly connect the thermostat. and they didn't test the thermostat that's why one one them had to come back and fix the connection.

Gasline, furnace, ductwork

Heating service

The Service Technician arrived within the appointed time, and he was very professional.
My only concern was there was a sensor that was cleaned annually by previous technician, and it was not done. I enquired why it was not done, and his reply to me was that it looks clean.
The furnace is operating ok . Therefore, there may be no need to be overly concerned.
