Masterguard Roofing & Masonry

I had Mark quote on a job to fix a leaking flat roof. He gave me a reasonable quote but then while doing the work insisted that there was more work required and it was of course going to up the cost. This was a few months ago and now our roof is leaking in the exact same spot.

I have texted, called and emailed Mark to try to remedy this situation and there is no response. I have been trying to reach him for over a week and he clearly has no intention of honouring his "warranty."

Steer clear!

These guys knocked on our door and told us we had some missing/damaged shingles and offered a free inspection. They said they were on a neighbours roof when they noticed it. They said they could go on our roof and take a picture for us if we wanted to.
I was working so I declined and took their pamphlet. And We just had our roof inspected by a very reputable roofer so I had a feeling this was really odd.
After a few research, I realized they have almost no reviews online, except very suspicious ones all posted within a few days from each others.
And they seem to go around using 2 different names: MasterGuard roofing and Skyguard roofing and masonry. The 2 websites are similar, using same pictures and descriptions, both. put online a few month ago. Weird for a company that claims ro be in the business for 40 years or is it 25 years?
After posting about my experience in a neighborhood facebook group, many people replied they had the exact same experience, same scenario.
So be careful!!!

BEWARE - unscrupulous business! I was dealing with Mark, who charged me extra for a mistake his crew clearly made (not sure if it was intentional, in order to get more money or not). He asked for the balance owing prior to completing the agreed-upon work, which I regrettably paid in good faith.

Now I can no longer contact him or anyone at their company because he's disabled his cell phone, along with the email address posted on their website, which has another completely unrelated roofing company's address listed too.

This company took advantage of my elderly uncle. The roof was not completed properly, they refuse to refund and still havent fixed it. They told him $10k then asked for $20k. I asked for photographs they were never presented. Now the neighbours are complaining of excess water on their side.

Markus and patrick came out and gave me a great price on my chimney to get rebuild and they did a great job on it and I really recommend them to anyone else nice and tidy and fast good job guys
