Communication was easy and clear, we had a tight timeline and they were able to do the work within it (actually expanded scope to include front of house as well and they were still able to get it done with a quick turnaround.) I picked budget options all around but end product looks stellar. Very happy with the service and result, will definitely use them again. Thank you Lake!

I should have read my (9 star) review from 8 years ago that stated that we chose to add Themal to our Buyer Home Inspection which really increased the cost but I didn't really feel value added for that. Because we did it again, and again didn't get the value added. There was obvious water damage, which was discussed and detailed in the report, but the thermal didn't add any further insight. (I would again say to not get that add on, hopefully I will remember next time.) The general inspection was fabulous this second time and we are very happy with the detail and time spent. We have since been told by contractors that there is wrapping around heating vents which likely contains asbestos, which can be easily seen from the open basement. Am surprised that the inspector didn't catch this, or at least mention it (I think he verbally flagged the popcorn ceiling as a possibility.) Even with that, it is such a valuable service and done so well, I would continue to recommend them. And, as we prep to sell we will be contacting them for a pre-sale inspection as well.

Huge thank you to George and his team (Brandon and Moose) for an incredible move. Arrived on time, were so helpful, super fast, took great care with all the items, did some dismantling and reassembly as needed, clear communication, and all around kindnesses, professionalism, just a joy to work with. Getting an estimate and booking with Ninja was a bit annoying, but using the online system to detail the furniture to be moved did mean that no one had to come in person ahead of time. I was worried that I had missed something with the system but the estimate was accurate. We will be using this company again for future Toronto moves. (And will ask if we can have George again!)

Contacted company through instagram after attempting to repair cement backporch on our own. Was able to do the flat areas but too lazy to figure out rebuilding the broken step corners. Decided to have repair done and porch recovered - was more expensive than had wanted to pay for the project, however dealing with CWE was a great experience and the work was beautiful. They missed a section on the far side of the fence, noticed it at the end of the day and messaged me to say they would return the following day to do it. All communication was fast and clear. The team was clean and the porch looks great now. Highly recommend Jeremy, Frank, and their teams.

About 6 years ago we had Falstaff come and redo the electrical in our 1919 home - I reviewed them at the time saying how fast and well done the job had been. Wanted to follow up on that to say we have continued to use this company for electrical projects and they are always AMAZING to work with. We have recommended them to neighbours who loved their work, used them for a large project at a commercial property and continue to contact them for projects at our house. Multiple times they have provided suggestions (sensor switch instead of moving a switch, etc) that have greatly increased the functionality of the space. Most recently them switch out our bathroom fan, move and add outlets, rewire internet cables, and adjust wiring for a TV installation.

The offer on our house was conditional on inspection. Our realtor, and a number of our friends, recommended this company. Such an important step when buying a home in Toronto. Our inspection provided an incredible amount of information, easy to understand, very detail focused. We have used the document to help plan renovations and get quotes. It has proven accurate time and time again as we work to renovate our home. Falstaff was recommended by a colleague, the website and quote process was very professionally handled and I worried that such a high-end company would be above our budget. We asked for a main quote for replacement of all the knob and tube in our 1917 home, and quotes for extra work we were considering (wired smoke detectors, extra outlets, upgrading the panel, etc.) The final quote was affordable and the services were well explained. We ended up getting so much done and are really happy with it all. The team works very quickly, it was a matter of days and the majority of it was done. They ended up having to wait for us to finish things for them to come back and complete. The company was great at staying in contact, answering our questions, and being flexible with requests. I would happily recommend them for any homeowner.

After getting the company name from a co-worker, we included Laird & Son as one of the 4 HVAC companies to give us a quote on a new furnace. This was the only company to offer (affordable) suggestions as to ways we could improve our heating and basement renovation. They offered to move the furnace slightly, at a minimal cost, to allow for more space for laundry. When we later increased the scope of work to include moving all the duct work the cost increase was very reasonable. Installation Manager, Ross, was great at keeping us in the loop and communicating via email (which we had stated we prefer). The duct work was really really well done - so happy with it (sad to be covering it up in a bulkhead). We were also very thankful to the team (including Dave) who were doing the installation that they stayed late to ensure our heat got on when we requested. It was a great experience working with this company - we will be looking into a future service agreement with them as well.

We recently purchased our first home and are in the process of going through a huge number of repairs - getting our Eaves replaced has been the easiest thing so far! Laura explained everything perfectly. The quote and install were both arranged in ways that fit our schedule. We are very happy with the price and product. (Improves the look of our house 100 fold!)
