We were very pleased with the friendly professional attitude of the people sent to our home to evaluate and replace our hot water tank. They reviewed the issues with the tank and gave us good options. We chose a new rental unit and were very happy with the installation process.

Consultation and humidity solution
My cold room, which is underneath the front porch of my house, had been very humid and damp over the winter. I thought there might be a leak but couldn't find anything. I had a couple of concrete contractors come by and they suggested thousands of dollars of work to waterproof the room, even though there were no visible leaks. I also called Mike and he came round and suggested that the problem was a lack of ventilation. In addition to the fact that there were no leaks to be seen, he also pointed out that it had recently been very dry - we'd had several weeks without rain. I hired Mike to drill a ventilation hole, and he had it done, with a screen and vent cover on the outside. Since then, the humidity in the room has remained in the low 60% area. Mike saved me a lot of money, the stress of having my front yard dug up and my garden destroyed, and did good work. I'd recommend his services to anyone looking for an honest contractor.
Older half of roof needed replacing
Fixer on the roof gave us a great price and a clear explanation of what work needed to be done, what we might expect once the old roofing material was lifted. They were open and communicative before, during and after the job was done. They provided pictures of the different stages of work they did for us so we had a good understanding of exactly what was done and how it looked.

We've used Avery to pack and move us three times (move in together, then move from apartment to a house) in the last year and they were excellent each time. Courteous, professional, nice guys. Nothing got broken and they were on time and got the job done efficiently and without complaint. The prices ranged from 1100 to 2300 for the three different moves, based on the amount being moved.
