I try to edit this review for the third time. First I made the mistake of naming the third party who did the install. 3rd party or not they were sent by Reliance. Then I tried to do it in pictures but the pictures I uploaded I believe were just too big and when they converted to a smaller size you could not read what I said. So I have redone the pictures. The question you need to ask yourself is would you want this install in your home? Furnace room/laundry room or not it still has to be done properly. The whole process was a a case of very bad communications. The 'COMPANY REP” which is what he calls himself (no need to serve a customer) did a very poor job on this. If I had any idea what the final result was going to look like I would have never proceeded with this. I or my neighbors do not much like the 8 inch monstrosity now sticking out of my home. Only after the fact the “COMPANY REP” told me he could of shown me a picture of the result from a picture he had on the his phone. Only after the fact I was told there was another option on the tankless water heating system that would have avoided that monstrosity. I believe it would have also avoided a 12 inch hole blown in my foundation. This 3rd party seemed to have no clue they were in someones home and they should have treated it like their own. The home owner (me) was not kept in the loop during the installation. Everything seemed to be “cut the corners”. After a fantastic window installation, a person who knew that the quality of his work was as important as the quality of the product he was installing. After being here close to 18 hours there was nothing left behind for me to pick up after him. I was kept in the loop through the whole process. That my fellow home owners is the way to get a job done. Do it right the first time every time! Reliance reputation has been badly damaged on this. The 3rd party should be ashamed!

Hi Home Stars, it has been a while since I did a review so it is time to do another one. The last time you made me prove I did business with the company. Remember Mr. Roof Repair? I did and I can prove it again. The people on Home Stars need to understand. You are rating companies 9 and 10. That implies perfection. Nobody is perfect and it is no incentive for companies to do better. I am going to call this my Initial Quality review. You can call me Mr. J D Power. At the end of the day the only time you are going to find out if a company is any good is if you have a warranty issue. I hope I never have any. Where do I begin? Mr Bob Tessier. Salesperson Clera Windows Eastern Onario. Mr Tessier is a very nice man. He was easy to deal with and seemed trustworthy, He gained my confidence and that is not an easy thing to do. I felt comfortable enough to sign the contract without the need to get 3 estimates. Mr Tessier gets a 10 star. Mr Flaro, The installer I never did get his first name by the time he had finished the job I was ready to call him Sir. The man is amazing. Very talented. Very hard working he never stopped for 2 days until he got the job done. I think he did an excellent job. I think he did better than that. I give Mr Flaro 20 stars. 15 for being an excellent installer and 5 bonus Stars for all the tips he gave me around the home and for helping me install a ceiling fan. The windows, I am not a window expert but I saw quality when I saw the sample and now I see quality in my walls. I will give them 9 Stars. Clera Clera you need to understand Eastern Ontario is just as import as the GTA from where I relocated. When a salesperson is told that an 8 to 10 week time frame will not fit the customers needs. The salesperson then gets the contract based on a rush job at 4 to 5 weeks. It is not the salesperson fault or the installer fault if it takes Clera 7 weeks to ship them. That is one star gone. The windows should come out of the factory clean. My windows were a little dirty and had traces of glue on them. I am a bachelor, I do not do windows but I am going to have to do these. That is another star gone. One of my screens was damaged. Mr Flaro was nice enough to take it home and fix it. Clera needs to reimburse Mr. Flaro for that and it is another star gone. Clera 7 stars is a very good rating. I am very happy with my purchase and the look of my new windows. I would have to point out to you Auto Workers ( I used to be one) in you area are building cars at 5% labor. Everybody said we were overpaid. You charge 40 % labour? You are lucky you did not lose all your stars for that because nobody ever got run over by a window. I think I want to join your workers Union. 6 windows 4 identical (3 bedrooms and a dining room double hangers) 1 kitchen double slider and a bathroom window. $4100 all in taxes included. I hope Mr Tessier did not over charge me. He would loose a star for that. :) I am not a very good photographer but I tried to give you some before and afters. Thank you Clera windows Eastern Ontario. Job well done. I am not Brampton anymore I am Cornwall.

I would like to extend my appreciation to Claude for the patients he showed to me through what was to me a very difficult stressful process. The longevity of your roof is very dependent on the condition of your attic. I now own a “SMART” roof and attic. Unfortunately I will not live the 50 years to find out if Certainteed shingles are non-prorated. :) The transferable warranty was very important to me. Thank you. Claude, Darrah, Jerry and all the “SMART” roofing team

I can give you an honest assessment of Mr. Roof Repair. I swear I am telling the truth and I will not charge you $99.00 They recommended BP Shingles. Let us quote the BP literature. BP Certified Roofers . "Provide a free no obligation quote" This company did not live up to its promises. Both on the phone with Mike and on the roof with Peitro I was promised I would be given options. I was only given one option. A full roof replacement. They returned my messages before I paid them but did not after I paid them. Their terms and conditions state that if they do a repair or replace your roof you must place their sign on your lawn for 7 days. They did not do a repair or a replacement I paid for the assessment. They put the sign on the lawn anyway and did not tell me in advance. The assessment was helpful but rather general so I will give them a 5 or so. I can get on a roof and take pictures for you. They forgot to mention in the contract they would do flat roofing to a section of the roof. Sorry guys but but I am getting both the attic and the roof done for a little more than half the price with a better shingle and a better warranty.

Today I celebrate my 4th month anniversary of living in a damaged home. Thursday past I recieved the 5th estimate from First General and they still can not get it right. Example they estimate to reinsulate my attic at R38. Now homeowners need to be aware that most contractors and all insurance companies think home owners are stupid. R38? Minimum Ontario building code is R40. I was R60. It goes on and on. I am sure there is good and bad in any company. If you were unfortunate like I was to have sustained damage this past winter I hope your insurance company did not send you First General. A bunch of inexperienced rank amateurs pretending to be project managers. Emergency response took 26 hours and basically did nothing I have been living in a damaged home for 4 months now and I still can't get the proper estimate from First General. They left me with more damage than I had when then came. They have turned what was a bad dream into a nightmare. There are not enough zeros on this site to rate the Flint Road location of First General.
