Clear View Plumbing and Heating is a prime example of why it is important to get more than one quote.

My 10-year-old hot water tank was leaking, and I asked for a quote for either a new tank or tankless system. The Clear View representative came on July 18th and was nice enough. He provided a handwritten quote.

The quote was not competitive.
o 1.93 times the second-highest quote
o 2.58 times that of a higher-rated competitor.

We were charged $51 for the quote
o It didnt provide the water tank manufacturer or model.

In a Clear View website chat on July 22nd, Avery wrote that an estimate for new equipment is free.

I am not certain why I was charged $51, but I would not recommend Clear View since it is clearly not competitive.

I will not use their service.

I was sold on a high end air conditioner unit and was delivered a lower quality unit, at an inflated price. I tried to get out of the contract, but it was too late. Stay away, they overcharge.

Clearview came the same day, the guy was close to on time and professional. He spent less than an how, he reached a faucet cartridge a $40 part and cleaned out some calcium deposit in the pipe. I was blown away that my bill was over $600. I had my hotwater tank replaced 2 months ago and it cost $1400 all in labour included. I won't call them again their pricing is the most I have ever seen by a plumber.

Sam from clear view plumbing and heating was very professional and thorough when he came to check out a sewer problem that we were having. He gave us many options to choose from to fix our problem, which was greatly appreciated.

Gerry's visit was part of our annual family plan checkups of heating, air con & plumbing. As always, Clearview staff are polite, careful to respect your home (shoe coverings, face mask), and efficient. Gerry was no exception. We find this plan to be a good value.

Tech (Heinz) was loud, in your face. He tells you he checked everything and the heat was working BUT then tell me he can do a DIAGNOSTIC test ...... costing $600+ Really? WHY??? WHAT FOR???? Unnecessary test only costing more for nothing. First time I used them and will be last.

Proceed with caution! This is the most expensive plumbing company in the Calgary area. They advertise a $199 special for a drain cleanout but somehow my bill was $1100 for exactly what they advertise. The job took 20 minutes, the blockage was right by the cleanout and the auger was run in about 6 feet. They are quick to quote the list of terms and conditions to justify their outrageous pricing. I'm sure no one has ever received this "special" rate. Any other plumbing company would have done this work for half the cost. How you charge $1100 for 20 minutes of work is beyond me!

Jon was friendly, knowledgeable, and quick. He pointed out some mistakes that were made by our contractor and had answers to resolve the issue. Overall a great experience.
