We selected Andrea and Fine Finishes after interviewing 12 designers to help us with our major condo renovation. We selected her because she was really curious and interested in what we wanted and liked, and because she was able to provide both design and renovation services. We are thrilled with our choice, and have since recommended Andrea to friends and family, who are equally as satisfied. We have redone literally every part of our condo, with Andrea acting as designer, general contractor, and project manager. We love everything and very much appreciate how Andrea has often guided us towards a more cost effective, comfortable, or practical design or approach than we might have picked on our own. We also love the trades Andrea works with--they are all talented and lovely humans who treat our home with respect, and take good care of our old, renovation-stressed pooch. Large-scale renovations are never trouble-free, and what I like most about Andrea and the Fine Finishes team is that they work together to quickly address any problems that might arise. I would give them my highest recommendation.

I love my new outdoor stair railing. I didn't want to spend much money on this as it was for insurance purposes. Tarek and his team were respectful of my needs for this (very) small job, and really exceeded expectations. The railing is so much prettier than I expected for such a fair price. I was also pleasantly surprised that Tarek worked outdoors in the winter. He even helped shovel my back yard so his team could get access to the work area! Tarek came highly recommended to me from a contractor I trust, and I, in turn, recommend Smith Metal Works to others.

Moni provided fantastic service and did a great job re-keying our locks for a reasonable price. He also gave us options and was very honest about the least expensive ways of getting the job done. I would highly recommend his work!

We found Rick and Anne on homestars and what a find! Their work is super-high quality, their follow-up is prompt and professional, and we felt the cost was great value for work well done. We felt very comfortable leaving them alone in our home and they were also great with our dog (and visiting friend). We already have their next project planned out. I would not hesitate to recommend them to others (but hope they will still have time for us!). We look forward to continuing to work with them!

John listened to what we were looking for and designed a beautiful window seat for us! For a reasonable cost, he also brought in an electrician to install lighting for us and a fastastic painter to make the window seat look perfect. We're thrilled with the result. In addition to his awesome carpentry skills, he's also a terrific guy, and immediately earned our trust. I would recommend him to anyone interested in beautifully done, creative carpentry work.

We hired Loumerico to refinish a bathtub. It starting peeling within two months. After multiple calls, they came to fix it, but it started peeling again within months. The second time I called, they did not return my calls or emails and I could only assume they had no intention of honouring their supposed four year guarantee. As the tub was unuseable, we hired another company to refinish the tub. We were informed that Loumerico had not primed the tub properly and this was the source of the problem.I would strongly recommend using another contractor if you need a tub refinished.
