Umbrella

Paid $5000 cash, Picked up a second umbrella I went back because the umbrella she gave me was used and had holes in it.
Would not exchange or give a refund. I also filed a complaint with the BBB. The Chez chairs broke within months and could not get new hardware from her and all the fittings are brass and fall apart. They do not care they plan to build a high rise condo on the property and will probably run off with every ones deposit.

Furniture

Terrible. Sales person is borderline abusive. I purchased 12 outdoor chairs (paid in full) and never received them! First, the container is on its way, then we have to unload (another week) and then come back Friday, Monday and so forth. The last time I showed up at the store she started yelling at me that I'm bothering her!!! She was also on the cell phone with her lawyer all the while I was there. Other people called the store and I heard her screaming at them over the phone to be patient. Buyer beware! There is something very fishy going on there.

Planters

DO NOT SHOP HERE! I consider us lucky to have even received the product we ordered (2 teak planters). After weeks of dropping by the store to try and pick up our order (they NEVER answer the phone), we were finally told the shipment came in. When my husband went to pick up the Medium planters we had paid for, the owner told him she "never" would have sold them at that price, and tried to make us take the small size. He finally stormed into the stock room to get the ones we paid for, and the stock boy told him "good for you - she does this to people all the time". The owner told us never to come back - no problem with that.

Just don't go there - period. Untruths and never returned calls. Is there a class action lawsuit coming? Count me in.

Terrible customer service. Terrible products.

Atrocious.

Outrageous.

Burn your money instead.

Teak Table and Chairs

Unbelievable. I am just shaking right now after having talked to Bianca. She has had my money since January when I ordered and I am STILL waiting for the table and two chairs. I already went down two months ago to pick up JUST the 6 chairs, but the two arm chairs were missing after being told they would be available FINALLY. I dealt with Pedal, who I thought was the owener and now she is no longer there. I have called, sent a fax, no one has ever callled to apologize for it taking so long or kept me up to date on my order. It's always, next week...... and I call and call and call. I am being told it is finally there. And when I asked if the arm chairs were there, she said of course, well, I said that's what you said last time and it wasn't true. I said I wanted them set aside with my name on them so she wouldn't sell them to someone else before I can get there, and she acted put out !!!!!! Customer Service NILLLLL Rude YEAHHHHHHH
DO NOT SHOP HERE. I got a good deal, but regret the whole experience tremendously. It's not worth the ulcer. STAY AWAY for your peace of mind and sanity.

Teak dining set

After paying more than $4,000 for a teak dining set on May 27, and being told it would arrive in two to three weeks, it's now August 15 and nothing. I call Bianca every week and it's the same story - "it's on a cargo ship and will arrive next week.." I finall told her that if I don't have it by Monday, I want a full refund (I've already paid for it!) or I will take legal action. This is absolutely the worst customer service I have every experienced in my life.

Chaise lounges

We experienced very similar service to the previous review. We purchased ordered 5 chaise lounges in November for delivery in Spring. We received two, and were told that they had given the others to someone else. We were promised the remainder in the next shipment. We could never get a straight and clear answer from Bianca as to what had happened to our chairs -- and she never returned phone calls.

We would never, ever consider purchasing anything from this store again -- and would recommend that others avoid it too.

We prefer to support local businesses -- but not ones who treat customers like this business does.

Singapore Sectional

In March 07, we purchased the sectional sofa from the 2781 Yonge store location. A few months later, one of the legs bent at an alarming 45 degree angle. The store has a one year warranty policy from date of purchase on defective products (also posted on their website). The store sent a repair technician who claimed the inner screw was weak and was able to fix the faulty leg. In Jan. 08, one of the other legs bent and when I called the store and spoke to a sales associate "Bianca", she accused me of misuse and denied her technician's feedback on weak inner screw, but still agreed that she would "do her best" to help fix the problem. The sofa rests on a low pile berber carpet, and after just a gentle push to get at a phone jack, the leg bent easily. I'm not a very strong person (weighing in at 120lbs ) and a well made sofa should not give so easily - this hardly qualifies for "misuse". One month later, we still have no return call from the store after leaving messages (last left on Jan. 14th/08). This is the first web post I've ever made on a store, however in defense of the consumer, I hope this note enlightens future buyers on Eddo's questionable policy and seek doing business with a more reputable, customer-service reputation.
