Had Complex Paving did our driveway with asphalt paving in June 2011. Frank is very quick returning your call only if you are a new customer. He will also be very quick coming to your house and give you estimate, and promise everything you ask you (I noticed these are the same comments are some others). Cracks appeared after a few months. Called them to repair the cracks, which took us at least 10 calls placed before hearing from them. A few more cracks appeared again this year, and now trying to get them back to repair. Wish me luck. Although they are on Mike Holmes' website, they might not be good enough...note: contractors found on their website are not warranted referral service - that's what they said on the website. Do your homework.

Hired them to do a patio, walkway and driveway. When I got the quote Frank told me how they did things. It sounded really good especially since I found them on the make it right website. Then I made a huge mistake. I signed a contract that did not spell out everything to the last detail. Needless to say they cut a few corners. They even skimped on the jointing sand.

I hade my home landscape done by Complex Paving This past year and it came out beautiful. The stone work as well as the asphalt work was amazing and they showed up on time and completed the job in the alotted time. I was amazed to see negative reviews about this company because I found them through the Mike Homes web site so I just thought I would let everybody know that they were a pleasure to deal with and the quality of the job has held up this far I will report back if anything changes.

Our front driveway needed to be resurfaced, and not being sure where to go, we looked up who had been used by Mike Holmes on his show. After first contact, Frank came immediately to price the job, and discuss it with us. I guess my first clue should have been that he didn't want to do any locates, so I undertook to make those arrangements. When they were in place, he waited six weeks to come, and I almost had to call to have them done again. This was when the driveway was dug up, and gravel put down. It was many weeks later, and many phone calls before they came to surface the driveway. The part closest to the house was slopped into the side of the house, and water pooled there every time it rained. There were cracks in the asphalt before a month. After many, many calls, and promises, they came to fix it after 8 pm on a week night in October in the dark, and the fix was to just pour more asphalt on the problem areas with no preparation. I discussed it with them on site, and they said that the problems were the fault of the City of Toronto, and their regulations about the composition of asphalt in the City, and it was all explained on the back of the agreement. The back of my agreement is blank.
This was October 2009. This year, my son-in-law called regularly because we have much larger cracks now, and after many calls, and promises, they managed not to show up until a year was up, and made no effort to make it right in any way.

Frank runs Complex Paving. He came to my door and promised the best job ever with 5 years warranty. I should have known better! It was a farce. He was completely dishonest about the quality of the job his company did and also about the warranty of the job. After one winter the driveway was completely destroyed, with cracks and bumps. He came with his brother and looked at the driveway after I complained. He said that they need to redo the driveway by completely excavating and putting a new base with gravel and this time I need to pay an additional $6000. This was the most outrageous scam I have experienced! In the first place they promised to prepare the driveway with new gravel base, which I think they failed to do. Anyway, I didn't want to waste time with these guys, but I am hoping that by posting this comments others will be aware of their Scams.
