Cam-cor Heating ---Known Murv the owner for a few years. installed heating in a new home 3100 sq foot home. Work was done throughly and Murv always takes care to tell me if something is amiss or needs attention. For instance Murv was installing conduit and said that he needed me to insulate in this one area before he installed the ducts otherwise that area would be cold. Most contractors would just install the duct work, Murv wants you to be warm so he told me to insulate that area. That tells you Murv cares about his work,

Mike from Andiamo Electric is the guy you want to talk, very pleasant, will meet with you to show you their work on new homes. Gave a great quote on a 3100 sq foot home including basement. Had them put in the electrical panel when I needed framing and they came promptly to do it on short notice. Same with doing the outside wiring for the external lights. Once again came on time. Did not leave a mess and did all the wiring for the outside before the Hardiboard was installed. Great to work with.

Had Lenbeth do the weeping tile and sump as well as do the building wrap around the new home. System Platon was done for the building wrap, Work was done on time, and every worker I met on site was friendly and pleasant. When I asked for them to call before on site, they did and when asked when they were done, they also called back. They just put in the window wells and will come back to adjust them for final grade. Was worried about the spring thaw that will happen soon.

Had Ironhorse do the plumbing for 3100 sq foot home. Work was done on time, and correctly and he gave advice on garage drain, as well he had to fix a few things that were not on the plan. You are able to choose your fixtures with his discount at 3 places so are not stuck to just one place, this works quite well. Kelly is very patient and listens to whatever you ask, I would not hesitate to hire him for the next home I build.

Had After Eight install main floor hardwood and carpet in new home. The service was outstanding, as well as the product. We installed Tarkett hand scraped hardwood on the main floor, and it still looks amazing. After Eight goes out of its way to make sure you are satsified. I went in there on another new home and asked them about a show home and if they knew the carpet in that home. I was amazed to find they had supplied the carpet in that home and could look up what they put in there if I wanted it. Overall, I would go back to After Eight, as I know what I am getting from them each time.

Had Trail supply lumber and trusses for a new home, they did the truss layout, prices were good, and the quote was done quickly. Very helpful with suggestions, as we were also installing a deck with the new home. Overall, I will be going back for our next home build.

Reliance came to our door to sell us a home alarm package with monitoring. We were sold 2 room sensors, Co2 detector and wall unit as well as 3 door sensors. Reliance installed the items, however over the winter the door sensor batteries would freeze and would give a low battery warning. After numerous visits one of the techs said replacing batteries just leads to same issue, he put in an internal door sensor which can be seen but it works. I wont even get into the poor service from the monitoring company. You will always get automated calls and get cutoff when trying to get a hold of someone there. One time the fire alarm went off due to come cooking, and I called thru the panel, to have them not call the fire department. I got acknowledgement to not send the fire dept and they still came. As well when the alarm went off, usually they will call thru the wall panel to ask if everything is ok but they didnt. Overall, dont buy an alarm from Reliance, as they dont know their product and the monitoring has quite poor service.

Had Manuf from Trail assist us with appliances for a newly built home, all the appliances were Kitchen Aid, as well a water softner. Basically Manuf said come back when he calls us as Kitchen Aid has a sale, when the sale came Manuf called us and got us a great price. He went to great depths to explain the differences for the stove, dishwasher, fridge, and we also bought LG washer/dryer along with the water softner. Overall Manuf knew his products, got us the best price possible and was prompt in returning calls, and answering questions

Had Robin, who is the person you want to see when you go to Gienow do all the windows and doors. More than accomodating, described the design of the windows and then spent time going over the plans to get the windows right. Each time I visited her she would always stop what she was doing to answer any questions. She also helped with any changes to the windows and doors and was very prompt in replying to phone calls and emails. Best of all she had a great price backed by even better customer experience. She even reccomended other trades, that could help us build the home.

Up to Code provided services for a new home build, Mike contracted out services, quality of the workmanship was poor as sump pump was never seated properly and not clamped down, it had to be replaced. A number of the faucets, kitchen, bathtub were of poor quality and leaked soon after install. Water line to fridge also leaked and was repaired after waiting a week to fix. Gas control valve to hot water tank had to be replaced, Mike sent out 2 plumbers to fix that and the leaky faucets, which after 2 hours were determined it was the faucets that need to be replaced. Products initially put in by Up To Code. The plumber that came to fix the water tank mentioned to me that a number of things like the faucets were not installed correctly by the original contracted plumbers. Overall quality of workmanship was poor and hardware supplied was also poor.
