We had already painted our main level, everything except the family room. The walls are ~30 ft high in that room. Daunting. We thought scaffolding would be needed. Other painters didn't want to come solely to paint one small room. Frank came and did the job for us for a great price. We are very happy with it and we would definitely hire him again. Back in 2013 I wrote a review for Peaks Roofing. Well, we missed our old Peaks roof so badly, we just had to have another one! In 2015 we moved and lucky us, the new house needed new shingles. We obtained quotes from various companies but in the end, we trusted Peaks once again. The best endorsement is a repeat customer. This review may be delayed but we stand by our rating from 2013.

We were looking for blinds for a hard-to-reach area. We took a chance dealing with an unfamiliar online company. Each Budget Blinds is independently owned. We dealt with Budget Blinds Serving Port Perry. From our first contact with Joe & Cathy, we felt like we were in good hands. Joe did an in-home consultation and provided numerous options, samples and photos of his work. Our windows are 15 feet up and we needed motorized blinds with a solar battery back-up. We had previously obtained estimates and Budget’s prices were very competitive. Joe took measurements and gave us an estimated arrival time. The blinds arrived and were installed sooner than expected. Adrian & Simon did a great job with the installation. Blinds look great and they function beautifully. The motorization and solar battery back-up (see picture: barely noticeable in right corner of window) work perfectly. Price was exactly as quoted. We highly recommend Budget Blinds- Blackstock. We have high expectations and our experience could not have better.

I did my research to find the best movers for our home. It was really important to have reliable and trustworthy people to count on. Moving is very stressful and we wanted relief, not added stress, from a moving company. Augusta Movers were professional, courtesy and hard-working. Moving day was extremely humid, the new house key arrived very late in the day. Our moving team remained pleasant, polite and never once complained. We had some very fragile, large, irreplacable pieces of furniture. I was nervous about moving them. Justin personally made certain they arrived here safely. We had to change our moving time on short notice and it was handled well by Dinko, the company owner. We sent several emails leading up to the move, asked a lot of questions. Every single email was answered immediately, personally by the owner. We are not easily impressed but we were impressed by Augusta Movers. The 2 day process of 'packing & wrapping' and then moving the second day, was the way to go. If we ever move again...let's hope never haha...we would without a doubt call this company again. Scott Beetham was recommended to us. We are naturally cautious of hiring anyone to work on our home. We had a few quotes but we trusted this company. We do our homework and ask a lot of questions. We want to ensure the company is trustworthy to do the job how they say, when they say and do it well. Beetham Electric arrived right on time. They sent 2 workers, Luke and John, who worked hard the entire day. They were respectful, courteous and most importantly, they did an excellent job. There was a large amount of snow forecasted and the guys showed up days earlier to dig the hole for the ground plate outside. The day of the job was snowy and freezing but they were pleasant and had no complaints. They removed our dated fuse box and installed a breaker panel and junction box. Scott Beetham also came by during the day and was accessible if we had any questions. They labelled the breakers and reviewed it with us before leaving. We were very impressed by Beetham Electric and would recommend them highly without hesitation. Thanks to Scott, John and Luke.

We booked them too late in the season in 2013 but once temps warmed up this season we contacted them. We were done right away, they came on time and for last year's quoted price.

KJW Painting is owned by Kevin and we found him online. He is starting a new business and after discussions with him, we decided to hire him to paint the interior of our house. We were preparing it for listing and it was important the job be done properly. Kevin came on time each day, worked very hard and did an excellent job painting our rooms. He made sure we were pleased with his work before he accepted any payment. We have a lot of trim work and crown moulding so it was not an easy job. We are very happy with the results and he stuck by his quote. His price was extremely reasonable and it would be hard to beat it. We would recommend that you call him for a quote.

Peaks Roofing was recommended to us and we would highly recommend them to anyone. The job was done exactly as promised, ahead of schedule. They came early both days and completely cleaned up at the end of both days. Everything is in writing ahead of time, complete quote and warranty clearly laid out. The company owner is the man you deal with and he is also on site. Excellent work ethic, top notch customer service, excellent job and extremely competitive price.

We looked for quality and value. These were the hardest working guys and they did an excellent job. The bonus of it is that you are supporting college students. They work extra hard because they are aiming for excellence. The company offers bonuses to the students who have great reviews. They were eager and worked very hard during a week of scorching summer heat. I was very impressed. They offer free estimates for painting and they also clean windows. I highly recommend them to hire or even to work for if you are a student. The paint was the exact colour we hoped for and they even took the time to paint intricate moulding on the front door for no extra charge.
