Chouinard Bros Roofing

Our roof was beyond repair through wear and tear over the years. Chouinard Bros. was contacted for their assistance with a new roof replacement. They were prompt and attentive. Service persons came to inspect and give honest advice about the need for a new roof. We had a sales person here with new roof samples shortly after and provided professional answers to our questions. We decided to proceed with their services. In the interim they sent us service people to patch a vulnerable area to prevent water seepage until the new roof is replaced. Our experience was and is a very postitive one.

Originally I had requested a full service: Complete removal of old insulation from my 30-year old house' attic; checking the attic for potential issues; making necessary repairs and additions (attic baffles, vents), and then having new insulation blown in and bringing it up to the R50 standard.

All was done to my satisfaction (I hope), except one thing: the removal of old insulation. Having it done was important to me but, unfortunately, the machine that the crew brought with them to remove it turned out to be broken and useless. Because of this the crew could only do part of the job: adding some baffles and correcting a bathroom vent installation, and then topping up the insulation to R50.

I paid accordingly less for it.

Requested a complete roof replacement (with all available upgrades) on my 30-year old house.

The work was done well as requested but a couple of my brand new downpipes (that had just been installed several days prior) inadvertently got banged up during the roof installation. The vendor told me the job was all complete and expected me to pay but never mentioned the damaged downpipes until I sent them pictures as evidence and requested replacement of the damaged parts. That work was completed in a few days. Good job, otherwise!

Had my roof done back in 2009 and it's leaked twice. First time they "forgot" the weather and ice shield. They came back and fixed this and it's been fine sine. Second leak started and when they came out they said the issue was not with the roof but with my siding on a dormer and they could easily fix it for $$$$$$. Rain starting coming into my house like buckets again so this time I called two other companies. Both companies quoted a fix and said the issue was NOT THE SIDING but the step flashing. They never replaced the step flashing when they did the roof. They tried to shove the singles under the old flashing and using caulking and spray foam to stop the leaks. You can see this is the pictures. Also the layout of the singles on the roof is wrong. While it won't cause the roof to leak it won't hold up well to weather/wing.

STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO DO YOUR ROOF TWICE AND HAVE PLENTY OF LEAKS.

Amazing service...responded to my inquiry immediately. Repair was efficient and well done by courteous and knowledgeable roofer who provided an HONEST appraisal of situation. They actually put the client first...Would gladly recommend them. They were recommended to me by a satisfied customer. It was a great experience to deal with this company.

Chouinard Bros replaced my roof after they were recommended to me by a neighbour. The sales guy was named Matt and met with me after I was done work to go over the quote. Very helpful. We ended up taking his recommendation on a Shingle upgrade after he showed us some samples. The crew worked quickly and we were very happy with the job. Looks great. Everything was cleaned up as well afterwards.

Had entire roof replaced on a 12 year old house after severe curling and wear on a large amount of the shingles.
The estimator from Chouinard (Krista) came out at my convenience and provided me with a timely quote and was very professional in explaining the problems I had with my current shingles and how Chouinard would deal with the current shingling job. Also, returned all calls quickly and answered any additional questions I had before finally committing to this company.
Had a total of 6 quotes and although Chouinard's was one of the highest, I felt comfortable that I was going to get what I paid for.
Crew was very professional in installing exactly what was quoted and in cleaning up after the job.
Would recommend this company based on the professionalism of the estimator and delivering what was quoted on.

Chouinard Bros did a fantastic job in replacing our roof in October 2015. From start to finish Krista and team took the time and guided us through the entire process. Matt's roofing crew worked like animals to get everything done in one day, even with the unexpected surprise of a layer of cedar shingles under the top layer. The roof looks fantastic and it survived unscathed after last week's 40mm rain in one day - so we're happy!

Overall, we were very happy and would definitely recommend Chouinard to others.
