The person on the phone, who I presume is the owner, came across as incredibly nice and accommodating.
So in order to avoid having to 'pay at the door', I felt confident enough to pay in advance through etransfer the afternoon before my scheduled appointment, so I wouldn't need to wait at home.
Unfortunately no one showed up for that appointment.
When I asked about it, I received an apology stating "they should have been there", even though this company is supposedly a one man operation.
A second appointment was arranged. A promise of a 15% refund to make up for the error was made (that partial refund was never received).
No one showed up for the second appointment either.
After no response to my text messages (Reynolds doesn't accept voice mail), and no answer when I called, I decided to try calling from a different number and managed to get someone on the phone.
Another apology was made, and an appointment was booked for the following morning. Once again, no one showed up.
Texted to let them know that I'd like a refund as this was the third no show. Was promised the refund would be issued "ASAP".
After several texts, emails, many promises (and lots of excuses) I still haven't received a refund 3 weeks after being promised it would be given, and 5 weeks after the initial payment was made.
I approached this company because I wanted to support local businesses.
Lesson learned. I'll just stick with the big guys from now on.
My advice would be to look elsewhere.
