We wanted to get the chimney cleaning before using our wood burning fireplace; unsure of what the previous owner's did to maintain it. It turns out the furnace had been cleaned in the recent years and was in good shape. The sweep gave us tips on using the fireplace and generally was very helpful. The whole process was very quick - including laying down protective sheets and taking them back up after - 30-35 minutes I think it took. The only reason I didn't rate them a full 10 was it was the second appointment I made; the first one they didn't come on time and I couldn't wait around for the person to arrive and had to reschedule.

We used Broom's a few years ago in our previous house and were very satisfied with the results. When we moved to our new house we decided to use them again. We didn't really search around - I suspect if we did we may have saved some money overall but for the quality of the work, I still recommend them and am satisfied with what we got. We had extensive work done: oil tank removal and capping of old fill pipes; replace hot water heater; replace AC; replace Furnace; install/hookup new gas service; install ductless system for an attic room that isn't connected to the duct system in our house. The work too 2.5 days to complete; the crew was fabulous though. Very friendly, courteous, respectful of our place (using drop sheets everywhere, taking off their shoes if there were none in place etc.). They involved us when they needed to (placement of the new water heater for instance, which was in an awkward spot before) and resolved any issues we had during install. The production manager came by one of the days also to insure we were happy with everything so far. All in all, I recommend them as great people to work with.

We had Kleen-Rite in for duct cleaning about a week ago, just prior to changing our HVAC from oil to gas. We have only been in the house for a couple of months and the previous owners has not done this for years. The service was good, on time, finished promptly.

I've never gone through a reno large enough to get a bin for disposal so I wasn't sure where to turn to. Our contractor said they used Budget Bin. In our neighbourhood, LOTS of renos are being done to houses and we noticed lots of different bin companies but the most common one was Budget Bin. We called a few places to get an idea of how pricing worked and decided to try Budget Bin. If you have to do a reno - and you are in this area (Burl, Ham, Oakville), use them! I ordered online mid-morning one day last week - painless. $120 no matter what size of mini bin up to 20 cubic feet + what your bin weighs when it's done, you get 7 days with that price, $10/day for keeping it longer. They called me within a few minutes to confirm my order and confirm details. I had a few questions which they were glad to answer. The bin arrived a few hours later - same day. I had requested a certain spot on our driveway to accommodate our cars - the driver made sure I was ok with the position before lowering it. On delivery they put plywood down under the bin's "feet" to protect the driveway. We ordered the largest bin - it was huge! Yesterday I called them to pick it up early as we finished filling it already. They arrived this morning and again the driver couldn't be friendlier. He actually thanked me for not overfilling the bin beyond capacity! I was waiting for him to leave to sweep up where we had a little pile of garbage at the bin doors but he came out with his broom after the truck was loaded and swept it up for me... I am VERY impressed, they were easy to deal with; friendly and professional in every way.

I am one of those people who thought I would never buy from a place like Bad Boy (or Leons, The Brick, etc.) - annoying advertising, salespeople in your face, always seems like there is a catch, you know... Well, we were moving and looking for new appliances. We looked everywhere and they had prices that could not be compared - seriously. On the models we were looking at (mid range Whirlpool and GE Profile), the prices were literally hundreds less than same models elsewhere. Other places may have had one piece cheaper but not every piece. Even watching sales since then nothing is close to the prices we paid on our pieces. We had negotiated with the sales guy on a package deal and wanted to get delivery for free. They ended up giving us a discount at the end of it all that ended up being more than what we asked for so that was a pleasant surprise. The best part was the delivery. They delivery guys came (2 guys), quickly moved everything into our house. We had one issue with some screws missing on the bottom freezer pullout drawer of our fridge - they took the doors off to get it in but forgot to put two screws back in. We called the service number, and the next day the same moving guys dropped by again to fix the problem for us. No hassle. I was impressed and not expecting that level of service for those prices... usually low prices mean low service but I was pleasantly surprised and will not hesitate to look at Bad Boy again for our next purchase.

We are happy to recommend Burlington Movers. We searched Homestars before booking and based on other reviews tried them. They had 3 guys move us, all were fantastic - personable, funny guys. Booking was easy, they provided free wardrobe boxes and picture boxes for all our clothes and pics respectively which saved us a ton of packing. They moved everything efficiently and carefully and not a single thing was damaged, scratched or otherwise. The best part was it actually took less time than quoted so the price was less than the original estimate! We definitely plan to use them again if we ever move in the future.
