Arco Roofing Calgary's Cedar Shake Roof Repair Specialist

We were told by our insurance company we had to have our roof evaluated because it was old.
Then we called some companies to evaluate. What do you know? All of the roofing companies, that make a living replacing roofs, fell over themselves telling us that the roof HAD to be replaced in its entirety.
Quotes ranged from 20 - 60k!

My wife and I bought our first home this past summer. Our home inspector told us the roof needed replacing sooner then later. The previous owners of the house had an existing warranty for the roof with ARCO Solutions so we gave Art a call. He scheduled a free estimate to see if the roof could be fixed up or if it indeed needed to be replaced. Much to our relief Art said it was still in pretty good shape and just needed some new cedar shakes in a few spots and that with proper maintenance (every 5 years) it should last at least another 10-15 years. I have a 20 years old home with pine shake roofs and over period of time, some shakes had started to fall off. After extensive research on google, I contacted 3 companies for an estimate for roof repairs. One was a straight knock-off as they offered to replace the roof with asphalt shingles. Other 2 offered me roof repairs. The main reason to go with Arco were following:
1. A very professional quote with every minute details.
2. A sketch, showing exactly which shakes to be repaired and at what location.
3. Option to replace bare minimum shakes and optimum number of shakes.
4. Excellent discussion with ARCO on the quote, options, issues. Helped me understand the shake roof and how I could save money.
5. End of the day, ARCO installed 10% extra shakes, within same price which is highly appreciated.

I highly recommend them for any shake roof jobs and will be my contractor going forward for any roof repairs.

ARCO Solutions were recommended to me by two friends, and I will happily recommend them to others. Art and his team are proficient, courteous and professional. They did some repairs on my Mother's 16 year old cedar shake roof that should keep the house well protected for years to come. They did the work on time, and cleaned up completely once it was finished.

Art has been supper informative and helpful. To assist with our timeline he met at our office to review our estimate and make plans for our repairs. Arco Roofing Solutions more than exceeded my expectations to repair my thirty-four-year-old cedar shake roof. Their estimate was fairly priced, clear and concise and included a drawing of my roof showing exactly where new shakes and ridge caps were needed. I was also very happy to see that Arco stands behind their work with a five-year warranty. Roofing is major work and I appreciated meeting with Art Hassenrueck (the owner) to discuss in detail all the necessary requirements for my home. This gave me the chance to ask any questions about the job and a really good feel for the company behind the work. I believe Art and his team really do care about the quality of their work and conduct themselves with honesty and integrity.

As for the actual repairs, well the team of Mike, Mark, Moses, Tyson, Lyle, Joel and Brett were outstanding.
