Nord Ost Railings

We are building a new house and our previous stair staining contractor messed up the colour. We called Max to fix it and he sanded the entire 3 stair cases down and restained them the correct colour to match our floors. This was extremely difficult to do, and it took more than a week, but he got it perfect!!! He had to replace the posts and the hand-rails as it would have been more expensive to sand and redo the old ones. It was much harder to fix the previous guy's mistake than it would have been to do it from the start. After our experience with the other guy we only trust Max with our stairs from now on!

I was having new floor installed and wanted to renovate my staircase (stairs, railing, spindles). My flooring contractor recommended Max from Nord-Ost. Max came out very quickly and gave me a very reasonable quote. He explained exactly what would be done and answered all of my questions. He was very patient with me while I was deciding the design I wanted. He worked well with the flooring guys making sure no one got in each others way. Max's attention to detail was phenomenal. He took such care in making sure the treads were cut exactly. He cleaned up at the end of each day and arrived everyday at the time he told me he would be hear. Max went over and above in helping me move box and fixed a few things that had nothing to do with the stairs. I am so in love with my new stairs. Thanks Max for a fantastic job.

Max is the BEST! He replaced my staircases and did an EXCELLENT job! His price was reasonable. His workmanship is 11/10 and his attention to detail is just amazing. He totally redid two staircases and I am extremely pleased. He is on time. He works hard. He leaves the work place extremely neat and tidy. Max did an incredible job on our stairway and railing replacement and renovation. The workmanship and quality is unmatched and the attention to detail is what you will notice. The old stairs were wonky and unbalanced and the results, while they are beautifully finished, are also strong, level and perfectly installed. No more creaking sounds!!!

Price was fair and he was open and honest with us on quality so that we knew and understood we were paying for the best.

Max works hard and does a great job of communicating to you when you need to know things or have to make choices on installation details.

Max renovated the old entrance and basement stairs in our raised bungalow. He also replaced the old banisters. Every detail was looked after. His work was superb. Max worked in tandem with McLaughlin Flooring and redid 2 levels of curved staircases while our new hardwood floors were installed. The work was finicky as done in high gloss white pickets and high black handrail and treads, but Max persisted and we are very pleased with the end result. It was a real pleasure to work with Max.
