I have been doing home reno work for sometime so I am quite familiar with what to look out for in a home. I found Mike to be very knowledgeable and a great second pair of eyes. He was able to point things out that I overlooked. That is what you want in an inspection. He takes the time to thoroughly explain his findings and concerns as he works his way through the home. Mike is very professional and prompt. His reports are top notch and completed so quickly after the inspection so things are still fresh in his mind. I have no reservations in recommending Mike.

Mike was extremely professional, knowledgeable and helpful for us while we were attempting to purchase a home to start a family in. I was very surprised to see that he was already on the site 15 minutes prior to our appointment when we showed up to have a look around the outside first. (later learned that he comes 1/2hr early to start exterior evaluation) He saw some things that really helped us make a smart decision about the property. We will use him again the next time that we have an accepted offer. I really believe that he saved us a lot of headaches.

We are first time home buyers and have heard many horror stories relating to home inspectors. As I searched on google, I came across Heeley home inspections and saw rave reviews on homestars.com, so we took the chance and contacted Mike Heeley. I contacted Mike and was impressed to receive a call back in less than an hour after I had left a message. After some discussion over the phone we booked the home inspection the next day. He asked who my realtor was but did not ask for any of his contact information. To my surprise, he sent a confirmation email of the appointment to myself and the realtor a few minutes after we got off the phone. I was extremely impressed with the prompt responses and professionalism. He arrived half an hour early for the home inspection and started prior to my arrival at the property. When I arrived, he thoroughly went through all the items he found so far and showed me the problem areas. He was very knowledgeable and quickly found deficiencies on the property. We then proceeded to survey the outside and inside of the property. Mike was very thorough with his inspection pointing out all of the areas of concern. He provided recommendations and was up front about potential issues. I was extremely impressed with the level of engagement and dialogue regarding the property. I cannot express enough how impressed we were throughout the entire process of the inspection. After the whole process was complete, we reviewed all his findings and discussed prioritization of each problem area. He had advised that we would receive a formal report and pictures a couple of hours after the meeting. Thinking it was late in the night already when the inspection was completed, I did not expect the report until the next day. 2 hours after the inspection was completed, I received the full report, as Mike had promised. I was blown away by Mike's overall professionalism and knowledge in his industry. I had discussed the experience with my realtor as well and he concurred that the level of detail provided surpasses any inspectors he has come across from his experience. The detailed report was exactly what we were looking for, containing each problem area, recommendations, priority, and possible timelines (when applicable). II would highly recommend Heeley Home Inspection.

I thought all the other reviews were fabricated. I was proven wrong. Like everyone says Mike was at the home ahead of schedule and had already come off the roof when we arrived on time. That must be his trademark. lol Mike was personable, very thorough, knowledgeable and so helpful in adding extra tips and advice as we went along about every detail. His rate was very fair for the quality and detailed service he provided. The inspection took around 2:45 hrs for a 240 sq.' home. He is an excellent inspector and had the tools to do a great job. Mike Heeley of Heeley Home Inspections came out to inspect an old home I am wanting to renovate for a quick turnover. As a contractor; I am used to the average inspector coming over and doing an average inspection. Mike is far from average. Mike was on time and eager to get started. He was quite thorough and knowing I was a first-time buyer, added several tips and strategies for dealing with maintenance and other issues beyond the scope of the inspection.
