Advanced Cleaning did an outstanding job cleaning the carpets in our condominium! We had them do a deep clean as our carpets hadn't been cleaned in 5 years and they showed moderate soiling in high traffic areas. Advanced showed up on time and did a thorough job of cleaning two levels of our condo and two long flights of stairs.. We would hire them, again, and can gladly recommend their services to other Home Star customers.

Graham and Urban Piping did a complete Poly-B refit of our newly purchased condo before move-in this summer. We were impressed with Graham's timely communication, his willingness to accommodate an extremely tight-timeline, and superior level work. It was hard to know where the walls and ceilings had been opened up in our place! We liked the fact that Urban took responsibility for every aspect of the job from start to finish, rather than us having to deal with different contractors for the dry-wall repairs. We also liked the fact that Graham guaranteed the price, rather than just giving us an estimate. A second quote from a competitor was less, but they were unwilling to guarantee the price. The competitor also could not guarantee a project finish date that worked with our schedule. I really can't say enough about Graham's communication and his bending over backwards to schedule the work last minute between our possession and move-in dates. You rarely find this kind of customer service in the trades nowadays! The only negatives were an 8 out of 10 rating on the final clean by the maid service due to inadvertently leaving a second-story window open overnight (no rain, so no foul) and missing a few items including not cleaning the main floor toilet after the workmen were through. However, since we were impressed with every other aspect of the job, we still feel the job merits a 10/10. We would definitely recommend Urban to others and use them, again.

I can't say enough good things about No Payne Roofing. Mike responded to our request for quotes on a roof repair incredibly fast. I described the problem (inspection of our home for selling turned up a section of weathered shingles) , sent him a picture of the weathered area, and informed him what we needed (a section re-shingled). Mike provided a reasonable quote for the work. He answered all my questions in a timely manner about the product he would use as our current shingles have been discontinued. He showed up when he promised and did an A-1 job of re-shingling the damaged area. The match with the old shingles was very good, despite being a slightly different model of shingle. He left the worksite neat and tidy and even left us the excess shingles from the opened package. I would definitely call Mike, again, and use No Payne roofing for my future roofing needs!

Blake responded to my job posting on Home Stars within an hour! He had Dale, one of his service reps, out the next day to inspect a repair resulting from winter ice damming that had been attempted by another contractor. (The other contractor had failed to return several times to complete the job, so I put out a query for help on Home Stars.) Dale arrived on time for the appointment, listened well to my situation, and carefully reviewed the pictures I presented of the winter ice damming and resultant house leak. After inspecting the roof, he was able to determine that the previous repair was satisfactory and needed no further work at this time. I really appreciated that Dale did not attempt to "upsale" me. With the prompt response by Blake and the kind of attentive, unhurried, and honest service Dale provided, I would definitely plan to contact Mega Roofing and Exteriors again for future roof and exterior work.

Terry showed up right on time and quickly diagnosed the problem with our front-load, high-capacity washer. He had the needed part in his truck and completed the repair on the spot. (BTW -They offer a 10% discount on parts for repeat customers!) We have used Terry and Appliance Service Centre for over 20 years. Their work is professional, honest, and dependable. We would not use anyone else for appliance repair!
