Polanski Moving Systems

Polanski Moving was recommended to me by my real estate agent when I sold my house in Etobicoke to move to a condo in Toronto. They are very pleasant to deal with, offered very helpful advice and were punctual, professional, careful and courteous in every aspect of the move. Two furniture items proved especially challenging, but the men persevered and got the job done without any damage to either piece.
When I subsequently contacted Tom Polanski about a smaller move to an out-of -town location, he recommended that we save money by having them only pack a rental truck at our end, and do the driving and unpacking ourselves. This was the best solution for the small move.
I don't think you can find a better moving company in the city, at such a competitive price.

After requesting quotes from several movers I remembered that for years I have driven by the Polanski Moving truck parked on the South Kingsway. I contacted them for a quote which I received promptly. They delivered moving supplies to my house so that I could prepare my belongings. On moving day I had two pick up locations. They showed up on time and were incredibly efficient at removing my items from my old condo, including a VERY LARGE piece of furniture that I did not think would ever get out the door. My condo was empty in under 30 minutes. The second stop was a storage unit that was emptied out in 15 minutes. They were so fast but also took great care to make sure my items arrived safely at my new condo. All on my contents were deposited in my new place in under an hour. The guys that moved me were polite, professional, delicate and caring. I have and will continue to recommend this company to friends and family. A great local company that I am very happy to support!

I never generally post on boards, but I really just can’t say enough good things about Polanski Moving.

We were abandoned by our original moving company at the last minute, and we were in a desperate situation. We called Polanski after several friends recommended them (we should have gone with them first), and they were so understanding and professional. Given how badly we were burned by the original company, we were very stressed out and called them about five times in two days to confirm the details, and they never seemed annoyed or put out and answered all our questions for us and put us at ease.

The day of they showed up 15 minute early and were SO friendly and wonderful. They did their job very thoroughly, and were very respectful of our things. They charged us exactly what they said they were going to and we never felt they were ripping us off (in fact, they were very reasonably priced!).

I wish I could do more to support this company, and I know all my friends have just gushed about them. I will use them again in a heartbeat and I really recommend them!

This is my third time that I have used Polanski to move me. The team is great, they have this synergy that binds them together to make the usual ordeal, painless. I have recommended them in the past and most recently to a collegaue at work who moved from Maple to Newmarket and she was very satisfied with them as well. Polanski came recommended to us from a very particular friend of my wife. We initially used them when moving from our apartment to our first condo. The phone calls were a touch short but I put my faith in them and they did not disappoint. They even got our box spring to the second floor of our condo from one balcony to the other above it. Amazing! We have recommended them to numerous friends with little complaint. We used Polanski again when we moved from our condo to our house and again, they were superb. I will ONLY use Polanski.

No one really wants to move themselves. We only do it because,
a) we're poor
b) we just want to drive that massive UHAUL and feel the power
c) the moving company you originally booked effed up and left you with nothing but frustration

Enter the king of moves, Polanski Movers. We booked them on a recommendation from one hellova realtor, and from the high praise bestowed upon them from a colleague. But even still, you just never know what you'll run into when it comes to hiring out a company for their services, especially movers, so we were still leery (can ya tell we've been burned a few times? Ya think?). After an initial series of emails and phone calls, all of which were very pleasant and painless, the manager came to our home for a quick walk-through to ensure everything was covered. He came over promptly at the suggested time, and showed up looking very professional and approachable. He surveyed our small home, said everything was in order, and confirmed once again that we were good to go for the big moving day.

A few days before the move we called Polanski to inquire about chests of drawers and closets, and after a polite but tiresome game of phone-tag (loathe the phone), we finally connected and we were informed that they'd prefer to pack these items as is. No problemo!! And again, on the day before we were due to move, the manager (Chris) called to inquire about moving the start time up on hour due to the extreme weather warning (okay, so it was the ONLY hot day we've had all summer this year - go figure). We had no issues whatsoever with an earlier start time, as we knew we wouldn't be sleeping that night anyway...

On move day, the 3 man crew showed up only 10 minutes late, but only after calling twice to indicate they were struck in a wee bit of traffic. All 3 guys were dressed in matching golf shirts and pants, smiled and nodded accordingly, and got immediately to work, wrapping and packing and whatnot. It was amazing! They wrapped everything, from the furniture to pillows to mirrors to lamps. They even unknowingly to me, packed up our closets for us! They took one short smoke/coffee break, and gave us a bit of a forewarning just before they did so. Upon reaching the new home, they unpacked everything just as delicately and proficiently and were done just 20 minutes shy of their original projection. Only one small cheap Ikea dresser was slightly damaged, and they offered to come back and fix it for us or give us a small discount.

All in all, we would HIGHLY recommend Polanski Movers to anyone who's looking for an affordable, professional and courteous moving company in the GTA.
