I took in a feral kitten who liked to mark her territory by peeing on the hall carpet. I manged to stop her from doing this but have never been able to get rid of the odour. I've used many pet store products and then found a positive review of Sears Carpet Cleaning and Deodorizing. I called Sears, they said they would charge me $69.00. When the technician came he noticed the odour and said it would be $40 extra for deodorizing. I should have been made aware that I would have had to pay extra when I booked. I had taken the day off work didn't have much choice but to to go ahead. The technician walked around squirting a deodorizer - sanitizer on the carpet then cleaned it. The odour wasn't noticable for a day and then became as bad as before. I called Sears to complain and they sent the technician back. I told them that that was just wasting his time and mine but they insisted. The technician sprayed the carpet again and then after inspecting the carpet with a black light agreed that the only solution was to remove the carpet. Sears offered me a 10% refund. I feel that this is unreasonable. The technician should have inspected the carpet with a black light at the beginning and said that there was nothing he could do. I had explained the problem to him and even showed him the cat (who looked guilty!!). If they had just refunded the cost of deodorizing , (which actually looked like a joke to me) I would have accepted it. Anyway I am in the process of ripping out the carpet. The cat is looking unhappy as the area she has to sit on is getting smaller and smaller.

The upholstery on my workout bench was destroyed by my cat Re-wrap picked the bench up, did a great job of reupholstering it and returned it promptly. I would highly recommend them.

Overall I was happy with Avery Moving and Storage. The owner, Steve, works hard and is obviously experienced. It cost a little more than I expected but it is very hard to predict in advance exactly how much a move will cost. I was moving from the third and second floors of a house and some of the furniture had to be taken out through french doors on the second floor. Also I hadn't used movers for over 20 years so didn't have much idea of the cost. The reason I didn't give a 10 was that a 3 piece glass desk wasn't fully reassembled. When I contacted Avery regarding this, he reminded me that he had asked me if everything was alright. The desk had looked as if it been reassembled but on closer inspection some of the components had been placed together but not screwed together. Avery did send someone to complete the job but it took a while. Meanwhile my cat jumped on the table not realizing that a piece of glass was missing. I can't, after witnessing a shocked Nanook go right through the table and land on the floor give Avery a 10 :)
