Nortec billed us for an extra hour of work for their plumbers to come back to fix a tap that they left leaking. The handle was put back on in a manner such that it did not line up properly and the cartridge would not turn off. I phoned to complain about the bill but they would not cooperate to resolve the matter. Since they take your visa ahead of time, watch out. They do not have fair billing practices and are dishonest. I would strongly advise you to look elsewhere. They are opportunists.
My mother called this company for help because she had no hot water. Her home boiler needed to be serviced. Nortec came and "fixed" the problem begrudgingly, and seemed upset the moment he came there. He was upset because of the time the job was going to take. He left saying it was fixed. It wasn't, and she still had no hot water. She called the company, and the receptionist was very very rude to a senior, and even hung up the phone up. she said she didnt have to listen to anyone complaining about their work!!!! unbelievable!!! My 72 yr old mother had to deal with a company that was supposed to help her, not inflict extra costs when the problem wasnt fixed. She ended up calling another company to come, and they were extremely helpful and fixed the boiler. But my mother is still very upset, and we all can't believe how unprofessional and unkind Nortec is. We are waiting for the bill, to see how much they are going to charge a senior citizen for doing nothing but treat her crappy.
I have used this company numerous times and have been very pleased with some of the service personnel and unhappy with others. There is one plumber I ask for now and he is very knowledgeable and respectful. He is a great guy and worth waiting for if the situation isn't urgent.
