I went to Edwards after seeing their booth at the Home & Garden show. They have an excelletn selection of lawn decor/decorative pieces for the garden. I purchased several pieces to add to my newly-planted perennial beds. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Plus, their prices are much better than any of the other garen centres I have visited. It's just unfortunate that they are situated so far away.
I purchased many of my perennials from another company before going to Golden Acre. Golden acre had a great selection with competitive pricing. I filled my perennial bed with a few more plants from Golden Acre and plan to go back this spring when I start my backyard. I also plan to purchase a water fountain from Golden Acre - they had the best selection of all the garden centres that I visited.
Blue Grass offers a competitive price for excellent quality sod. we purchased some sod with other companies and Blue Grass definately offered the best quality. Our lawn was full and weed-free after jsut a few short weeks. We plan to purchase our sod from Blue Grass again this spring when we landsacpe our backyard.
We purchases all of our mulch to fill our newly-planted perennial beds. The staff were very helpful in choosing the appropriate mulch for the area we wanted to cover. They were also helpful in determining how much we would need. The staff had no problem staying a little bit late (after closing) while we made of decision - great customer service.

underground sprinkler system for entire yard
The staff at Eljay were very helpful in designing our irrigation system, taking into account our water pressure and what our future landscaping would include (e.g., perennial beds, shrubs, sod, etc.). It was also designed to save water (no water on the sidewalk!). We are very happy with our irrigation system.
We purchased window coverings for our dining room and bedroom. Great quality; however, the shades for the dining room had a flaw in the closing mechanism. Thye were not able to replace them with the same fabric, so they upgraded our fabric. We chose a beautiful new fabric and haven't had any problems since.
They built our new house and we are still having issues after 3 years. The cabinets in the kitchen are still apart, leaking soaker tub, sloppy drywall and paint work. They replaced the carpet on the upper floor because of flaw in the carpet.
