Technician that came out to diagnose problem was hostile and did not have the proper tools to diagnose issue. My property manager mistakenly called this company that is in essence a marketing company which subs out jobs to any local technician they can find. Stay away.

I have a property management company in Oshawa and Bill services all of our properties. Bill does great work, is personable, offers a wide range of plumbing services, is punctual, professional and all at a reasonable price. Jobs that Bill has done for us in the past include faucet replacement, leak repairs, unclogging sinks and toilets, sink replacement, heating system repairs, etc... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Bill for your plumbing needs large or small.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY ... Their quality, warranties and integrity are virtually non-existent. I hired Newlife Roofing approx. 3.5 years ago for a flat roof in Oshawa. There was definitely a language barrier but we managed to figure things out. Their price was the most competitive, but as the old adage goes "you get what you pay for". The work was completed and I was given a written 12 year warranty. PROBLEM #1: After they did the first roof, I asked them to quote on another property I owned. I received the quote and paid the deposit. On the day work was to start, they showed up with their crews and materials and try to extort me for more money than agreed. There weren't any surprises or additional work that needed to be done, they just wanted more money or they were going to pack up their things and leave. I said no and they packed up and left the site. I had another more reputable company come and do the job. PROBLEM #2: 3.5 years after the original roof was done we experienced a leak. I called Jennifer, she picked up, I explained the situation to her and she said someone would call back. Once she realized I was calling for warranty work she failed to answer or return any more calls. I had another roofer come out to the repair. He said it was a result of the poor worksmanship and materials used the roofer. OVERALL Quality = VERY POOR Service = VERY POOR Communication = VERY POOR Integrity = VERY POOR This is not a company you want to trust with something as important as your roof. Lesson learned on my part.

I recently had all the windows and several patio doors replaced on a 12 unit apartment building in Kitchener. I did extensive research before contracting Total Home and Windows to do the work. Their reviews on Home Stars is why I initially contacted them. They were prompt, professional, provided a written quote and were very competitive on price. They completed the work on schedule as promised. My property manager that was on site was ecstatic about their work (and she is very hard to impress). I went by and saw the final product and was very happy with the product and work. I would definitely recommend this company going forward and will be using their services again in the future for other apartment buildings in my portfolio.

Very refreshing to see a trade take a professional approach to their business. Nick (Koleros) came out to quote a window replacement job at one of my properties (small apartment building). We agreed to terms and his team came and did the job on schedule and delivered a quality product. We had a minor issue but Nick addressed our concerns in a prompt and professional manner. My experience with Nick and the Apex team was a very positive one. As such, I would wholeheartedly recommend their services and will definitely use them again in the future.

We purchased a newly built home, and with that comes dust. CanaDuct took care of that. They worked wonders in removing the dust and debris left in the duct work and also attended to my heating/cooling equipment. Paul was so helpful in suggesting a better filter to reduce allergen throughout my home to help my son who suffers from allergies.. Great company.

After reading the 2 previous comments on A & C roofing, I now understand that ignoring warranty calls on defective workmanship is their modus operandi. I purchased an apartment building (12-plex) in Oshawa approx. 2 years ago. The building came with a 10 year (fully transferable) warranty on a roof that was completely re-done in 2007. There happened to be a leak in the roof which made its way to a unit on the top floor. I had my superintendent call A & C and ask them to come out and take a look at the problem. Well, my superintendent called, and visited their offices on at least a dozen occasions. At first they said they bought the business recently and that the fellow that did the original work was out east now and it wouldn't be fair for them to have to do the repair work and honor the warranty. Its a ridiculous argument (which I don't believe to begin with) but if you purchase a company, you purchase the goodwill, assets and liabilities. They then said they would come and take a look. They eventually did come and said they would send someone out soon to do the repair. After another half a dozen calls were ignored I decided to contact another reputable roofer. He confirmed what I suspected, that the original work done to the roof was of poor quality which caused the leak. The bottom line ... avoid these hacks at all costs. Poor workmanship to being with and they definitely do not stand behind their product and honor their warranty.
