Complete Roofing

Complete Roofing replaced my roof in 2014. I was very happy with the job. In Feb 2015 we suffered very large ice build up on a portion of my roof. When I called Complete Roofing (in the dead of winter) a service person was on site quickly to try to help with some ice removal. We are very impressed.

Despite some not great reviews I found on homestars about this company, after some research (asked for 5 quotes), I have decided to have my roof replaced by Complete Roofing; this past July. The reason for contacting them in the first place was because I have seen their lawn ad on my neighborhood, and after talking to the owner of the house they worked on, I decided to ask for a quote.
Prior to that I have done some work in familiarizing myself with the materials available on the market and the way work has to be done.
I am leaving feedback today because I wanted to wait first to see how the roof sustains after rain, snow and mostly the windstorm from Nov 2014.
From the initial contact, Joe Hube, the sales representative left a quote for me the next day in my mailbox. The quote was very competitive and thorough. I have asked later on for a one –on –one meeting with Joe and he made time and come to meet in person. Joe answered all the questions I had about the roof.
They finished the job on a single day, but had a large crew. After completion Joe came again and we both climbed on the roof and we did an inspection to make sure things were done properly.
After careful consideration I can recommended Complete Roofing to anyone that’s looking for a quality made roof. They use the top 3 singles in the market: CertainTeed, Owen Corning, GAF/ELK.

Through our contractor this company was used to have a new roof put on our home. The problems began when we opened our pool in May/2012. Our pool company left a note that there was a roofing shovel at the bottom of our pool. (It had gone through the pool cover and was sitting on the bottom of our pool for 1 month) We were concerned about the rust that was on the pool bottom and if there was a hole in the liner. Next we had a lot of rain one night and the ceiling in our master bedroom and bathroom began leaking. We called the contractor and they came right away to go back up on the roof because "apparently" a vent was left open. A couple of days later the potlights in our kitchen started dripping water. Luckily we were home. Roofers came again and made some kind of "change" up on the roof.

Would never use Complete Roofing again for anything.

When I hired complete roofing a year ago, they took the time to go over the whole project with me. They offered the most competitive price without trying to sell me things that I didn`t need, unlike some other companies. when the roof was completed, they even connected my bathroom fans to the roof. They also did a great job cleaning up

Mark came out to provide his opinion on the state of our roof and noted that only the lower roof needed to be redone. We appreciated his honesty in not trying to "oversell". As well, he replaced our two skylights and they are perfect. The roofing crew left not a nail or piece of scrap on our property, promptly cleaning up after themselves. We highly recommend Complete Roofing.

Complete Roofing was one of several roofing companies that we received quotes from this Spring. They seemed very professional, the quote seemed reasonable and our neighbour was already having them replace their roof, so it seemed like the best option.

The roof is complete and it looks very nice, however a few comments for improvement:
* Shingles, debris, plastic bags, roofing nails were found around our yard. I understand the odd piece of debris will fall off the roof, but wouldn't it be standard policy to take a look around before you leave the property?
* Cigarette butts were left all over our driveway. I found this totally disrespectful and disgusting.
* When the job was "complete" we were told that Complete Roofing would arrange to have the large disposable bin removed from our driveway at 4pm (on a Friday night). I arrived home from work at 6pm, and the large disposal bin was still there. I had to call the disposal company and arrange to have it removed myself, the following day. Which also meant I had to park my car on the street overnight. Luckily we don't get parking tickets often in my neighbourhood.
* Complete Roofing also installed a new down spout, it arrived with a few dents in it - didn't look brand new. When we told them about it, they said they would face that side of it to the house so it wouldn't be noticeable.
* There was a spot in the roof that had to be finished, took several days for somebody to show up and finish it.
* Took a week or so to pick the lawn sign up off of our yard.

Like I mentioned above, in the end, we were satisfied with the roof, I guess the real test of the product will occur this winter, or the next heavy rainfall.
However, there were a few issues I felt important enough for customers and Complete Roofing to know about.

We replaced our roof 2 yrs ago. We had a leak and had to move quickly. However, we did take the time to do some homework and got a few quotes. We went with Complete Roofing because we knew someone in the neighbourhood who had their room done by them and because their quote came in in the middle. We were nervous about going with the the lowest bidder. The roofers left a mess, debris all over the yard, the roofing tiles are all crooked and there were several nails that were not hammered in. We had to call them several times to come and fix things. We were told that we got defective tiles and they would follow up with the manufacturer. They never did and did not return our calls.

I chose Complete Roofing to re-roof my home because they had done work for a few of my friends who were very happy with them. I must say that they exceeded my expectations. The estimator helped us with our shingle choice by providing us with numerous homes to look at and homeowners to talk to about the process. We love the look of our new roof and were very happy with the crew who did a wonderful clean-up job. We would highly recommend Complete Roofing to anyone looking for a new roof.

I hired this company just after I bought my first house.(young woman, naive in the ways of some roofers) The salesman came, charming, and showed me lovely pictures of houses for whom they'd completed roofs. I hired them. Now let me say this was about 14 years ago, but I've had so many problems over the years and very very difficult to get them to return a call. The metal they used for flashing etc looks like it was cut and pasted by a child. They skipped inexpensive thisngs like a drip edge (which I paid for) and that caused so many problems. It was so bad that it still bothers me after all these years. When roof was being repaired, we found shingles actually placed over areas where there was just empty space beneath most of it because the wood they replaced was 8" too short.

thrilled with everything they did...quick and clean...have recommended them since...

There was a minor issue and they came back right away to take care of it...and we didn't have to pay until we were happy!
