Moving from Toronto to Calgary

THE WORSE MOVING COMPANY EVER!! I contacted them more than a month ago, Matthew sound very professional and responsible and as soon as I booked with them, they started acting extremely disrecpecful. I called them several and they just put on hold for 20 min or longer. When I finally have my furniture delivered I noticed there was a box missing, so called them to make a claim and their very cheap receptionist did not let me to contact their representative (Tracey or Matthew) and her answer was that "SHE DOES NOT GET PAY ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH MY Sh**t!". Clearly she doesn't get pay at all! Plese STAY AWAY from this company! They are TERRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, UNETHICAL, and EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL!! Today I still haven't heard from them.

Moving

The Absolute Worse Moving Company, Dishonest and Heartless! We were promised directly by Mathew ( Owner) that our belongings where to arrive with in 2 to 5 days but in fact did not show up 3 weeks later. We did not receive any phone calls from Landmark during the 3 weeks and it was impossible to get a straight answer from the company as to when our belongings would arrive .Every time we called we were directed to the manager who was unreachable as we left message after message with no response. At one point we were told that the truck had broken down but was later discovered that it was not the case as we discussed this situation to the driver when he finally arrived. Also a customer service rep let it slip that the company was waiting for more deliveries in our area before they make our delivery. On the day our belongings arrived we finally got through to the manager hours before the delivery truck showed up. For our trouble he told us that we would receive a %5 discount...... pocket change compared to the how much the move cost as well as the pain and suffering Landmark put our family with 2 small children through. When the delivery showed up the driver claimed that he knew nothing about the discount and said we had to pay in full or our belongings would be put in to storage. As our things were held at ransom we had to pay the full bill. PLEASE! PLEASE! do not use this moving company they are horrible to have put my family through the worst time of our LIVES!

Moving and storage

Called and arranged pickup with Mathew for August 21st as we were flying out august 20th and was told 1 week till delivery after numerous calls it was picked up over 1 week late then after hundreds of calls and hundreds of promises later my goods finally arrived 1 month after we had left our place of pickup.
We had not one phone call or email whatsoever in all this time and i was doing all the calling. In my one month of stress the one call i did get was to say how much i owed them and this too was far more than quoted.
On there website they state "let us take the stress out of your move" when it should say "we will pick up whenever then drop off whenever and charge whatever"
I feel for everyone who's previous comments i read as i know what you have been through.
There needs to be more regulations with moving company's like this.
Anyhow no matter what do not use this company.

Move from Toronto to Vancouver

Our stuff was picked up on August 30th. They charged our credit card, then screwed up the billing and we had to pay a second time direct deposit to the company. They held our stuff throughout this time in Toronto and would not release it to Vancouver. Each time we called to ask about the status of our delivery, they said "your shipment has just left Toronto today." We rented a place in Vancouver and still cannot move in because our stuff has not arrived and we have no idea when it will. When we first inquired about their services, they said it takes 5-10 days for delivery. It has now been 17 days and they estimate another 10 minimum. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!
On top of that, they overcharged us by $100...

Move from Ottawa to Dieppe

They picked-up our shipment August 23rd. Promised delivery August 26th and confirmation of delivery August 25th.
August 25th 3PM called the rep we dealt with - Matthew - to confirm weight, cost, delivery was told accounting would email me.
August 26th 930AM called and spoke to Henry as Matthew away that day - Was told we had to pay before delivery Negotiated to pay portion and pay balance upon delivery - Credit card payment was promptly taken. Items were still in Toronto and would be loaded as truck was leaving that evening. Promised delivery August 28th.
August 27th - 10AM called spoke to Matthew and was informed would be afternoon delivery and would call me prior to arriving
August 28th - Called Matthew at 1PM to see WHEN the movers would show up - was told between 5 and 7PM
Guess what? STILL waiting
Sent email to Matthew informing him that if shipment was not delivered prior to 10AM I would be filing theft report with local police and claiming from insurance. Tried calling at least 50 times.
August 29th Finally got them on the phone at 930AM to be told to tone it down and calm down the stuff would be delivered. I was told I could go check their warehouse in Scarborough - I am in Ottawa to see it was there - What you just told me my stuff was going to be delivered any minute. Was told could not confirm time as drivers' phones were not working - So how in this world can you tell me I will be getting delivery today if we cannot get a hold of the movers? All bull poop!
Anyways I told them I was going forward with police report and insurance and they laughed in my face and told me I was being ridiculous. I do not think that when your items are not delivered and you are unable to talk to anyone at the company and they have taken pre-payment that it is exaggerated in these times to go forward with such action. Additionally considering the reviews on here....no further comment.

It is now 1050AM and I just got a call from the truck drivers themselves telling me they would be at our house in about 40 minutes to deliver our shipment. They also told me that they needed a credit card - NO WAY JOSE - we have a nice bank draft for you and at this point delivery my stuff and you either take the bank draft or leave it - simple as that.
When I spoke to the company I asked for compensation and they told me they were sorry as we seemed upset - I am not quite sure what comes after upset but I am way past that stage....They think saying sorry will make up for all the stress and time lost trying to find out shipment and I am convinced the ONLY reason we are getting our shipment is that I threatened police report and action against them. Strangely enough our insurance company have other claims against this very same company. To be followed on delivery of items.....

Moving from ON to NS

Absolutely horrific experience, and its not done yet! Booked a move from Brampton, ON to Halifax, NS with Matthew from Landmark.We were told that Landmark would be calling us the morning of the 10th Aug to deliver our stuff but today is 21st Aug and still it's not done. The weight slip was never shown to us. We paid in full, and still have not received our belongings. It is now the 21st of August, and we were promised our items in 4-5 business days. This company is great when booking and sounds professional, but once they have your items, you cannot get ahold of them. You sit on hold for over 20 minutes to have them hang up on you, or tell you that the person you want to speak with is out of the office or on the other line. This person, or any other person, NEVER calls you back. They have caused so many problems for us, and think that apologies are going to be enough. My dad's medical supplies are on that truck, and they don't seem to care. Please do not hire this company...you will not receive the common courtesy of a phone call or be able to locate any of your stuff. You will overpay and not receive your stuff. We are terrified at this point that our stuff has been lost. What a joke! Do yourself a favour and stay clear of this company!!!

Home Removal

Gave the company a deposit against their estimate for moving from ON to NS, when I received no follow up paperwork I tried to contact the person who sent me the estimate, an impossible task. I requested my deposit back, and chased for over a week, no result. The customer service at this company is appalling!! Finally got offered a refund, because they wanted this review removing, but I'm guessing if I hadn't written this review they'd have kept my deposit :)
