From the time Scott came by to give us a quote and answer all of our questions to end of job, everything went smoothly and we were happy with the service.

Scott did a wonderful job explaining what would be done (replacing flashings, adding ventilation, cleaning the eavestroughs, cleaning up afterwards, all the details). The workers did an excellent job. They were on time everyday and worked to get the job done as quickly and efficiently as possible. I was impressed with their professionalism. But mostly impressed with their coming out to do my roof on Good Friday, Saturday, and even a bit on Easter Sunday. With rain in the forecast for the following week, and a window of opportunity, they got the job done.

Excellent company, workmanship, time management. I had the roof done in September but waited until now to review. Absolutely no problems. Looks fantastic. Above and beyond expectations. Scott was awesome.

First off I would just like to say that Scott truly cares about customer satisfaction! From the first day I met Scott, I had a pretty good idea that I would be satisfied with Bassindale. I still went about my due diligence and received a few more quotes. With all being roughly the same, Scott stood out the most by being the only person to actually go on the roof in order to get a good idea of the current condition of the roofing system. He was also the ony person to mention we could use better soffit ventilation. I was sold.

The crew was fantastic. I was home all day during the installation and was very satisfied with their professionalism. The roof looks great, and Scott is always available for any questions I may have even after the completion of the job!

I had to replace my roof this year (2015). After internet research I understood that it is very important to hire competent, knowledgeable, fully insured and certified by roofing manufacturers contractor. Bassindale Roofing was one of dozen roofing contractors I contacted to replace my roof. Scott provided a clear and detailed description of the high quality materials and workmanship proposed to replace my 15 years old (original) roof. Scott approached my roof as a roofing system, and not just re-shingling upper surface of the roof. Scott identified ventilation problem (from original builder) and fixed it by installing additional roof baffles inside the attic and more roof vents to provide with adequate roof ventilation. Proposed by Scoot premium roofing system included synthetic underlayment and drip edges, those were not part of other quotes. Great workmanship combined with extended labor warranty makes Bassindale one of the top roofing contractors on the market (and I am not related to any Bassindale employee). I would definitely recommend Bassindale Roofing to other homeowners.

4 months later – as of August 2015 no shingles were blown (or missing) as result of strong winds in our area. Also it seems that now roofing shingles are “settled” under the sun.

I have obtained several quotes before contacting Scott at Bassindale Bros Roofing. His quote was competitive, I have some cheaper quotes but they have really raised red flags with me for various reasons (quote by Google Maps, vague details etc.) and I was impressed by his attention to detail and detailed explanations about all procedures and materials. His material is one of the two best on the market, lifetime warranty etc. and just communicating with him personally he inspired more trust in me than others. I voiced concern about inadequate ventilation we have, and he offered to install 4 Maxximum vents at the same cost as default ones (he had them slightly used from another project). Vents were huge and looked new to me, so I noted his honesty by not asking me to pay extra. When his team actually arrived and started working it impressed me even more: Scott went to my attic and installed multiple air ducts allowing free air flow from soffits, connected my 3 attic spaces together to improve air flow and made other improvements - quite a lot of work that was not in the estimate, at no additional charge. He replaced exhaust vent on the side of my house (not the roof) that made noise in the wind that he noticed, also free. Then he calculated that my soffits do not have enough intake for improved vents on the roof. So after consulting with vent manufacturer he installed some high-capacity soffit vents for me. It took quite a while to order them and get them to me, but Scott did not charge me for additional work and even for the materials, so all this extra work with no additional charge! And after we settled on the esitmate, I did not have to argue with him or haggle, it was all straight forward. He wants his work to be 100% thorough, and that impresses me. Any extra work he did free of charge was at his initiative. I don't have qualification to really judge the quality of the roof installation, but it looked very neat to me, all materials and underlayment were installed as described. Everything looked neat and solid. They really have used 5-6 nails on each shingle instead of minimum recommended 4 (he mentioned they use 5). Cleanup was good. No attempts whatsoever were made to extract more money from me above estimated amount (I hate when it happens!), moreover he went above and beyond what was estimated. Many roofer won't even go to check the attic, let alone install dozens of air ducts and improved ventilation. I recommended Scott to several friends and at least one has already done his roof with him and is happy with the result.

I received a quote from Bassindale Bros last year, but wasn't able to move forward with getting my roof done. I contacted Scott (owner) at the beginning of May, and he honoured last year's quote - when does that ever happen?! That is incredible customer service. He was even able to fit me in the next day!

His crew arrived right on time, they were polite, respectful, and were totally done by 4pm! Their contract states "meticulous clean-up", and they aren't kidding - I was so impressed with how well they cleaned.

I would highly recommend Bassindale Bros Roofing. I am so happy with my new roof. :)
