Aluminum siding was visibly pulled back. Possibly I'd pulled it back while pulling down vines. Regardless, animals either did live inside or would soon. I called A-1 and Louis came when he said he would. He outlined options clearly, he assessed the problem and based on his assessment we were pretty certain that animals probably hadn't moved in yet. Accordingly, he provided the cheaper service of simply pushing the siding back into place. He could easily have given a more grim assessment just to get me to pay for extra work. Problem solved in about half an hour.

The man diagnosed by phone, gave me a price by text, came when he said he would and took care of it. bonus- he replaced a hinge on my other garage door that I hadn't noticed was broken.

We needed someone to replace the kitchen faucet. I tried DIY but couldn't even get the old one out. WaterWorks Plumbing came within a day, didn't give me a time but called within an hour of arrival (as agreed). In addition to the work they attempted to reuse the retractor spring from the old sink at my request, re-installed the sink brace that I'd knocked out during my DIY effort. All cheerfully done. Afterwards Michael even checked out the bathroom sinks which drained too slowly and did a quick fix on that at no extra charge. I did no cost comparisons, I have no idea whether this price was reasonable but I do know I'm glad to have it all done well, and done quickly.

It's hard to beat this. I can only write one review, but I've come to them for three repairs: washing machine, dryer, and dishwasher. In all three cases they found loose connections or adjusted tension screws (i.e. no new parts) - on the Miele washer dryer their service was cheaper, faster, and better than service directly from Miele. Miele helped me replace fuses, 4MD rewired around the fuses (North America we don't need the fuses - circuit breakers cover that off.) Steve called when the office said he would call. He came when he said he would come and even stayed for a few minutes to talk me through how I could switch the door on my dryer to open from the other side. Every visit took less than an hour. They came within 2 days (compare to Miele's offer of a week later) and on the first Miele job the complete cost was $70 dollars LESS than it would have cost for Miele to walk in the door. I didn't bother to comparison shop after that. They made the mark and executed with courtesy and speed. I've scanned receipts from Miele and 4MD for the same fusebox job - I'm not sure why Homestar isn't letting me upload any more. I call 4MD first and I recommend them.
