Light fixtures

Not only are the staff unhelpful but rude as well. Was told the lights I wanted were out of stock and in order to bring my lights in I’d have to pay a deposit. Was told lights would be there in 2 days, I called THREE times on the day they were due and was told “give me your number I’ll call you back”. I received no call back. The third call I was finally told they were back ordered at the warehouse and they’d be in the following week. After explaining the electrician was booked and I couldn’t wait I was told I could pick them up at the warehouse (I thought they were backordered?!?). Fine, went to the warehouse to get them and the warehouse said the store never called, never ordered them and they had plenty in stock plus they make regular deliveries to the store. I had to call the store to make the balance payment before the warehouse would release them and as I’m paying for the privilege of picking up my own lights I explain to the sales associate that the warehouse never received the order. The sales girl told me I was rude after being caught in her story ( L I E) of being backordered .
They also told me that they had a full refund policy but the website clearly says they only offer store credit.
I try to give business to smaller local stores whenever possible but with staff, policies and drama like this with no “head office” to answer to it makes it hard to trust small business owners.

Ultra lighting Mississauga worst customer service

The worst and unacceptable customer service. Buyers be aware. Very nice when selling the products only. Bought Crystal $1,000 chendelier and couldn't turn the light off. After making few trips to the store and returning chandelier received a store credit which was never recognized. Beginning of December went with the store credit, placed an order for another Chandelier. I was told that it will arrive within 2 - 3 weeks and definitely we will receive it before Christmas. I left store peacefully and started driving. All of a sudden, store clerk started to run against my car screaming and hitting my side car window that my order will never be placed. I was very scared. Half a year and issue is still not resolved.

Defective Pendants

We ordered a 24 light chandelier and 8 additional the same style mini pendants from Mississauga location. The big light fixture was ok, but small pendants were defective 0,5" smaller than stated on the website. We returned them to the store to exchange for new pendants the same style but a little bit bigger. First they said the new pendants will arrive in a week, then they said they are backordered and will be only in 9 weeks . We could not wait so long and asked for a refund. They were simply rude, just ignored everything we said. No refund. Stay away from this place!Horrible customer service, attitude, horrible policy. Never ever.

Light Fixture

Horrible Service, in particular from Brian the so called owner. He told me he would take a fixture back, but when his fellow worker Mohan knew about this-he did not approve and Brian went back on his word and gave me a story full of BS. Prima lighting in vaughn MUCH better. Do not go here, you will regret it. Not many fixture options, horrible customer service, and an owner that does not keep his word to the customers. Save yourself the grief and go somewhere else.

Lights

I have purchased over $1400 worth of chandelier's, lights and lamps for my new house from Ultra Lightning. It took me some time to finish installing them. When the certified electricians from Bona Electric did an install, it appeared that the employees from Ultra Lighting have sold me broken bathroom chandelier. When I brought in the lamp for service, they have informed that they can't give me a cash refund, and that they will send the product to the manufacturer for service. Around 2 weeks passed and I got a phone call from the sales person informing me that that I have to pay additional $100 for service the faulty product which they sold. Furthermore the account manager charged me for a box of light bulbs which to this day I haven't received.

pendant lighting

Sold me lighting for $1200 that would not work even after spending lots of time showing the salesman pictures of the lighting location.
Refused to give me a refund even though they took my $ before telling me about the no refund policy, then demanded a 25% restocking charge PLUS shipping to return product they sold me that was incorrect and would only give me a store credit.
The owner hung up on me numerous times.
The worst experience I've ever had! Do NOT buy here!!!

Found the same lighting in Cambridge 25% cheaper and they spent the time with me to help me come up with another option to make the glass pendants work. Cambridge said if I had purchased with them and it didn't work, they would have sent it back NO CHARGE to me AND given me a credit!

CHECK REFUND POLICIES BEFORE YOU BUY!!!

Dining light

After looking everywhere for just the right dining light to go with our new dining table, we came across Ultra Lighting by complete accident, while walking around Queen W. While the store on Spadina has only recently opened, Ultra Lighting has been around for a while, having recently moved from their old Church Street location. Not only were my wife and I impressed with the range of modern fixtures that the store had, but also by the great prices we found. Another pleasant surprise was the great service we found at the store. Each time we've gone in, we've never felt pressured to buy. Also the owners are also very helpful in providing great advice to assist with each purchase. Our new dining light has transformed our dining room and goes perfectly with our table!
