We had our pool installed in 2012 and we are very happy with our pool and yearly service which includes opening and closing. We had a great experience working with Paul the owner. He was really helpful, courteous, attentive and actually saved us money with some of his advice. We spoke to other pool companies and they really were not as informative or not attentive especially if they felt we were not committed to go with them. We told one company our budget and they did not bother call us back. Jameson and Paul the owner helped us work with our budget. I still remember how efficient and relatively clean the pool and landscape construction was. Everything was done on time and as planned. One thing I believe that sets Jameson apart is the after service. For example, when we go to the store we get very friendly and helpful advice. We live on a street where many of our neighbours have a Jameson pool and every season without fail, we get a group email from Vi to ask if we want to close/open our pools as a group and get a discount because Jameson can work our street at the same time. Now that is service! Would not hesitate to recommend Jameson.

I must admit I love the look and quality of our kitchen. The material is great, there has been some wear and tear but it has aged well. We had a mostly great design experience and contact in 2007 with head office was great. There were some bumps on along the way. The designer, her name was Gordana I believe, from the Oakville store was very attentive and friendly but she made errors so that on delivery, we did not get a proper fitting. They were measurement errors. Luckily the installer, I believe his name was Andrew (originally from Portugal), was a magician. He was able to mostly fix the errors and rearrange some of the cabinets. His work was absolutely brilliant. We had needed some followup work and the next guy was a real 1diot and 3erk, just wanted to hug my wife and Gordana all the time. Did not want to install lights ( or do much else really, longish grey hair wore glasses, looked a bit dishevelled, maybe he just got out of prison) so I just had to did it myself. My big issue, and I just found this out recently, was that the depth of my lower counter cabinets are 22 inches. I had a plumbing issue recently and the plumber measured it. He told my wife and I that standard cabinets are 24 inches. My wife was astonished! We just had Ikea cabinets installed at our cottage and she notice we seemed to have more storage. It all made sense. We got 22 inches lower cabinets instead of 24. I know it does'nt sound like much but my wife and I do notice a difference. Don't overlook this on your contract with Selba. Good luck.

Had great A/C service today from Mike B today. He was very thorough and offered a lot of helpful advice. We had our A/C unit installed by A1 9 years ago and we have yearly furnace and A/C service from A1. Always have great service from them, they are always courteous and thoughtful and treat my home like it is theirs. I highly recommend!

I have purchased shutters from this company TWICE in two homes and yes, they don't have great after sales service. However, they do have a great product at a great price. I told Marco the owner he is getting poor reviews on this site and he tells me he IS the after service person. I can however say that I am very satisfied with the shutters and price and would buy from them again. You do have to wait for after sales service and wait a long time.

Everytime I go to this Home Depot I am dissapointed. I can't wait till Lowes opens up close by. Many times I go in and it takes a long time to get service and the service is not helpful or friendly. For example, I ask for advice and I am made to feel dumb about it. One time I asked an older gentleman about problems I had installing lights and he basically brushed me off and told me I was obviously unable to do the job. He used to be an engineer because he wore an engineers ring on his pinky. The most recent purchase was a ceiling light and the cover was dented. I asked for a discount and spoke to the manager. He was very degrading and told me they usually give damaged items to Habitat for Humanity. I try to shop at this Home Depot unless absolutely necessary.

This home depot needs competition and a service training retrofit.

We Called Ian to do some electrical work in our house. We were putting in a new kitchen and needed two electrical switches moved, prewiring for valence lighting in a corner and an additional electrical outlet. It took him 4 days to do this and he was late coming 3 of the 4 days. He charged us 11.5 hours for his work and $264.00 for material. I found that he took his sweet time to pad the hours worked and we were expecting more from him. Really disappointed, very poor value for the money. Our recently hired electrician priced the job much lower. Postscript: Just a follwup to my previous note. My current electrician feels the job only needed about 5 hours and the cost of materials I was charged ($264) was exorbitant. It should not have been more than $80. I am posting a new updated review having obtained updated information. I carefully went through the work done by an experienced electrician and he states that he would think the work would have taken one full day or about 8 hours. This would be the case if the electrician stayed on the job the whole day. Ian had to go away to do other jobs on each day and this probably increase the time it took him to finish the work. My electrician feels that $200 would be a fair price for the amount of materials used. I am updating my review as I don't generally revel in critising someone's work especially if their livelihood depends on it. I would not have minded if it was disclosed to me prior to the work that because it was an emergency, it would cost me a premium

Hi Steve:

Thank-you for your opinion. I do appreciate the feed-back. In my 20 years of Electrical contracting experience, this is the first situation of this nature that I have encountered. I understand your frustration with me working at various times during the week. I discussed this point with your wife, and she confirmed that the electrical work would need to be completed by the end of the day on Friday. I explained that as an Electrical Service Contractor, I do need to respond to emergency break-down calls. During the week in question, I did have a number of very urgent break-down calls. This delayed my respose on the 3 out of the 4 days worked. I do acknowledge and apologize for this inconvenience to you. As your wife requested, the work was finished by Friday. Your wife thanked me for a job well done, and said she appreciated the effort I had made. If it will help to clarify the job, I would be pleased to provide you with a detailed copy of the materials used, and my cost to purchase. As far as the number of hours worked, here is a break-down :
- 3 switches were installed for 3 separate lighting areas.
- the valence lighting consisted of 4 different areas, not just 1 corner. Two additional switches were installed for cabinet pot lighting.
- the Kitchen island receptacle was an extra ( That I suggested to Mrs Choi, because of the added labour &amp expense of installation after the Kitchen would be completed.)
- Because all of the drywall in the Kitchen was existing, running the new wiring was much more labourious, than in a new, open frame situation.
I hope we have all learned the importance of TRANSPARENT and OPEN communication in all of our business relationships.
