Trail Appliances

POOR SERVICE, TOOK AN UNREASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO BOOK THE APPOINTMENT AND WHEN THE SERVICE PERSON SHOWED UP HE WAS UNFAMILIAR WITH THE APPLIANCE EVEN THOUGH ALL THE DETAILS WERE PROVIDED. UNIT WASN'T REPAIRED ON FIRST VISIT AND NO RETURN APPOINTMENT WAS MADE.

I want to be fair so I've amended this post. I did hear back from Trail yesterday and they have given me the extended service contract on the washer. Calls weren't returned because someone didn't pick up messages as directed. I appreciate the contract and I also had to ask for it. Still unnecessarily difficult to get this project handled.

I am so disappointed in Trail Appliances. I bought my old washer and dryer from them 25 years ago and never had a problem. This time out, 3 new appliances and nothing but trouble from the start. The diswasher wasn't installed correctly and had to be redone and the FIRST washer never worked right out of the box. I spent a total of 5 days waiting for service, installations, pickup and drop-off of new washer. Working with these people cost me money.

I talked to sales people, sales managers, service people, schedulers, and finally got through to a family member in the ownership group and still couldn't get any satisfaction. It was up to me to ask for a new washer, a refund of the installation fee...everything. Not once did anyone offer to do anything for me. And yet both the salesperson and the service tech tried to sell me the extended warranty contract because I guess this stuff is worthless in 12 months when the warranty runs out.

Everything happens on their time and their schedule. They say they want me as a customer but do nothing to support that or make it happen. The family member told me he was the future of the business and wanted things to work out then when I asked for a service contract in lieu of all the hassle and lost wages waiting around all day (5 times) for techs or trucks to arrive (even 2nd washer was scratched), he said he would check into it and stopped returning my calls. It would appear that they don't mean what they say.

Very disappointed in the company. Things have really changed at Trail and not for the better in my opinion. I won't shop there again and certainly do NOT recommend them.

I dealt with Trail with the first house I buit in Red Deer as well as the second in Chestermere and both times, they were the only comany that I could find that was willing to negotiate pricing on a package that included the fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. I replaced my dishwasher with them and will purchase a washer and dryer from them this spring. They're selection is always great and they are friendly, helpful and welcome the business.

As we selected our appliances I found lots to choose from and prices are fair. I also found the sales guy full of info and suggested what would suit us best. I would go back with Trail anytime. I got everything I wanted with in our budget.

I had to buy a whole kitchen full of appliances for my new home and had the pleasure of dealing with Michael who was super knowledgeable and had great cost effective suggestions to get me exactly what I wanted. I wanted a high end look without breaking the budget and he was able to show me some great promotions on a line that I might not have looked at. I'm so excited to see my new kitchen come together and to cook with my fab new appliances. Everyone should go to trail for appliances...GREAT service

They provide efficient service. Salesman was knowledgeable and helpful and delivery persons are good at what they did. Prices may not be the best but acceptable. They honour their matchable price when I showed them the competitor's pricing.

Service was good. Staff was a little overbearing and pushy at times, but generally an ok experience. Our family is very happy with the appliance. It has served us well, although the glass top can be difficult to clean. We have purchase other appliances here in the past and we find they stock good quality items.

Purchased all new applinaces from Trail. Found the selection to be large. There seemed to be alot of staff working however it took quite awhile to get someone to help us. When we did get a staff member he was very knowledgable and helpful

Repair of dishwasher purchased from them. Overall enjoyed the quiet operation of stainless steel Bosch dishwasher It has been a lifesaver and cleans efficiently. Wash cycle is too long however. Repair cost seems expensive compared to initial cost.

Purchased an over the range microwave oven / hood fan. I was very specific about the model I wanted and they accommodated very well. Gave me what I think is a very good price and a referral to a contractor to install it for me (which I used and was happy with). The salesman provided all the info to me over the phone and by email which I appreciated as I couldn't get into the store on my busy schedule
