Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control

We hired them to spray the outside of our house for spiders and put a few mice traps as precaution since we had a previous mice problem. We ended up signing up for a quarterly service that was to be once per season, in March, about $250 each time. Similar to other reviews on here, DO NOT SIGN UP FOR IT. They booked appointments in advance while they were there but then never confirmed and never showed up, then would just show up when was convenient for them and never called in advance, so we never got the “full service” because if we weren’t home they would just walk around the outside of the house. They also would just come and charge you when they did this, so they decided to come every other month which meant we were charged 3 times in 6month period, instead what was supposed to be once every 3 months over a year. Do not hire this place, hire a small local business instead!

Raccon Problem. Called Skedaddle. Representative shows up and indicated that once the raccoon was trapped, I had two choices: release on my property or alternatively, I would have to euthanize it. I found this hard to believe that these were my only choices. He indicated that this was the provincial law and those were my only choices.

I did in fact check the Act and Regulations and spoke with the provincial wildlife authorities. There was another option that the representative neglected to share. Once trapped, I could take the raccoon and deposit on crown land.

I found his approach of not telling me everything very misleading and using the "you only have two choices" approach very underhanded into cornering a panicked client into signing a contract. When I called the company to give the facts, the response was "Oh you know the Act is quite complicated to understand"...

I would not recommend this company. They are expensive and will use whatever tactics necessary to get you to sign a $2000+ contract.

Raccoon had 4 babies in my attic. Skedaddle sent two fellows Stuart and his companion. Within a day the raccoon and her babies were removed. These two fellows were the most polite and informative employees any company would be proud to have

This autumn, I was in a new home and for the very first time, I found myself dealing with several types of animals/rodents that decided my house would be a great place to make their home for the pending winter months. I had heard about Skedaddle from a colleague and also noticed their trucks on my street. Because of their humane approach to wildlife removal, I gave them a call. A technician was out the next day and did a thorough combing of both the outside and inside of my home, identifying various entry points. I got a written quote the same day and then had them back within a few days to have them do the work needed to resolve the issues. (I also opted to pay up for added protection against future invasions. A big ticket item but well worth it for the warranty and peace of mind) Skedaddle did everything they said they would do and they had great follow up. I really appreciated the responsiveness, thoroughness, and professonalism of the whole team; from the supervisors and technichians, to the customer service people who take your calls and schedule the visits. They proved to be a great company to deal with and I would highly recommend them again and again.

I am appalled at how Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control treated us as good paying customers, and in how Skedaddle responded to damage it caused to our home. I feel compelled to share with other consumers our horrific experience dealing with this company.

We hired Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control to do work for us, which cost almost $6,000.00. The Skedaddle workers doing the job caused extensive damage to our home and said nothing to us about it. They were paid in full the balance owing before they left. So we were shocked to discover the damage left behind.

I immediately contacted Skedaddle with photos showing the damage. The next day Skedaddle offered us $100.00 for the damage, which we declined. I soon contacted Skedaddle’s CEO, who continued pressuring me to accept a lowball offer. I finally had to terminate communications with him, and hire a professional restoration company to do clean-up and restoration—plus get testing done for health and safety. Out-of-pocket costs for cleanup and testing were over $10,000.00. Only when I notified Skedaddle Humane Wildlife Control of a pending claim did the company involve its insurance company to try to resolve the matter.

Needless to say, I would absolutely not recommend using this company.

Spencer, from Skedaddle in Hamilton area did a great job servicing our issues. He went above and beyond! He was very pleasant and professional. This company really makes sure that the problem will be solved, with repeat applications, unlimited for no extra charge. I have used them multiple times in different homes that we have owned over the years. They are honest and reputable. Turned out that the bats were not in our home anywhere, which was a great relief. When we purchased our home, close to $5,000 was spent to remediate an issue with bats in the attic to close the deal. Skedaddle promises a lifetime guarantee on their work. Three years later and the attic is completely infested with bats. They have come back twice and done minor work, and now are saying that their work only covers a portion of the sealing done to the house, even though the invoice says that all entry ways were sealed. When this was pointed out to the manager, they accused us or the previous homeowners of literally writing this line item into the invoice, which is absurd. Do not spend money with this company.

The company installed bat traps and caulking to take away bat access. Took some years, but the company is honoring their warranty and promising the removal of our bat problem.

Skedaddle has been helping keep our house mouse and squirrel free for years. This year, had a lovely nuthatch decide that a place behind some cedar siding was perfect for a nest. Now in November, Andrew and his crew are vacating the area of any and all (I hope) residents. I have confidence in this company.

Nice guys for sure. $75.00 for first consult. Screwed metal screening to the side of our house where the foundation meets the shingles. 30' x 1' of screen cost $1200.00; caulked around utility lines. Same kind of screen costs about $15.00 a roll at Home Depot. That's quite a profit.
