I have been a customer for 20 years and can't say enough about this company. They have bailed me out of several emergencies over the years. They are understanding, smart, innovative, reasonable and great to deal with. You can see why I keep their cards stashed away in a variety of handy spots.
Why do I keep getting Men in Kilts back every year? They do an excellent job; they're efficient and friendly and the one year I had a problem they were back in a jiffy to fix it even though it had nothing to do with their work.
Had this company come years ago and was so impressed that I saved their card in a safe place. When part of the steel frame on my old garage door broke called them. Neil came - immediately. Cautioned me not to use the garage since the rest of the frame looked dubious. They were able to get a door...at this time of limited supply... and came today and installed it. This is such a great company. Highly recommend their good service their good work and their excellent employees.
April 27, 2020 Jeff P cleaned out the gutters on my 1104 sq ft house and my detached garage. I paid $392.70. A month later the water was not draining in a metre section of the front gutter. Jeff came back and told me the gutter needed to be resloped. I was desperate so agreed to pay $399. He adjusted the slope with new hangers. The bill I got was $523.95 - $100 more than our verbal agreement. I contacted the office and after several interactions back and forth....with the terrific office manager Laura....got a revised bill for $418.95. $811.65 - a big price for about an hour's work in total but at least less than the original $916.75!!!
We are sorry for the mix-up about the bill. The technician made a keying error when using his phone to create the invoice. Glad we got it sorted out in the end.

My overloaded gutters are cleaned out and my windows are sparkling. So pleased with the job Roy and Miguel did. They worked diligently - not just getting the job done but making sure it was done carefully and well. Have already booked Men in Kilts for next year.
Resurrected ancient microwave and hooked up dryer.
Louis first hooked up my new dryer. Was most anxious to keep my old built in microwave which seemed a very remote possibility. Louis first figured out the problem; then diligently researched the parts that he thought might resolve that problem. Today he came back with those parts and the microwave is once again working. From beginning to end the service was exceptional. Fixing things in this finite world the way to go.

A good news bad news story. The good news is that I am not currently wading around my basement. These guys got my clogged eavestrough cleaned out in the nick of time. We've had nothing but rain and more rain since they were here. The bad news is that I've had to acknowledge that what I thought was an amazing improvement in my eyesight is actually only my dazzling windows. JoshM and Mac did a super job on the gutters, windows and screens.

Amazingly happy with this job. Discovered that my garage roof was toast and after investigating the roofing possibilities on HomeStars got estimates. Kary, from Mega, came quickly and was very straight forward, informative and reliable. The work estimates I got were identical but Mega's price was $2000 less. When I chose Mega Kary was able to fit me in quickly. James and Zac did the work. They not only very obviously knew what they were doing but were so conscientious and hard working. Pleased that I decided to get my house roofed, along with the garage, and very pleased that I chose Mega.

Can't say enough about how good this company is and will continue to spread that word far and wide. They actually try to save you money! Originally had them come in 2008 to fix a non functioning garage door. They told me to call the company that had installed the door opener since they would have a part and that would be cheaper for me. They didn't charge. When the first company did not have the part but offered to install a new system, declined and called Stampede back to do the job. Today they came again - quickly. They pointed out clearly what I needed to do to keep my door working as well as it has all these years and showed me what I could do myself to save a service call. They always offer to help you over the phone if they can. My highest recommendation!
