Do not hire Gentry Waterproofing..
The work is not completed as promised from July 2013 after the huge rain storm in Toronto. We have huge sink holes around the house exposing the improperly attached waterproofing materials? Cannot get a response from many phone calls,emails with pictures to come and fix it. My neighbour is a Civil Engineer, and assures me that the waterproofing was not done properly and to expect further problems ?? BBB has many complaints against this company including advertising being a member of BBB when they are not !! WHATEVER YOU DO..DO NOT HIRE DARREN PETERS CO. GENTRY WATERPROOFING...

As the customer says in his review the only problem was the dirt sinking in front of the area that Gentry Waterproofing dug to stop a water leak into the customers basement. When Gentry finished there was dirt left over and Gentry told the customer the dirt would settle and we would have to come back and fill up the hole at a later date. The customer said he did not want any dirt left in his driveway and insured us that someone was doing the concrete walkway and they would fill it in with stone and to please remove all leftover dirt from the property. A few months later the customer calls and asks for gentry to bring dirt and fill up the hole. Gentry Responded by telling the customer there would be a cost to buying dirt, delivering to his property and wheelbarrowing to his back yard and filling in the hole. The customer did not like this response. Once again the waterproofing job was done perfectly and Gentry has still not had a Warranty issue with this customer because the leak on this side of the basement as well as the opposite side of his house has not reoccurred since Gentry did the Waterproofing repair at this residence. Gentry didn't know that this review was on Homestars and that Gentry only had 6 months to investigate the review before Homestars cannot remove a disputed review otherwise this review would of been removed by Homestars (as Per Homestars Head office) because there is not any problems with the actual waterproofing job done by Gentry. Just like the BBB did nothing because the job was completed the customer signed off on the job and the only call back was to bring dirt back to fill in a hole that Gentry told the customer would settle and not a warranty issue with water leaking back into the basement. Gentry feels like this customer gave a poor review because it wouldn't bring dirt to the property and that is it and hopes that the customer will correct its review because they know this to be true.
